    Vertiv: My name is ************************************* and I am the practice administrator for ************************************************ in ********* **. About 2 years ago we were led to believe we were having one of the most high-end computer room air conditioning (CRAC) units being installed in 1 of our 4 offices. This authorized Vertiv installer could not stop bragging about the level of service we would have and that we would never have a problem with this product. We went ahead and paid the premium price tag for this unit and now it is 2 years old, and my biannual HVAC servicing team is telling me the heat exchanger fan motor needs to be replaced. Serial number: *********. They are telling me it will cost $4,500. I attempted to contact the installer and found out they are now out of business and that any warranty we had with them is void. My authorized Vertiv manufacturer is now telling me: Unfortunately, there is little we can do because this equipment has passed our standard warranty, and no additional warranty was sold with the equipment.My problem is not that it is out of warranty, my problem is that this motor went bad in 2 years. I spoke with several other CRAC/HVAC servicing teams are they are telling me that is very strange, and they have never seen a motor go out so quick. They went on to direct me to contacting the manufacturer because clearly, its a manufacturers defect; however, when I contact Vertiv by phone, your team tried to tell me it was a normal thing for lightly loaded systems to have their motors burn out because of heat. I really hope that the guy was confused and not believing that, unless his statement was true which would bring into question Vertivs whole marketing strategy. Im giving Vertiv a chance to make this right, before I put our story out there for social media to pick up. I do not think anyone would want to purchase a unit that would need to have its primary motor replaced in 2 years.
