      Run away will treat you good at first then leave you high and dry with not fixing anything to months of waiting there phone is aways disconnected half fixes which then turns into more maintenance they will raise your rent every year I'm still trying to get out iv been with no ac in with heat index of 110 plus for weeks trees that are falling on cars and roof water main breaks water damage from leaving a tree branch that broke through the roof that was left for 5 months so rain and everything else could flood tha attic a water pipe break that flooded the floors

      First key homes is the worst property management company I have ever dealt with or experienced. 1. During a winter storm, our heat stopped working and it dropped to below 40 degrees in the house. We were without heat for a week and left to get a hotel in which they refused to reimburse us for even though this was covered under "hazardous living conditions" in their own lease.2. We gave them a 50 day notice that we will not be resigning instead of 60 and they chose to charge us over $1000 for this fee. 3. They refused to fix a maintenance request that we filed in November and we moved out at the end of July. The refusal to fix the problem caused a giant moldy wet spot above the main entrance door. First key homes are criminals and should be abolished as a property management company.Their customer service is horrendous and unreachable at times. Everyone who attempts to use First Key Homes should have a lawyer on standby.

      Would not recommend FirstKey Homes.Put in a ticket to ***lace an irrigation controller that came with the house because it was fried. They denied and said it was my responsibility. If the property is in an ***, FirstKey will charge you should you receive a violation, even if the *** is just sending a courtesy notice. They will charge you a monthly convenience fee through their partner company, *****, to manage water and gas utilities for you. You dont have a choice to manage them yourself. They will absolutely try to take your security deposit upon moving out. They have a pre-move out inspection where a *** comes and is supposed to offer suggestions on cleaning/fixing to maximize your refund. The person who came out for me offered no suggestions, and even complimented saying I did a good job taking care of the place. He said I was good and left within 15 minutes. A week or so later, I see the final charges and they charged $421. They did a whole house cleaning when I cleaned that house better than the condition I received it. They charged for HVAC accessories when I told the ***, the filter was new. They charged close to $200 for paint when there absolutely was nowhere near $200 worth of paint to be painted. The pre-move-out inspection is just a front. They will take your money. Not worth it. The communication with this company isnt very good. In my experience, I could not get in contact with my local property manager.The only positive is the help team, when putting in maintenance tickets, were always friendly and tried to be helpful. ***** they just work for a scummy company.

      I moved into this property in Nov 2024 and have had issues ever since. 1st the stove doesnt have a hood as pictured when I signed the lease. I put in a maintenance order in Dec and was told an outside vendor would contact me but it still has yet to be rectified. 2nd the basement has flooded 4 times since moving in. Water pools between this house and the neighbors because the yard has pour drainage. Put in a maintenance request and the solution was to put on new down spouts connected to perforated drain hoses that didnt solve the flooding issue. Each time it has flooded the cellar room developes mold upon drying that I have to kill with tilex. There is currently a tree down in the backyard that I put a request in for 7/24. This is ridiculous because I pay my rent but yet cant get my problems resolved. I just want my service request answered and taken care of in a timely manner. I shouldnt have to wait weeks to months for a resolution. This is not how a company renting homes should operate. Im at my wits end at this point but I will not recommend dealing with this company unless its your very last resort

      I have never delt with such incompetent people in my life. I regret no seeing the red flags from day one. yep, they're ready to take your money and cause you nothing but aggravation!!! The left hand confuses the right hand and then it becomes a gigantic disaster and no one can help you. These people sound as if they never worked in an office and the lies keep coming....After my year is up, I'm out of there never to work with such idiots again!!!! BE ADVISED, YOU ARE MAKING A BIG MISTAKE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

      Horrible experience with this guys I was an excellent tenant for 3 years payment on time not a single issue and the moment we bought a house they took our deposit and pulled 7000 in fees because we terminated the agreement before beware from these clowns.

      FirstKey is very disgraceful and deceptive. If there was a star for zero, I would select. FirstKey will charge you $45.00 for a city, HOA or municipal violation, in which these the city, *** and municipality does not charge. STAY WAY FROM FIRSTKEY. In addition, if you do not give a 60 day notice to leave, Firstkey will charge you a fee depending on the delay, even if it the property move is within FirstKey. Unfortunately, I signed another one -year lease because I delayed my move out notice for about a month, search for a property within Firstkey and other companies. The charge for NOT give notice in this case was over $1020.First key main objective is to generate more income. The positive is that when you put in a legitimate maintenance request they will repair, but it may be up two or more weeks depending upon the issue. But, if they find it was a tenant problem and service come out, they with charge $105 or more.

      Down to the wire is all I can say. I had less than a week to find a new residence. 60 days prior First Key didnt have a lot of addresses available due to high demand. So I originally went with another leasing company. Needless to say my experience with them was HORRIBLE. It was a blessing that FirstKey had addresses to come available within the last week!!! ****** ****** and ***** moved mountains to get me transferred into a new home within an impossible deadline. I travel for work, I was so happy and thankful I was able to get things moved and head back to the hospital for work by the following Monday! I am beyond happy to remain with FirstKey for over 3 years and counting!

      Do not do business with this company, they have predatory business practices. Their non-refundable application fee that can be submitted by multiple applicants with no transparency is a terrible way of doing business. We feel like we were scammed out of over $100 to apply for a home that we were approved for but was no longer available. They try to make amends by letting me know we could apply for another home, but there are none within the same area.People apply for specific homes, not to a property management company. If we did not have a chance to rent the home, we should not have been able to apply and pay an application fee. I am glad we did not get the house, if this is how they do business I can't imagine they would be good property managers.

      Do yourself a favor and avoid first key at all cost. I haven't had air since Saturday in my home. I have made 3 phone calls and one ticket through their maintenance portal.Our unit has been leaking Freon since February. Rather than fixing the unit so it doesn't leak they just keep refilling the freon. This will be the 3rd time we have gone without because they wont fix it properly. They told me they would dispatch to on call tech to come fix it. Either they were never dispatched or they chose not to come. FirstKey says they have 24 hours to respond well, we are coming up on 48 hours today. There was a heat advisory this weekend. I have a toddler, inside temp was up to 87 yesterday.I just found out this was sent to an outside vendor 16 hours ago and I still have not be contacted and the issue has not been resolved. I would be embarrassed if I were first key. This is a vendor you chose to work with.FirstKey doesn't care about you or your family. THAT is WHY WE WON'T BE RENEWING OUR LEASE.
