I was sold a 20** ********* *** ******* March 9,2025 in which i paid $4,900 including taxes ,title, and fees. It took over 30 days of me running the business down to get my tag for my car. As well as the car was sold to me with underlying mechanical and electrical issues. The car was put into ********* of ****** ***** and the repairs are costing $14,000 roughly. The owner that sold me the vehicle implied that there were repairs made to the car prior to me buying in which they were not done at all. I kept in constant communication with the owner and she has ignored me reaching out to her, also she has not issued my title to my car. I have been sold a lemon and im outting more into the car itself than it is actually worth. She stated that the auction was at fault for not taking the “kill switch” off the car which alone is $345. She had refused to contact me back. I have filed a bad customer review as well. She stated she would reimburse me for the $100 putting the starter into the car which did not fix the issue as well as the $345 ********* charged to take off the “kill switch” that was supposed to be removed from the car prior to buying the vehicle. She has ignored my concerns and pushed them aside.

Before I got the car it was said to be in good condition with no problems, well the headlight don’t work the windshield wipers don’t work, the car keep shutting off and not turning bck on, it need a catalytic converter, and more stuff that cost, new tires and none of this was mentioned, they most likely cleared the codes before they gave me the car so I wouldn’t notice nothing, because they lied about getting a tune up on it, they are unprofessional and I would not recommend them, because they will take your money and give you trash and they are no help and will stop responding, I have to spend over 6000 just to get all this stuff fixed, and I don’t have that kind of money and I wanted to return the car but he basically said I couldn’t.

65 days ago, my husband and I purchased a car from Unique Riders Auto Sales. The car was advertised on ******** *********** with the title, but when we purchased the vehicle *****, we were not given the title. We went to the tag and title office ***** to check our plate's progress, but were told that they had not received anything from URAS. So we got our temp plate extended to *****. We followed up in person at URAS *****, before 30 days since *****, but they claimed they had not received the title in the mail. URAS made excuses but promised to call us when they got our title but didn't. *****, we called within their business hours- they did not pick up. We tried to leave a voicemail; their inbox was full. *****, when we followed up once again in person, we were forced to wait over 40 minutes for the owners to even arrive. After asking about the title, they claimed they sent the title to the *****, and not the t&t office as we requested. When we (again) asked for the title, they admitted that the guy who had it was 10 minutes away, and would deliver it to us in person.

We had the title so we went to the tag and title office to get our plate, and we were slapped with about $220 in late fees, due to the failure of URAS to transfer the title. We could not afford it.

    The excuses given:
-the hurricane held everything up *****, almost a month after the hurricane was over
-one URAS employee "just got back from maternity leave" *****- used the same excuse ***** when we followed up this most recent time
-the sister was "new to the whole business thing" and must have just missed it *****

There was the issue of the ad saying that the car had no mechanical problems, but we've had to replace tires, battery, reattach the exhaust line (they said it was just a noisy muffler- it was actually pumping exhaust into the cab and making us have migraines and me lose consciousness, while being 5-6 months pregnant), and we still have to replace the O2 sensor. All this in 2 months.

On 9/12/24, I paid $5800 for a 2016 **** ******. That was to include taxes, title, and tag. They assured me that everything would be mailed to me. After two weeks I called them asking about my title. They said they had it and would mail it Monday. However they stopped answering my call or responding to any messages. I still have no received my title or any information regarding it. They also did not pay tag taxes they agreed to.

Unfortunately, we were impacted by Hurricane Helene on **********, we had no power, water, internet and phone service was very limited depending what area we were in it didn't work.  We did advise the consumer we would mail it out but the mail was not up and running either.  We met with the consumer on **********, provided him with the title.  We did not expect the impact of Helene to have an effect to our area like it did.  We are still recovering with limited services.  At the initial time, the gas supply was nonexistent to be able to go anywhere at that time either.
