The Grease Monkey location on **********. in *******, **, and the owners of this location, are responsible for the damage done to my vehicle and have the financial responsibility to reimburse the expenses derived from their employees negligence. I am requesting financial reimbursement for the expenses incurred including the repairs done to the vehicle by the ******************* and the rental car expense from Enterprise You will find included a document package showing the receipts for the expenses referenced, as well as invoices for the work done at the Grease Monkey location on Roswell Rd. and an expert opinion stating the oil pan threads were over tightened causing damage to the vehicle and leading to the need for repairs. The first document included shows the first visit to the Roswell Rd. location. A basic oil change was requested and completed on 8/20/21 with no notation of damage to the oil pan or threads. The next document shows the subsequent oil change at the same location, noting thread damage OA (on arrival). This damage was done to the threads during the visit on 8/20/21. From my understanding damage to oil pan threads can be done in multiple ways, but one of the most common is overtightening through the use of power tools. The additional documents show the following visits to the same location, some showing thread damage on arrival and some not.The final invoice, before receipts, shows the expert opinion from the manager at *********** Change in **********, **. The comments on this invoice show damage was done to the oil pan threads through overtightening during previous oil changes, all of which occurred at the Roswell Rd. location. The damage to the threads, and the overtightening, lead to the recommendation for an oil pan replacement.
