My functional medicine doctor requested several different lab tests for me. My doctor stated that I would pay $99 dollars for the tests. Each sheet she gave me indicated I would pay $99. I paid each time she requested a test. I thought everything was fine until two years ago. I got an email from Dunwoody stating that I owed a little over $400. I explained that I had paid $99 each time, based on the paperwork from my doctor. I requested proof they had contacted my insurance company and they denied the request to pay for the labs. At that time, I received an email back that stated she would accept a $200 payment and my **** would be closed. I did not pay $200, because that was not the agreement my doctor had with Dunwoody and I had paid $99 every time I got a test. I never heard from them again until April 27, 2022. I received an email from ****** that stated my **** was $694.00 and the statement date was May 1, 2021. I requested an itemized **** and evidence of these charges. I have never received a paper ****. I sent two follow up emails and never received a response. Today, May 8, 2022, I sent another email asking for evidence when they contacted my insurance company or contacted them for payment. I received an email back that my message had been blocked. After I received that message, I did some research on Dunwoody Labs and read a few unfavorable things about this lab. I also saw they are permanently closed and now the lab is ***************************. I believe Dunwoody Labs has unethical practices and I understand why they are no longer in business. All they want is money and they are deceiving the doctors they work with.
