    Evident's policy states that it will take up to 3 days to provide a background check, but usually 24 hours. It's been 9 days and after 6 days I emailed them to ask for an update and have not received a response except from an "AI agent" telling me an agent would contact me. This background check is time sensitive. I also called the number provided on this website and the message says Evident doesn't have phone-based customer support because of "data privacy". This is obviously a run-around, they simply don't want to deal with customers and they can get away with it because they are a third-party.

    Three weeks ago, I had paid for a premium subscription with Trusted Housesitters. As a part of the application process, I must submit an ID and Background check through their third-party company, Evident. One of the steps required to complete this process is to upload an image of an acceptable *** I did so. Followed all the guidelines. Unfortunately, the denied accepting my *** Upon several attempts, I reassessed the situation the following day. I attempted once more. Still, it denied the *** Upon attempting this over 20 times, in total, the system processed the required images successfully. The following day, I received an email indicating that the images of my ID were declined once more. I then, reached out to Evident through a customer service form. I received a response from them via email. I replied and explained the situation and issue I was having. They followed up with the same instructions from when I originally attempted. I explained to them that I had ensured that I did, indeed, follow each step ****** carefully. This back and forth has taken place for going on three weeks. Based upon Evident, this process should take up to a business week to complete. Upon sending them more emails, another customer service form, and leaving a voicemail, Evident has been either incredibly slow or non-responsive. I notified Trusted Housesitters about this issue a couple of weeks ago. On their website, there is a place where the customer uploads these images. That section still shows In Process from over two weeks ago when the images were processed successfully. Trusted Housesitters' hands are tied. They have attempted to reach out to Evident. Collectively, we have received no support up to this point to appropriately receive a resolution. Between all of their replies, they provide me with the same explanation, which is not helping solve the issue. This has been nothing but exhausting and disappointing. I have never had an issue like this uploading this same ID elsewhere.

    I paid for a membership to Trusted House Sitters. They use Evident ID for their verification processes. Evident ID requires uploading documents from your phone using a link sent only to your phone. For days I get the same error message that something went wrong, their system isn't working, try again later. On day 3 I contact Evident ID "support" which can only be accessed from their web based form. I get the same "support" emails for all the things to do to problem solve. NONE of these work. Then they tell me if all of the above do nto work, then use another phone.This is UNACCEPTABLE. Either provide reliable means of getting required docucments to be able to utilize the membership I have paid for or pay for my membership or find another tech solution.If tech companies that can't resolve tech issues and then demand everyone have different tech equipment then these companies are technically incompetent AND they discriminate against rural people with landlines only and/or slow or poor internet connections, poorer people that do not upgrade their cell phones every year, people that just do not want to have to buy $1000 phones just to use their services.

    Evident is supposed to provide background checks for ****** local service ads, however, they never actually do their job. Years ago I submitted my forms and It still says pending. It's been nearly two years. I reach out over and over and either don't get a reply or they blow me off saying there is nothing they can do. After all this time and no responses from the company they appear to be scammers.
