  I purchased a vehicle based on an online ad. I was told it was still available and that the vehicle was in *******, **. The seller was going to ship it through **************************************************** I did research and looked at their website. All looks legitimate. I wired the money, received a Bill of Lading, Invoice and Contract. All still looks legitimate. However, I did not receive the vehicle within the timeframe I was told. I contacted *** Trucking and was told that the truck had mechanical problems and that I would have the vehicle on 04/22. On 04/24 I sent an email to both the seller and *** Trucking. I have not heard anything back. There was another company listed on the documents. I contacted them. They said they did not do business with *** Trucking and determined it was a scam. I contacted my bank. They filed a complaint with the bank that received the wire transfer. I am not sure what the result will be as the funds were already released. Based on what I am now finding, this appears to be a very elaborate scam.

  We have no relationship with either selling or buying cars through the internet. This is a fraud or scam that has been going on since January this year.  We have reported it this to ****************** and also we have reported it to ******* **** We do not sell or buy cars through the internet.

  I am rejecting this response because:

  If this has been going on since January, it seems to me that if this has been reported to the police and **** that at least the website information I provided should assist them in at least shutting down the website and doing something about the banking/routing information.   I am not sure how they would handle this unless ABC Trucking Logistics (legitimate business) provide them with additional information or if the BBB would do this.  I could respond if I knew a case number/*** file information as well as contacts, which I would assume only the legitimate business would have or know about.  While I understand the situation, I think we all need to play a role in resolving this situation or it will continue to happen to consumers as well as legitimate businesses. 

  If you have other information about the police case file or the *** information, I would appreciate some additional feedback.   I don't think we should let this one go just yet.

  I committed to purchasing a **** Cadillac XLR Convertible for $7,890.00 on 10 March 2023. I was told by the seller, a Ms. ******************* ************************ to send the funds to an escrow company by the name of *************************************************** of ******************************************************************. I was issued an Escrow Contract (#2D6C00) and as a result wired funds as follows:**** name: **** of America Recipient Name: Keinoysha ***** Wire Routing # ********* Checking Acct # ************ Recipient Address: *************************************************************** Once I provided the escrow company a receipt, proving that the funds were wired, the company has gone radio silent. Calls to the company at ************** go to a voicemail box that is full. Their website (www,abctruckingandlogistics.com) will not respond to the tracking number they provided, and no one answers any of the e-mails.I can provide the bill of lading, contract, invoice, and tracking number if you desire them.This feels like I have been taken, paying for a non-existent car with funds that will never be seen again.

  Hello,

  We receive at least ten of these calls a day. This is a complete scam as we have been used under a false identity by an unknown party. We are not all an escrow company. We are a shipping company that deal with customers who buy cars from auctions and ship overseas. We are deeply saddened that someone would use our identity to advertise such a scam to the public. We have a police report  filed with our local department Dekalb County as well as with the *** here in *******. This case is ongoing and we are waiting for the culprit of this scam to be exposed. Our hearts are with any party who was defrauded in this unfortunate fraudulent scheme. This unknown party is in no way associated with *** Trucking & Logistics LLC. We hope this unethical business matter gets resolved soon so that any other future consumers will not get defrauded and we can ultimately free our name from this fraudulent matter.

  I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

  Please thank the company for their thoughtful, prompt response.  I'm sorry as well that their name gets sullied by bad actors as well.
