I have never heard of aldridge pite haan until i received court papers for them. I have tried calling them everyday since I received the court papers to work out a payment plan or a settlement offer and I have yet to get anyone on the line. I have even tried to leave a message with them, and they have never called me back. I would like to take care of this without going to court because I don't want to have to cover court costs like the letter says I am going to have to because I don't have the extra money to do that. I would just like for someone to reach out so I can handle this.Business Response

I've called this ******* **** Haan everyday 3 to 5 times a day for a week and every time I finally speak with someone they tell me that they can't discuss the case and that they will have someone call me back. They're the ones that put a lien on my house from what I'm not sure because no one will discuss this with me or call me back. So frustrating and not sure why they are in business.Business Response

I had a debt incurred in my name by my now deceased husband. I received documents about going to court being sued for the debt. I contacted the office paid $300 and verbally agreed to a payment plan. I was supposed to be sent documents to sign and begin making payments. I tried multiple times to contact the office regarding agreement and never received anything. I contacted the court and they stated I should wait on agreement to make any additional payments. Months later I am now having to take off work and go to court simply because I never received documents virtually or by mail and could not reach them at any point to resolve this. It is ridiculous. If I hadn't filed an answer months ago, they would have just gotten a judgement against me recently and all of this could have been avoided.Business Response

I keep getting Job Alerts from ********** for this company Aldridge Pite, LLP and I have actually applied a few Months ago. I did NOT get the Job which I am totally Qualified for but that is not the issue. The issue is that an Attorney from their Office Aldridge Pite Haan, LLP, acting on behalf of ******************************, P.O. **************************** sent a person to MY HOME to SUE ME with a Summons at my home on March 26, 2026 for a 5 Year Old CLOSED ACCOUNT that I had with a Vendor. This account has been CLOSED for OVER 5 years so what does this Company do? Do they Post FALSE JOBS on INDEED and then Search for Old Accounts for the Applicants that Submit their Resumes and then Sue them for the Money on the Closed ACCOUNT? I don't Owe the Money that they submitted the SUMMONS for a Lawsuit for a Closed Account and I an Not Paying it. I looked up the Attorney that supposedly works for this company and I don't even see her name LISTED???? I took time out of my Work Day to go to the Courthouse to ****** a SUMMONS from ************************, *********** # ****** on March 31, 2025. I have NOT Heard a Word from this person since then. I called the office on March 31, 2025 to Discuss this SUMMONS and NO ONE EVER ANSWERED THE PHONE. I am VERY UPSET because I applied for a JOB posted on ********** from this Company and this is what I get in Return Instead of a JOB????I Mailed My Response back to this **** A. ****** on March 31, 2025 at 12:29 p.m. regarding the Summons that I received and I have the receipt from the ************ The Address that I sent my Response to from the Courthouse is P.O. *****************************. This is Outrageous --Today, I got another Alert from ********** that this same company is hiring for a Remote Job. Please DO NOT Post Jobs like you are hiring and then Look Up Citizens Names for Accounts that you can possibly COLLECT on that Have been Closed for Many Years!!!! What is the meaning of this????? I am rejecting this response because: I have NOT received ANY Correspondence from this Business and when I spoke to an Agent on May 1, 2025 No Arrangements were made on this Closed Account. This is a Closed Account that your business picked up and trying to collect on. I still Remain that I do NOT owe this amount of money for this account to Home Depot. I have NOT received anything in the mail regarding a Reasonable Settlement or Payments for a Reasonable Settlement that is NOT the amount that your company is trying to collect from me on a CLOSED Account that you searched for and found in my name. I don't have Time to go to a Hearing regarding this. I told your Agent that I was willing to resolve this Without going to a Hearing that I do NOT have to take time out of my day and work to attend. Please provide a Reasonable Amount for me to pay on this CLOSED ACCOUNT that is NOT what is listed on the Summons. I do NOT owe Over $2,000.00 and I am adamant about that. Additionally, I have called your Office and NO ONE answered the phone. I was kept on hold for Over 30 Minutes. I don't have time for that and yes --- ********************** Jobs on Indeed and before I applied for the Job -- I never Heard of your company or received ANYTHING regarding this Closed Account. I am still Disputing this Amount because I did NOT spend that.
Sincerely,
****** *****Business Response

I have been trying to set up a payment plan with with Aldridge Pite and Haan for weeks now. The phone just rings without anyone ever answering. When you go to the option to keep your place in line and receive a call back you never do. The one time I was able to get through to a representative two and half weeks ago they just said someone will call me back. I don't fault them at all for the position I put myself in, in terms of my debt. But if you are going to offer payment options on your website and not allow people to do so to get them into a courtroom and pay more is just foul business practices. This is the reason why they have 1.3 stars on their ****** reviews. Only 8 out of 93 reviews are over 3 stars. All I simply want to do is work out a payment plan to payBusiness Response

This office filled bank garnishment in a county that I do not live in and I did not know until it was too late. I was making $100 payments monthly according to the judgement I agreed with them. I only had $1300 left to pay and they stole $3700 from my bank account.Business Response

I received a letter from Aldridge Pite Haan LLP informing me that they had taken my debt from **************. The letter was dated 2/4/25 and had a dispute cutoff of 3/16/25 with account reference ********. My first time seeing the letter was on 3/31/25. I do not feel comfortable making a payment/setting up a payment plan based on the information they are requesting on the website without speaking to someone first. The reviews and BBB complaints regarding this company are exactly the same issues I am running into, and I have requested documents required by the ***** to ensure I am protected as I proceed. See below for details of attempted communication with the company:-4/2/25: Called at 2:25 pm and remained on the line until prompted by an automated system to press 1 to leave a voicemail for a representative or 2 to hold my place in line and the next representative would call me back. I selected 2 and planned to stay on the line until someone picked up. Once I hit 2, the call was ended. I called back again at -4/2/25: Called again with plans to remain on the line without selecting a number and wait for a representative to connect at 4:10 pm and 4:11 pm. If 1 or 2 is not selected, the call does not remain on hold and just goes silent.-4/3/25: Called at 11:19 am and selected 1 to leave a voicemail which I did. I gave my name, phone number, the reference number on the letter, and asked for them to return my call. -4/10/25: Still no correspondence from APH LLP. Called at 3:30 pm because after researching the company, am concerned it could be a scam or using illegal practices. I selected 1 to leave another voicemail, and as the tone went off to record, a woman answered and just said "Hello" (no name, company, or anything to know who she was) and I said "Hello" and she hung up. I sent a message through their portal and requested proper documentation per the ***** right after. No response.Business Response

This is a debt "collector" , but they are refusing to take my money? They are impossible to get ahold of, they will claim to set up a payment plan that never gets followed through. I am being backed into the corner of the court system and they're doing it on purpose, when I'm here with the money ready to pay my debt. This is extremely unethical.Business Response

I was served by **** funding and I was told to contact ******* **** Haan (a law firm) to prevent going to court. The credit card total was $500, but they are wanting me to pay $859. I asked if we could arrange a settlement, but they only offered to knock off $85 and I would have to pay the amount of $774 in 3 payments only. I even offered to set up an arrangement to prevent going to court, but they will not confirm or deny that setting up the arrangement will prevent them from taking me to court. This is my 1st notice. I live in ** and im not sure where they were sending the notices too. I have not received any mail or emails . I was only informed of this matter by the court order. I was told that I have to pay this enormous amount or face going to court. At this point I feel like I am being taken advantage of and this is starting to feel predatory. I do not mind paying the debt. Im just looking for someone to help me mediate this to possibly lower the amount. Again, I have tried working with them, but they are not willing to work with me.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because you only offered to knock off $85 and I would have to pay the full amount of $774 in 3 payments only. I was told if I couldn't make the full payment in 3 payments then I would be responsible for the full $859 and the $85 would be applied to the balance again. All of this under short notice. I am just now finding out that I owe this money after being served court paperwork which is how I knew what address to use. I never received any other notice prior to being served court paperwork. I called you all and talked to multiple representatives to see if theres was any way that you all could work with me to get this paid and I am only being offered the same deal ($774 in 3 payments only) and I let multiple representatives know that the deal was offered is not feasible. With that being said, the credit card limit was only $500.Sincerely,
