I’ve never in my life experienced such unprofessional behavior. My grandson often frequented this rink. My family and I went with him one day to skate. I didn’t get any skates due to the unsanitary condition of the skates. I instead purchased a drink and sat down to watch my baby skate. As I’m watching this young guy comes with a bag and started throwing away everyone’s recent purchased items. I caught him before he touched my drink and I said, “Don’t touch me drink”. He said he was cleaning up and proceeded to reach for my drink. I was staring to get heated when my brother interrupted and diffused the situation. I was done and vowed never to enter this place again. However my grandson continued to go. Recently my son in law passed away. My grandson and his cousins wanted to go skating after bury his Dad. Several of his cousins were already in and several were in line waiting to get in. He proceeded to get in line with his cousin when the police officer told him that he wasn’t letting him in because he was skipping in line. My grandson tried to explain but the police officer wasn’t hearing any of it. My grandson requested to see the manager who he knew would vouch for him since he spent so much time and money there. But no, she was even more rude and disrespectful to him and told him to go home and come back tomorrow. I’m so thankful that my grandchild had enough since to understand how easily that could have went the wrong way. The way they talked to him was awful and cruel considering what he was dealing with. The officer and the manager both knew he had just buried his dad only hours earlier. To me the non compassionate tone that was used on this child was uncalled for. I’m so grateful my baby is alive and managed to avoid any further conflict. Please do not continue to send your kids here and spend your hard earned money at an establishment that is really hates you but loves your money.

My rate for a one is that they my children had a good time up until her shoes was given away and they tried to give my daughter someone else's shoes and the owner and operator never returned my phone call and she left the premises barefooted while it was raining and very cold with the temperature of 49° degrees in Augusta, Ga i have tried calling the same night of the incident, left a message for them to call me and texted and i have not heard anything back from anyone.

    Good afternoon,
Skateland’s response to the lady and her daughter’s lost shoes.
Skateland of Augusta’s admission cost includes a pair of house rental skates. When the young lady entered the skate center, she received a pair of skates and gave the skate room her shoes. The shoes were placed in the cubby that has a size and a number on it that in turn matches a size and number written on the back of the house rental skates the young lady received. When she returns her skates, she will receive the shoes that are in the cubby that matches the back of the skates she will hand the skate room attendant.
When she was ready to leave, she returned the rental skates. She told the attendant that the shoes in the cubby that matches the back of her skates are not hers. She then described the shoes to the attendant. They were black “bubble” shoes. There is one pair of black bubble shoes in the size she indicates. She takes them. Did she take off her skates and trade with someone else?
This is when another person tells her, those are not her shoes. Since these are the only black “bubble” shoes in her size, the shoes are hers. The parent and the child wait until the end of the session when everyone is gone and only one pair of shoes remain, the black “bubble” shoes.
The parent refuses to take the shoes. The off-duty policeman suggests she take the shoes or carry the child to the car. She does neither. The parent made the child walk to the car in the rain. She did not even pull the car up to the front of the building.
    The shoes are still here.
