Web Design Glory was engaged for the creation of a website for my subscription-based business. The company has exhibited unprofessional behavior and extreme delays, despite nearly a year having passed since the project began.Initial Agreement took place on *************** cost for the website development was $900, paid in four installments:($225) at project start, (paid).($225) upon design approval (paid).($225) upon back-end completion (paid).($225) before going live (paid even though site is not yet live).A questionnaire was filled out outlining the features for the website, which the business acknowledged.Initial agreement included member dashboard with an admin panel to manage subscriber content. Despite this, the company later insisted on an amendment to include these features, which was agreed upon on 06-14-2024, for an additional $525:$131 Project Mobilization Fee (paid).$131 upon approval of mockups (paid).$263 upon completion (pending)On July 2024, due to the company's lack of response and unprofessionalism, we left negative reviews on various platforms and the company then promised to complete the members' dashboard and replaced the project manager.Since 07-17-2024, the company has been working on developing and implementing the member dashboard. Front-end mockups were presented and approved in October 2024, but since then, deadlines for the back-end and admin panel have repeatedly been set and missed. Despite multiple follow-ups, the company provides vague responses, and most of the time, it takes 3 to 5 emails from my side just to receive an update, which often results in another delayed *********** date, the company has not provided a complete presentation of how the integration of the member dashboard will *********** definitive date has been given for the final delivery of the project so that it can go live.I request the BBB to intervene and ensure that the company completes the project as initially agreed upon in a timely manner.Business Response

Complaint: 22925535
I am rejecting this response because:Response to Web Design Glorys Statement Regarding My Complaint
Thank you for providing Web Design Glorys response to my complaint. However, their account of events contains significant inaccuracies, particularly regarding communication and feedback. I would like to clarify the timeline with factual details:
Email Sequence Misrepresentation:
Web Design Glory tailored the sequence of emails provided, omitting my responses to their communication. This creates a misleading impression that I was unresponsive, which is simply untrue.
Timeline of Key Communications:
On January 16, 2025, they sent me a test link URL and credentials to access the members dashboard. I responded the same day, noting that what was provided was the same mockups we had reviewed months ago, with no admin panel functionality included. I followed up multiple times on the same day, as well as on January 17, 20, and 21, without receiving any functional progress.
On January 21, Web Design Glory responded, stating they would send me an update by the end of the week. I immediately asked for meeting credentials for that week. They stated that meeting credentials would be sent after providing the admin panel (around January 27).
On January 27, they sent me a test link for the admin panel. I responded on January 28, requesting meeting credentials to review the work and provide feedback. I followed up on January 31 and February 3 but did not receive any responses.
On February 4, I finally received a response saying they could showcase the work later that week. On February 6, I again requested meeting credentials. Their response came on February 7, stating they had a packed schedule and could only meet the following week.
On February 14, I followed up again after receiving no communication from their side the entire week. They then claimed I had not provided feedback, which is factually incorrect.
Summary of Misrepresentation:
Throughout this process, I have consistently requested progress updates and provided feedback promptly when functional work was presented. Web Design Glorys failure to provide updates or honor commitments for meetings and demonstrations has been the primary cause of the delay. Their assertion that I was unresponsive is disingenuous and does not reflect the actual communication timeline.
Proposed Resolution:
To resolve this matter fairly, I request the following:
Complete transparency of work progress with a detailed demonstration of all current functionality.
Clear and confirmed meeting arrangements to allow me to review the work and provide final feedback without further delays.
I remain committed to working in good faith to resolve the project, but Web Design Glory must be transparent and accurate moving forward. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
**** ************Business Response

Hello, on 11/1/24, I hired Web Design Glory to make some changes to my current website, ******************. We agreed on $100 to move the products to a separate page. I paid them and spoke with them to give them more details on how I wanted it to look. On 11/7, they reached out and suggested I move my website from ******* to Wordpress for $799, which is not something I could afford to do. They said they wouldnt be able to make the changes on the current website platform unless I bought an increased capacity plan on ******* which is expensive. I told them that if thats the case and if they cant complete the work without more funds, then we cant move forward and requested a refund. At first; they declined the refund because they said it was my decision to terminate the agreement. Today, 11/12, someone reached out to me and said they could refund me 66%, not 100%, because they already allocated the resources. I feel that I should be 100% as they cant complete the work.Business Response

I signed a contract and paid Web Design Glory $1200 on Tuesday 17 Sept. The business was contracted to provide Wed Design services an a basic SEO plan as part of an effort to improve the user experience for my e-commerce website. When I talked to the sales *** on 14 Sept. I was very clear about what I was looking for and he crafted a package that was supposed to meet my needs. Prior to signing the contract, I again re-iterated that I wanted a review of my website to ensure that the package would meet my needs. On the first call with the ** on 18 Sept. which I thought was just an introductory call, he kept attempting to upsell me on a 2400 package because the contract did not cover all the elements of work needed. I expressed my frustration and initially considered cancelling the contract then and there. However, I agree to continue but again, the ** was not very clear in his communication when asked for direct information. At this point I because increasingly concerned that only two days into signing the contract I was already having issues and had lost trust in the ** and that I would get what I paid for. I sent a termination request on 20 Sept. and a text on 21 Sept. I received no response. I then forwarded the email and sent a text on 9/23 at 1:10pm at which time the ** called but would not accept the termination request or a request for a full refund. The statement of work states We are currently the only company in ******* operating with 30 days money back guarantee with our service and 100% money back guarantee. I have all the emails to support our communications.Business Response

I have filed a complaint with ******, and will be submitting a formal complaint with the ***, *********************** as instructed by the ********** This company was hired to design two websites for us, hired on 12-5-23. Paid in full, on that date, a total of $900, USD. They refuse to relinquish the passwords/back end credentials to us to allow us access to our own sites (we own the domains) until, and unless, we sign a non disclosure agreement. There are other agreed upon terms that they did not complete, but we are seeking to just be done with them. It is our hope to receive access to our sites so that we may move on, and completely sever ties with this company, OR to receive a full refund as they did not deliver most of what they promised. This has been a long and frustrating 10 months and we did not receive what we hired them for. I have attached two documents: a certified letter I sent to the company, delivered 9-3-24, this holds a great amount of info of what the issues are, as well as what we expect going forward. As well as the complaint to the *** outlining. I tried to copy that here, but not enough room. I have also included an image of the receipts for certified letter (one was returned), this letter was received by the company on 9-3-24. I have not heard from them since 8-16-24. Desired settlement, below, was copied from the certified letter that I sent Web Design Glory. Thank you.Business Response

Catherine Mayor and her son Dylan hired Web Design Glory on December 5th, 2024, to design two websites. The project initially progressed under Project Manager Jason Cole, but after communication difficulties, Jack was assigned as the new project manager. The team consistently met revision requests and maintained daily communication, though the project experienced delays, often due to Dylan's inactivity. Despite extending the project well beyond its typical timeline, the company ensured the websites were successfully launched on the client’s domain.
Although Web Design Glory completed all tasks and accommodated additional requests outside the original scope, Catherine delayed signing the completion agreement, which was required to finalize the project and hand over credentials. After nearly 9 months of work, Catherine unexpectedly filed a complaint against the company, despite Web Design Glory’s efforts to prioritize client satisfaction and extend goodwill throughout the project.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:This company has no intention of resolving this dispute. They are doing the same thing here that they have done to us these last three or four months. They continue to say that they have done everything that they should have done. They are not addressing any of the questions or facts or proposed ideas which can help us to complete and resolve the situation. They also continue to deflect all blame to us, the clients, they have not once taken responsibility for any of their actions, words or deeds.
I sent the company a certified letter which the USPS has confirmed they signed for. I have also addressed my complaints in emails that they have responded to. They are not unaware. I did inform them that I would be formally filing complaints if they did not answer my questions and work on releasing these websites to us. I was warned against using such words and that this would “Only makes things worse”. This is not unexpected, they created it.
A copy of my certified letter was sent to you as well. Within this letter, I lay out terms that are fair and reasonable to help us both find a resolution to complete this transaction, or to refund our money. If you read it and then read their response, you will see they did not address anything within the letter or in any way try to resolve the situation. They don’t care to. They just wish to waste more of our time. They know what they did and how they treated us. They know they breached the original terms, and that there was no such time limit that justifies the actions they took at the end. They also know they never mentioned a requirement of an NDA to complete the transaction.
This NDA is neither legal nor applicable. They did not alert us to the fact that we would need to sign an NDA until the very end. After which they changed the wording to a ‘project completion’ document, Yet, that document itself states it is an NDA. They have no right to censor our voices. They only request this because they know how shoddy and inexperienced their company treated us and performed.Further, they did not complete a few other tasks on our agreed-upon terms. There was no mention of any time frame and though they continue to try to push the delays onto us, they were as guilty if not more.
This Company did not handle our business properly, efficiently or effectively. They have choices to either handover our back end credentials with either a modified NDA or none at all. Or to refund our money. Their statement to you says absolutely nothing and continues to take no responsibility for any of the progress or lack thereof or where we find ourselves now: without access to websites that we paid for and have wasted 10 months on. If they truly wished to resolve this matter, they would address those concerns and provide solutions.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Catherine MayorBusiness Response

Web Design Glory has acted in good faith throughout this project, dedicating far more time and resources than initially agreed upon in an effort to meet the client’s evolving needs. Unfortunately, Ms. Mayor’s refusal to comply with basic contractual obligations—such as signing the completion agreement—has hindered the smooth handover of the project.Customer Answer

Complaint: 22288207
I am rejecting this response because:If the company’s response is accurate, please have them provide any signed or agreed upon contract stating any time limit, limit of revisions or any mention of requiring an NDA to complete the transfer. They will have none, as we did not agree to, nor were we informed about, any of those terms until attempting to finalize and transfer the two sites.
What I sent in my original complaint are the only terms that we have discussed or agreed upon. They include none of these. However, the original terms do include ‘unlimited revisions’ and ‘100% customer satisfaction guarantee’.
There are still other tasks in those agreements as well, but to withhold the release of our back end credentials (passwords) to our websites is borderline, if not, blackmail in exchange for an improper and unnecessary NDA.
I have also requested that they modify the NDA if they would like one signed, as stated in my certified letter to them. They have offered no compromise or any possible solution. They just continue to waste time and blame us.
I have provided the BBB evidence of my written requests to the company, which remain unanswered by them. These would explain my efforts to you and their lack of flexibility, follow through and understanding of their wrongdoing.
This type of interaction with Web Design Glory is typical of how our website building process and attempted finalizations of transfer have been. Time and time again they refuse to admit any wrongdoing despite their contract setting out specific terms that we agreed upon. My son and I wish to stop going back and forth and would like our terms met, as specified in my certified letter, or our money refunded in full.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Catherine MayorBusiness Response

We acknowledge the rebuttal provided by Ms. Catherine Mayor and would like to address the concerns raised.
First, we would like to reiterate that Web Design Glory has acted in good faith throughout this project. We have consistently worked to meet Ms. Mayor’s evolving requirements and have delivered significantly more work than initially agreed upon. However, the completion of the project has been delayed due to the client’s refusal to sign the completion agreement, which includes a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). This NDA is standard practice and is intended to protect both parties, ensuring that proprietary processes and work remain confidential. Ms. Mayor was informed of the need for this document prior to the final handover.
Regarding the claim that we are withholding access to the websites, we have always been ready to provide full access as soon as the project is formally completed through the signing of the NDA. This is a necessary step to ensure that both parties are protected. We have not acted with malice or intent to withhold access unjustly. Instead, we have communicated the need for a legal agreement before the final transfer.
Ms. Mayor mentions “unlimited revisions” and “100% satisfaction,” which were indeed part of our terms. However, we must note that there are reasonable boundaries to revisions, particularly when the scope of the project changes, as has occurred multiple times in this case. Despite the evolving nature of the project, we have continued to accommodate these changes without additional charges.
In response to the request for modifications to the NDA, we are open to negotiating reasonable adjustments. However, the NDA is a critical document for protecting both parties' interests and must remain in place before transferring full credentials.
We are committed to resolving this matter amicably. To move forward, we propose the following options:
NDA Modification: We are willing to review and modify the NDA based on the client’s concerns. We invite Ms. Mayor to propose specific adjustments, and we will work together to find mutually acceptable terms.
Project Completion: Upon signing the mutually agreed-upon NDA, we will immediately provide full access to the websites, ensuring that the client receives what was promised.
Refund Option: If Ms. Mayor prefers, we are open to discussing a partial refund reflecting the completed work, as we have already invested significant time and resources into the project.
We believe that these options provide a fair and reasonable path toward resolution. We hope that Ms. Mayor will consider them so we can bring this matter to a close.
Thank you for your assistance in facilitating this resolution.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:Thank you. Though Web Design Glory still refuses to take any responsibility for ending up here, we are happy to hear they are now open to looking toward solutions.
However, we are not convinced that once the BBB or other agencies, consider this case closed and step away, that any resolutions will be met by this company.
This process has been a perfect example of our dealings with them: wasted time and circular conversations. My emails to WDG, beginning in July through mid August, have outlined the questions, expectations and terms which were not met. They refused to acknowledge or respond. I sent a certified letter to the company in early September, also outlining our expectations, in detail, they did not reply to that either. A copy of this was sent to you. It is titled ‘Web Design Glory Legal’ and shown as an attachment in each of our correspondence with you. I detailed what I was asking for in my emails and my certified letter to them. They tried to say they had no idea of any of this until your contact with them and here we are, another month later… An excerpt of my letter to them is below. If they would like to complete our dealings, I would prefer them to be done with the BBB on board, monitoring until completion.
In response to their latest message:
** A ‘partial’ refund is a joke. This company has not only taken our money, without full completion of our agreed upon terms, they have wasted too much of our time and effort, which has affected both of our businesses and put marketing, sales and work on hold in the interim.
** Modify the NDA and complete all other promises from our original agreement. Great. Let’s do it already. A Project Completion form is totally different than an NDA. And, no, no mention of either was stated until they pushed our sites live and held our back end credentials until we signed such. There was no ‘industry or company secrets’ shared with us. An NDA prohibiting us from speaking publicly about our interactions with the company is simply uncalled for. Provide updated copies of PCA for us to review. Here is an excerpt from emails and certified letter detailing what we expect:
[ Here are what I consider to be reasonable and fair choices for us to settle this going forward:
1)Modify your NDA. I will not sign this as is.
(a)Remove any and all mention of censorship of Dylan or Catherine. There is no legal or valid reason for this.
(b)Add a statement to your signed NDA that assures us that you have removed any and all access points that allow you, or anyone on your behalf, to access our sites, including back doors to our sites, and any and all platforms, such as PayPal, Wordpress, emails, hosting site, third party plugins, or anything at all having to do with our sites, or our persons, from this point onward.
You wish to be held harmless for the work that we paid you for, whether functioning or not.
We wish assurances in privacy and ownership as your firm has not earned our trust.
(c)Fix all technical glitches that remain on sites.
AND
(d)Release to us:
All back end credentials and return full and complete ownership back to us
Provide the promised ‘how to’ tutorials
Remove all access points to our sites and platforms
Provide stationary and branding collaterals
Provide your signed copy of agreed upon & modified NDA
OR:
2) Refund all monies paid, in full. In other words, $900.00 USD in the form of a bank certified check made payable to Catherine B. Mayor. ]
Pretty simple, when you look at it. No reply from them regarding any of this since August until we reached out to you for help. We hope you can understand why we would like to pursue the finalization with a third party to moderate and will stick with us through its completion.
Further, our address has now changed. All correspondence should be addressed to:
1017 Avalon Pines Dr.
Coram, NY 11727
Our emails and phone numbers remain the same.
Thank you, once again,
Catherine B. Mayor

payment to Web design glory made on 08.06.24, in the amount of $330. Deposit made for WEBDesign and logo. Deliverables were not met and I am requesting a full refund. The contract I signed was for logo and web creation which neither of the two have been done. per agreement I accepted it states Refund guaranteed and email from company itself states, refund will be made if they cannot deliver, and they have not delivered. they are claiming 65% of my deposit for development creation when all they did was plug in my suggestions to a mock site (which I got from another similar site) the demo link they provided (which you can't demo anything on) was not my liking and DOES NOT MEET OR EXCEED MY EXPECTATIONS. The terms and conditions I signed and agreed to states refund guaranteed but now they are changing the terms and saying I agreed to different terms. I am attaching, agreement which makes no mention of terms and conditions, email where I am disapproving so called demo link and disputing the outrageous amount they want to keep. This letter addresses the complaint filed by Ms. ******* *********** regarding her project with Web Design Glory (WDG). While we regret the misunderstanding and her dissatisfaction, it is important to clarify the situation and present our perspective based on documented facts.
Allegations of Contract Breach and Misrepresentation

Our offer of a partial refund of $115.00, which represents 35% of the amount paid, was extended as a goodwill gesture, not out of obligation, as her dissatisfaction arose after substantial work had already been completed.
Efforts to Resolve the Issue
Ms. *********** asserts that *** refused to reach an agreement. This is inaccurate. Despite our policy on non-refundable services once development has started, we proactively offered her a partial refund and additional complimentary services as a gesture of goodwill. Ms. *********** declined these offers and instead initiated a chargeback process with her bank, which we believe was both unnecessary and contrary to the documented terms of our agreement.
Website Delivery
Ms. *********** also alleges that we failed to deliver a completed website, which is incorrect. She approved the design on August 23rd, 2024, after which the development was finalized within 72 hours. The website was delivered according to the agreed timeline. Although the website is now under a "coming soon" status with a different company, this does not negate the fact that *** fulfilled its obligations in full.
We also have documented proof that Ms. *********** participated in the review and testing process, including design revisions that were made based on her feedback.
Future Actions and Conclusion
WDG has fully adhered to its contractual and ethical obligations throughout this project. While we respect Ms. ************* decision to move forward with another company, we stand by the quality of our work and its timely delivery. In conclusion, *** remains open to issuing the previously offered partial refund of $115.00, provided Ms. *********** retracts her bank dispute and discontinues any further defamatory claims.
We trust this clarification resolves any misunderstandings, and we are open to resolving this matter fairly and amicably.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
