      On May 1, 2024, we paid The Ivy Institute LLC $15,000 for "College Admissions ************************ for our son, ******. According to the Ivy Institute's policy, this amount is fully refundable if the student is not accepted into the 8 colleges they applied to. Unfortunately, ****** was not accepted into any of the eight colleges.We have been attempting to get the refund since June 2025. In a June 3, 2025 email, ******* from The Ivy Institute stated that the original refund was processed over a month prior, and he reissued it that day, attaching a transaction file. However, this refund never appeared in our account. On June 12, 2025, after not receiving the reissued refund, we sent an email offering to retract our negative review and update it to 5 stars as soon as the refund was processed. ******* then responded with a threatening email, alleging that ******** essays were 100% AI-generated and that he would share these "findings" with our son's remaining colleges, potentially leading to rescinded offers and a "blacklisted" scenario, unless we removed our public review.After receiving this threatening email, my email to ******* was blocked by his domain administrator. We began communicating from an alternate email address. Subsequent emails from ******* acknowledged that he owed us the refund but cited "unexpected financial" issues and a need to wait for a "next round of payments". Most recently, on August 5, 2025, ******* promised to send half the refund this week and the rest early next week.Despite these numerous promises and acknowledgments, we still have not received the $15,000 refund. The company has failed to process the refund in a timely manner and has engaged in threatening and retaliatory communication.Desired Resolution: A full refund of $15,000.
