      I am filing this complaint on behalf of my sister who is a former resident of ************* Apartments, in *********, **. On March 28, 2024, there was a fire which destroyed my sisters apartment and nearly cost her life. Within 2 hours of the fire totally destroying her property, the leasing office at ****************** attempted to have her sign a new lease, for another apartment at a higher price. She was told by your staff that they could only accommodate her for the weekend at a hotel unless she signed a new lease for another apartment at a higher rate. Which I find absolutely ridiculous considering this situation has uprooted her and her son's life and was not her fault. Traumatized and obviously shaken by this fire which destroyed all of her property and almost killed her/son, I advised my sister not to sign a new lease. My sister is currently homeless in a hotel and looking for an apartment for her and her son. If it were not for my family and friends help she would be out on the streets. This is the most unprofessional management company. As of today, April 9, 2024, my sister still has not received the remainder of her prorated March rent and her April rent check. Shes contacted the Area Manager ********************* several times but has been given her the run around. This is an emergency situation, and a check needs to be cut this week. No one from the corporate office has contacted my sister or made any attempts to check on her wellbeing. We are going on almost two weeks since this fire occurred. I find this highly unprofessional and callous that this company would put profit over the wellbeing of their tenants. She needs her money back as soon as possible.

      I got a email from skyview saying there was a open house and administrative fee would be waived so I replied saying ill be there they emailed me back saying i got to submit a application first and pay the $135 which i thought was fishy i never had to do that for a open house well i submitted the application then they denied me due to a eviction that been on my record from 7 years ago i emailed the manager and even called no reply i feel like they scammed me just wanted extra money i wish i didnt put the application in and how are they being so picky my friends stay over there they have mice and people be shooting its not the best place to live.
