Dress was ordered. During payment process an old mailing address was entered. I immediately notified vendor of correct address. The correct mailing/shipping address shows on receipt; however, dress was shipped to incorrect address, a * * *** ** ********* *** ********* ** **** returned dress to vendor. Tracking shows return 2 days later. I did not inquire about delivery because (1) I notified vendor of correct address and (2) receipt shows correct shipping address. Also, Vendor was scheduled to be at an event in ** ** July and notified the Sorority that dress shipments would occur after that event due to inventory concerns. When I notified vendor of issue and that I had verified with Post Office that item was returned, the vendor stated she did not receive the item. I went further and requested proof from Post Office, hoping this would resolve my issue. It has not. Vendor's response is that I need to file a claim with USPS and I cannot expect to receive a free dress. I need the dress or a refund. It is too late to file a claim with USPS and a claim is ridiculous since I have given vendor proof of delivery. I can provide screen shots of our conversations if necessary. Vendor response is that she lives on a family compound and they do not have porch thieves --- nevertheless, the dress was delivered to her on July 17, 2024.

    Hello
we have talked to her and her chapter’s president about this issue. We advise her to file a claim with the post office. We 1st learned about the missing dress in August over a month after it was mailed. She provided the wrong address not us. We don’t input addresses. We don’t know where she lives. We didn’t get the dress back. If we did then we would have reached out to her like we do other clients. She needs to go through the post office to receive her money back because she paid for insurance with the purchase of the postal service. The client has to fill it out . She inputted her address wrong and wants to blame us for her mistake. We will be seeking out legal action against her and report this issue to the organization.

I have reached out to USPS and received verification that package was returned and delivered to Vendor. Vendor continues to allege she did not receive the package. I do not see a specific request from BBB to respond to,

Yes, address was entered incorrectly. I notified Vendor IMMEDIATELY, at email address listed on receipt, of correct address. Vendor shipped dress 1 week later - without correcting address.

The fact that the address was incorrect is irrelevant. The Item was returned to Vendor - as proven by attachments from USPS. The length of time it took for me to notify Vendor is because I was expecting the Vendor to update shipping address, as they had been notified. Also, my group ordered several dresses and we were told many dress shipments would be delayed due to Vendor attending an event in ** in July - so I did not expect shipment until much later.

I cannot file a claim with USPS because their records show the item was returned to Vendor (again, proof was attached) and a claim cannot be submitted after 30 days.

I am not blaming the vendor for anything other than 1. not correcting address as notified, 2. shipping item 7 days later to incorrect address 3. claiming not to have received returned item from post office, even though proof has been submitted that item was returned.

Speaking with the president of my organization is irrelevant -- I paid for the product - not the president of my group.

Vendor alleges not receiving my email that notified them of address change, alleging she did not see my email. How is poor business practice the blame of the customer.

The vendor sent  shipping confirmation to my email address ([email protected]) but apparently does not check incoming email routinely. The same must be true for incoming packages.

This issue is a clear example of fraud.

This is not fraudulent when everyone in your chapter knows their address and has gotten their dress. Also most of the chapter got their dress prior to *****. You contact the president then she asked me about the order. This is how we found out you don’t know your address.

Why do we keep going around the mulberry bush about my address? My address is not the issue..the issue is the item WAS sent to the I correct address AFTER vendor was notified of correct address and USPS confirmed the return of the item. Please stop harping on my incorrect address. That became a non issue once USPS returned the dress to vendor. The item was confirmed to have been returned to vendor and no one is addressing that issue, which is the only issue. Whether or not others received their dresses does not concern me because I did not receive mine once USPS returned it to the Vendor. This is not an issue or concern of my organization it is my concern, my money was spent not the agency's money. I have nothing to dispute the return of the item to the vendor. Vendor has not, to my knowledge, reached out to USPS to dispute their delivery records showing return. Vendor only continues to attempt to deflect the issue to the address. I have admitted to ****** pay mistake of inputting a very old address,  but I also notified the vendor 7 days prior to shipment AND once the item was shipped to the incorrect address USPS immediately returned it. I've done all the work to reach out to USPS but vendor instead is sitting in her laurels continuing to acknowledge the non issue of address and the real issue. Let's move the conversation from the non issue to the real issue of the return of the item by USPS or some proof the item was not returned. If item was misplaced or lost, just say so or prove the item was NOT delivered to vendor as USPS records show.

The key point this is your fault at the end the day. You want a free dress. Evidence shows our addy and we didn’t get it. We are calling the police and filing harassment charges.
