Irrigation company installed a system in my front yard. The day they showed up there was no markings on the yard of where wires were buried. I asked *** why they didnt do that? He said they told them to come out and I guess they didnt show. I asked *** the guy onsite for the job if we should reschedule. He said no we still can do it. I said I have a septic tank, power, and internet cables running through the yard. I dont think this is a good idea. *** insisted on still doing the job. First, they cut my internet wire but didnt inform us. Two hours later, they cut my septic wires to my house which also connect to my whole neighborhood. I waited this time to see if they were going to let me know and sure enough they did not tell me until right before they left. They told me my internet would be fixed same day. That did not happen. The internet company did not come until 3 days later and only because I had contacted them. I would still be without internet if allgreen tried to get it set up. As for my septic, my neighborhood deals with one company as every houses tank runs together into a field for the whole neighborhood. They chose to bring a company we do not deal with in to fix the job and said they would do a cheap job for repair. I sent them away. I brought in the company my neighborhood uses for all units since we are now responsible for not messing up the septic fields behind our house. So ******* who is in scheduling and payment with Allgreen said ok and to send the invoice once its done. So sure enough I did and I am hearing from the septic company that Allgreen is refusing to pay it. So I am now going to pay the septic company out of my own pocket as I am not trying to give our neighborhood a bad reputation with the company who handles all of our septic tanks. A break down of what is owed:Homeowner owes Allgreen $1800 Allgreen owes homeowner $850 for septic Allgreen owes homeowner or **** still waiting on what that will cost.

    Business Response

    Incident Report April 3-4, 2025: **** ******* Residence
On April 3, 2025, as contracted by *** ******* for a total cost of $1,800, we installed an underground irrigation system at his residence. Upon completion of the installation that day, we performed our standard, thorough inspection to ensure the system was functioning properly. The inspection confirmed that the irrigation system was fully operational and installed as agreed upon in the contract.
As part of our standard procedure, we use a combination of machine trenching and hand digging to install piping. In areas where underground wires are suspected, we take extra care and only dig by hand to a maximum depth of 6 inches.
Despite these precautions, accidents can occur. During installation, one of our crew members unintentionally struck and cut two underground lines with a shovel: the AT&T cable line and an electrical wire connected to the septic system.
Unfortunately, damaging cable lines like AT&Ts is not uncommon. *** ******* was understandably upset after losing internet service. We apologized and immediately contacted AT&T to request a technician. AT&T informed us that only the homeowner could initiate the repair request. We relayed this information to *** ******* and advised him to call AT&T.
Regarding the septic system wire, per county code, this line should have been buried at a depth of at least 18 inches. Given that we dig no more than 6 inches when hand digging, we were surprised to have come into contact with it. Nonetheless, we promptly notified the homeowner and began contacting local electricians in an effort to have the wire repaired the same day. Unfortunately, no electricians were available on short notice.

    Follow-Up April 4, 2025
On April 4, 2025, we successfully hired an electrician and dispatched him to the Cerione residence to repair the damaged septic system wire. However, upon arrival, *** ******* refused to allow the electrician to complete the repair and asked him to leave.
Later that day, we received a call from a different electricianhired independently by *** ***************** payment from us for the repair. We explained that since we had not contracted his services, any payment would need to be arranged directly with *** *******, who had hired him.
    Resolution and Invoice
This was an unfortunate situation, and although we believe we followed proper procedures, we wanted to resolve the matter respectfully and fairly. As a courtesy and to de-escalate *** ********* frustration, we offered to cover the cost of the damages to both lines, despite not being contractually obligated to do so.
The total cost of the irrigation system installation was $1,800. We have agreed to cover the following damages:
    Septic system electrical repair: $850
    AT&T line repair: $200
    Total courtesy credit: $1,050
Remaining balance owed by *** ************************ of today, we have sent the final invoice to *** ******* via text message and certified **** mail. We have not received a response.

    Complaint: 23191259

I am rejecting this response because: Allgreens breakdown:

Septic Repair: $850 - again, this is out of my pocket, not theirs.

AT&T repair: $200 - like I mentioned, this is not an accurate number. The cost was $500.

    Total Credit: $1,050

    Remaining balance owed: $750

However, since we paid the $850 the total for us is already $1600. So essentially, Im getting a $200 discount for this horrific experience. Given that the cost of AT&T was $500, my rebuttal is that I should only owe $450 to cover all of the costs to the damage to my yard since I was not reimbursed the $850.

    Thank you,

    Allie

    Sincerely,

    **** *******
