Within a few days of use, I developed a severe allergic reaction which included itching, burning, redness, and severe discomfort. I had to spend $60 on a specialist visit, $50 on medications in hopes that my symptoms will go away. I am shocked that this product is still allowed on shelves considering how many complaints Ive seen online with the exact same issues. I am requesting reimbursement for the medical diagnosis and medication required due to use of this product. Please do not advertise your products as organic and die free if they contain all sorts of additive that cause medical issues.Business Response

I bought the Honeypot ***** liner thin pads because they were the only ***** liner pads available at Jewel ***** I usually stick to the brands I know but decided to try Honeypot.. bad idea.I noticed the package said added oils but didn't think anything of it. Within SECONDS of putting the pad on I have extreme tingling and irritability in my underwear. It felt icy cold and very irritable. I then immediately took it off and threw the whole package in the garbage. I couldn't believe they are selling products with oils that makes your private area very uncomfortable. It took hours for the irritability to go away. I am seeking a refund if possible or a ***** liner that does not have any essential oils in them! I don't understand how a company creates a product like this. Within doing research i've seen many people have the same complaints. I wish this company would STOP putting essentials oils in pads and tampons!! We just want normal pads and tampons.Business Response

We are sorry to hear of this customer's negative experience with our herbal pads. The pads do provide the cooling, tingling sensation as they described. However, it is meant to provide calming sensation rather than irritating as the customer described. Every person's body is different and while the vast majority of our customers love the sensation there may be some customers who do not prefer it. As such, our *************************** will send you a non-herbal menstrual pads package replacement. They will communicate to you through our customer service email. Be on the lookout for it in the next few days.Customer Answer

I have been using Honey Pot feminine wash since March 2024. The company advertises to be all natural but yet the product contains many harmful chemicals. I have been having an allergic reaction to the wash on my private areas causing extreme discomfort. It took me up until the other day to realize the wash has been causing me issues because I kept being misdiagnosed. Upon researching many women have been experiencing adverse side effects to the honey pot products since the formula change. I am now living in extreme pain and am racking up medical bills to treat the reaction caused by this feminine wash. I would like compensation for my medical costs along with a formal apology from the company. Also, the formula needs to be changed so other women dont experience what I am going through.Business Response

Dear Better Business Bureau Representative and Valued Customer -
We are very sorry to hear of the customer's experience which was reported to be related to use of our Feminine Wash. Honey Pot's feminine wash and its ingredients are vetted internally by our regulatory department and additionally by a 3rd party regulatory agency that reviews product formula's and product formula ingredients against US and ************** regulations to ensure usage levels stated in the regulations are not exceeded. Additionally, our feminine wash products undergo and must pass strict standards for sensitive skin safety testing, microbiological testing, clinical studies with human subjects and other testing such as product/package compatibly, formula stability, etc. The ingredient/formula vetting and testing that Honey Pot performs is above and beyond industry standards and well represents the safety of the product for a majority of customers. It is possible that the consumer in this complaint has an allergy to a specific ingredient(s) in the product as every person is unique in their DNA and as such may react differently to certain ingredients, this in now way reflects the safety of the product but a unique reaction that this customer experienced. Again we are sorry to hear of this customer's experience and as such, we would like to review this customer's medical bills, bills only, not any medical documentation in consideration of reimbursement. Product caused intense and severe burning within seconds of usage. Lasted after product was taken off. I didn't notice that there were 'additives' to this product because I never would've thought someone would put things like mint oil on a product that would be in close contact with delicate skin.Business Response
Date: 10/01/2024
We are very sorry the consumer experienced and unwanted outcome when using our product. The consumer did not specify product but based on the words, mint oil I am assuming the product is The Honey Pot Companys Herbal Menstrual Pads. The ingredients of the Herbal Blend which are intended to provide a cooling effect are listed on the package. A variety of mint oil, cornmint oil is listed in the ingredients on the package. The consumer may have a sensitivity to this ingredient. The product has been tested and has passed strict safety standards for sensitive skin safety testing. It is possible this specific consumer has a sensitivity to mint oils.
