    I gave a$1000.00 deposit on a car in good intentions of buying the car.Had a lender ready to wire money for the car. Also had insurance. At the very last minute sender refused to wire money. The state of fl where I live stopped all comprehensive insurance due to emergence situations due to the hurricane. So gateway refused to give me back my deposit. I gave the deposit in good faith to buy the car. Gateway had no sympathy at all about the situation. I had no control over the weather or insurance company. Thank you.

    The company acknowledges that it was contacted by the consumer and reviewed his submitted request. After investigating, we would like to point out the following:

    Upon being contacted it was communicated by the consumer they desired to proceed but were unable based on the a few issues that had emerged from their lender. The company accessed these presented issues and provided solutions to the consumer so they could reach their desired outcome of proceeding forward with the purchase.

    It was communicated that we cannot speak for his lender but are aware of other lenders operating in the state of ******* who continue to process deals or complete transactions. Were happy to share the contact information for these institutes with the customer upon request.  As for the insurance, we have provided the customer with multiple sources who would complete his insurance request. These suggested providers are classic car specialists and provide some of the friendliest rates in the business comparatively. We provided multiple sources, which would allow the customer to perform their due diligence and select the best fit for them.

    Why we do agree that nobody has control over the weather, them or us. The company made sure we have gone the extra mile attempting to assist this customer and provide resolutions to their issue. At this time, were unsure why the customer has chosen to forgo applying these solutions provided. If the customer changes their mind and wishes to proceed with pursuing this vehicle, we request them to contact us so we can discuss the details of completing this transaction.
