I had when into the mellow mushroom restaurant and ordered my food. This was the date of January,25 2025. My food took a long time and I jokingly asked for a drink and the cashier rudely responded with you dont anything for free just waiting for your food.Initial Complaint

I received a Mellow Mushroom gift card in the amount of $100. It arrived directly from the company. When I attempted to redeem the card, I discovered that it had never been activated. There is no viable contact information on the company website. I have reached out to our local Mellow Mushroom multiple times in an attempt to reach a resolution. They would not provide me contact information for anyone in their main office who would help. The managers took my information and said they would email someone on my behalf. I have not received a call back with a resolution.Business Response

The company was able to view the $100 gift card internally in our system and it shows a balance of $100, with an activation date of 12/2023. However, when the guest checks the balance online it displays the message "unable to retrieve balance." The gift card should be able to be redeemed at any Mellow Mushroom, however, the guest advised us that they did try to use it but was unable to do so. We have de-activated this card and sent the guest a new one for $125 today, via *** Ground. We also talked to the guest on the phone and relayed this to her and advised her to call us if any further issues arise with the new gift card.

As part of their "Shroom Room" mailing list perks, Mellow Mushroom e-mails a coupon out to members on the anniversary of their joining. This coupon is for a free small pizza with purchase, and should be a relatively straightforward process to redeem. Unfortunately, this coupon seemed to be bugged in their system this year, as attempting to redeem it on their website returned an error stating that it had expired a full week before the date clearly shown on the coupon itself.Figuring that this was just an unfortunate system error, on September 1 I attempted to reach out to Mellow Mushroom via the website issues link on their main website. This attempt to reach them failed to bring a response. I then attempted to resolve the issue with my local store as instructed by the website with "ordering issues", but the local store as expected said they had no control over the online ordering process and did not know why corporate was trying to pin the blame on them. I then resorted to trying to contact them via their social media accounts, leaving replies to their posts and sending direct messages explaining the issue and requesting a method through which I could reach an actual person to get my issue resolved. All of these attempts were also completely ignored, even as those social media accounts continued to post and ignore all but the positive replies on their ********** this point, I am pretty well fed up with how unprofessional and uncaring Mellow Mushroom has been. While the family likes their food, I don't think it's right to give money to a business which clearly doesn't care when things happen to go wrong. Even so, I would like to speak with someone there and find out what is going on and why I am being repeatedly ignored by their team.Initial Complaint

Good evening, my husband and I had a very unpleasant experience at one of the Mellow Mushrooms in ********. Address: ****************************************************** 23113.First off: the waiter was in an extremely foul mood. We felt bad for him because it seemed like he was having a rough night. We tipped him well and left the restaurant. Sadly after we left, there was an issue we had in the parking lot with a very rude customer. They cut us off when trying to exit their parking space and refused to pull back in and allow us to exit, when we had the right of way. Your manager, ****** and an African American employee proceeded to them come outside and tell us we needed to reverse our vehicle and get out of this customers way, when we did nothing wrong and were trying to exit the parking lot. Your manager ****** then proceeded to tell us we are not welcome back at the establishment while the employee cursed us out.To say we are disappointed is an understatement. We have spent a lot of money at Mellow Mushroom. We go often to multiple different locations and for loyal customers to be treated liked ******* when we have done nothing wrong is beyond unacceptable.We except a phone call back from a higher up.We also attempted to call (the manager) ***** and ask her for her last name, and for her higher-*** information, and she hung up on us and refused to give it to us. As a restaurant establishment, your management staff, and your employees are legally bound to give this information out to the customers if they ask. I expect somebody to call me back to rectify the situation. If not, I will continue to go to every higher up that I can find and I will bring this to their attention. Thank you.Initial Complaint

On Wednesday, October 26, 2022, I placed an online order. I arrived curbside to pick up the items purchased. After arriving home, I discovered that I was given the wrong pizza. I called the restaurant at 9:15 pm and informed them that I received the wrong pizza. In addition, I was not in a position to return to the restaurant and I asked for a refund. The gentlemen was understanding and informed me that they dont give refunds, however, I would receive a store credit. I called on Friday, October 28 to redeem my store credit and was informed by the manager that the only way to receive the credit was for me to return the TWO DAY old pizza for them to remake it. I informed the manager that I thought it was disgusting and tacky to ask me to return a TWO DAY OLD pizza. Furthermore, none of this was communicated to me prior. She adamantly refused to honor the store credit which she acknowledged she was made aware of. She stated that her staff should have not told me that. How is it my fault that her staff did not communicate properly to the customer and now Im out $20.00 for an item I purchased and never received?Initial Complaint

July 15th I ordered food online at the ************, ** location. Get back to the hotel, visiting for weekend, noticed my chips and fork was missing. I called the restaurant and spoke with ****, front house manager, at 10:12pm. Told her my chips were missing and I was already back at my hotel. She stated a refund would be credited within 5 to 10 days depending on the bank. Waited 3 weeks and never received the refund. August 5 at 11:30am called and spoke with ****, general manager. Explained everything and gave him my order number, type of card and last 4 digits of card. I was told by Tuesday I should see the refund. It's now August 24th and still havent refund. So I loss money on a salad I couldt eat without a fork and chips I didn't receive
