In June 2023, I went to ******************** of Dynamic Information Technology based in ***********************************************************. (*******************)for help with my daughters immigration process on recommendation by a colleague who told me the charge would be $1,000 but upon consulting with *********** he charged me $ ***** which I didnt object to. I went there with my daughter and partner and he gave us a list of what documents to provide and we left with the hope of going back when ready. The plan was that by the time the process is done I would pay him in installments but we didnt sign any paperwork, it was all verbal, so I leave and get a call from him a few days later asking for a down payment towards the ***** and I said but we havent given you any paperwork or signed anything yet but he insisted on getting the money before he starts so I sent him $500 via CashApp. (Prove available if required)Somewhere down the line my daughter decided she wasnt interested in going through with the process; so I called *********** and explained we werent going to need his services and I would like a refund of half the money and let him keep $250 for consultation. (Which I later found out was $120 by calling anonymously) I contact *********** several times and we were going back and forth till November 7th 2023 when he finally told me in his words It doesnt work like that! Let me tell you, you wont get a single cent from me! and boosted nobody can make him pay.The reason Im filing this complaint besides trying to get my money back is because *********** deals with lots vulnerable immigrants trying to legalize their status who might be too afraid to hold him accountable and was confident that nobody can audit him. So I want to prevent this from happening and dispel any thoughts in his mind that hes above the law.In summary I would like *********** to refund me the sum of $380 and keep $120 as consultation fee (even though he didnt mention it when we sat with him).
