  D***** M***** is the business owner. We had a verbal agreement (only because he never supplied a contract) and written invoice for stain, varnish and repair work on our house in Ellijay. M***** agreed to send photos as the job progressed. We agreed to pay via Venmo an initial deposit for materials. The balance would be paid when work was complete. Because we live out of town and this is a second home, we had someone checking on the work as well. After 1 month we received a limited number of photos showing work done. Then M***** took all his equipment and abandoned the job site with the work unfinished. He told us the work was completed and asked for the balance agreed upon. We unfortunately took his word and paid the balance. When we arrived at the house a week later, the work was not done to our satisfaction and not complete. Areas of the house had not been touched - not cleaned, not repaired, not stained and not varnished. All of the windows were covered with stain and varnish. Screens from the porch were laying on the ground, dirty and covered with debris. The window sills were not touched. Empty cans of stain showed that he did not use the promised quality brand (Sherwin Williams) but instead a cheaper brand. When confronted he had various excuses and claimed he would finish the work and fix our issues. We presented him all issues verbally and written. Immediately he blocked our calls and didn't respond to text or email. After 3 months of chasing him, we "fired" him by text and email. We now have had to threaten to call law enforcement if he enters our property. Since our experience, other people have contacted us with similar stories. This business is a scam.
