I took my 2013 Audi A4 Quattro to Image to get the windows tinted on 04/03/23 and I walked away with over $1000 in water damage to the factory radio amp located in a compartment in the trunk. As soon as I picked up the car the speakers were nothing but static and a electrical burning smell filled the car by the time I got home. Since I had just purchased the car 5 days prior, I spent all night troubleshooting and researching online. Out of desperation I googled, *********** broke after getting windows tinted" and that led me to the amp. It was soak and wet with something other than just water. I spent an entire day soaking the exterior of my car with water and opening the trunk with the car while it was wet to make sure it wasn't from rain. I reached out to the owner several times asking for even a partial refund and received nothing but responses claiming it wasn't their fault. I sent pictures, offered to go by in person so they could see it, and offered to let them spray the interior back window again to prove that's where the water came from but they did not accept my offer. I later found out they use water and baby shampoo to spray on the interior windows, which is I now know was what was on all the cables. I removed the amp and placed paper towels down then sprayed the interior back window with water myself and then sent pictures of the wet paper towels to prove that was where the water came from. I sent all the online articles I found related to similar issues with the exact same car and those emails went unanswered. I went so far as to calling another auto tint business and asked them about it and they knew exactly what I was talking about with that model car. I believe I have went the extra mile in trying to prove to them that this was a result of the windows tint but all I got in return was "your windows are faulty".
