Delta Airlines has once again proven that it can only operate when every variable falls neatly into place. Any disruption seems to put them in a tailspin (no pun intended) and leaves thousands of customers wondering how this airline continues to receive positive ratings.A brief ground stoppage at ******* resulted in hundreds of delayed and cancelled flights. My flight to ********** was delayed several times before being cancelled at 1:20 a.m. Delta the "conveniently" rebooked my on a flight the next morning without any attempt to compensate me for my hotel expense--citing that the cancellation was "weather related". To add injury to insult, my flight the next morning--and three later flights to ********** were "proactively" cancelled due to anticipated weather issues. Now, I'm scheduled to depart at 10:40 p.m., a full 24 hours after my original flight was to leave. While weather was clearly a valid factor at the beginning of this tale, Delta agents have admitted that a limited number of "gate teams" and pilots also contributing to this situation, along with a technical "meltdown" that dramatically reduced their ability to serve customers. Perhaps, Delta needs to focus a little less on making it's ******* hub the "world's busiest airport" and focus a little more on handling adversity--particularly the kind that comes from weather. In the meantime, I'll do my best to avoid flying Delta at all costs. (Side note: The wait time to speak by phone with a SkyMiles representative this morning was 7 hours and 20 minutes.)

My wife became ill, so we cancelled our trip. We didn't see that a new trip, had to be booked within a year or lose it. Our daughter had booked it, so we thought she would be contacted/credited. Long story short, they wouldn't offer us a rebooking fee or allow us to reschedule after the year. Delta kept the entire cost of two tickets, over $635.00. Again, this is because it had been over a year. I checked their recent quarterly earnings. Up 63% from 1 year ago. Also, new AI that took me in circles for 25 minutes after trying to reach customer service the afternoon before. 2.3 hour wait to speak with an agent. Now to Delta, trying to speak with someone in customer service is an act of God, no REALLY!!! I personally, have never left a bad review online, but after losing 100% of the the fare because of a terrible policy, I feel completely taken. It's theft by policy... Everyone I know will hear this story and I hope they tell all their friends as well as all of you reading this here!!! As for Delta, after cutting jobs, customer service and respectful policies of old, you'll see what money over customer care will get you in the future... Such a horrible experience...

Delta Airlines-KLM My morher and I have been in ******* since July 9th and we are currently there today being July 29th Tuesday, and she has yet to find her missing bag. I have called *** on many occasions and also processed a claim for her missing bag. We went back to ************* after speaking to a *** representative who told us that my mothers bag arrived the very next day on July 10th. After hearing this, we went back to the airport to go and get the bag. We got the runaround and went all around the airport to get assistance on the bag. We were mistreated by Nigerian employees there and was told we would have to wait until the flight was cleared before we could go and get the bag. As American citizens, traveling to another international country, I am beyond disappointed at the lack of aid to try and get my moms bag. My mother also is her blood pressure cuff in that bag and has not been able to take her blood pressure since being on this trip. *** of Nigeria hs done absolutely nothing to help us get this bag besides telling us to go up and down an airport and get mistreated by workers. One worker was yelling at my mother. My mother left the airport empty handed! I am frustrated and annoyed with not knowing where my mothers bag is. We have been beyond compliant providing them with receipts, bag tags, etc. This experience has been horrible!

NEVER flying Delta again. Our flight from ******* was delayed by 2 hours, and when we finally landed at ***, we were told our connecting flight to ********, ** had been canceled. We asked to be rebooked to *********** nearby airportand were told we couldnt because its too close to our original destination. Make it make ********* were stuck in *** for two days with no assistance. No hotel voucher. No food stipend. Nothing. Were expected to pay out of pocket for lodging and meals in one of the most expensive cities in the ********** a mother of two young children waiting at home and a working professional, this disruption has caused emotional, financial, and professional stress. Deltas customer service offered no real support or compassion.I switched to Delta thinking they were more reliable than Southwest. Big mistake. Delays happenbut refusing to help customers in crisis is unacceptable. Delta clearly does not value its passengers.

I suffer from anxiety and had my medication, weighted vest and figit accessories along with some food. I was informed by a very rude agent, ******, that I had to check my carry-on. I tried explaining why I didn't want to check the bag, but ****** didn't want to hear it. When I got on the plane, there were about 9 overheads with room for bags. The flight was horrible because I wasn't permitted to take my needed items to calm my anxiety. Delta truly showed how their passenger comfort means nothing.

They downgraded my 1st class seat. The ticketing agent said there was nothing they could and to talk to the gate agent. The gate agent said the flight was booked and there was nothing he could do. Then, before takeoff, a few passengers from economy were upgraded to 1st class. When I told an attendant about my situation, she said I was listening to something that didn't involve me regarding the upgrades. I reported this to Delta and received some 1000 measly points that do nothing and ****** credit that expires in a year. I never want to fly Delta again as this was the third time I've dealt with their unprofessional behavior and their response is to make me use them again.

I am here to raise my voice as an avid customer in regards to the poor performance and lack of on time flight reliability. In my previous 5 trips with delta, spread across various dates and time slots booked, with consideration to weather and other anomalies, I have experienced +2 hour delays on departure, layover, and return. On top of that, unexpected cancellations made by the airline. The delta app performance in depicting flight changes and time of boarding accuracy is flawed and often glitched. I had an instance, and most notable experience was when my wife and I were already boarded and sat in the plane, for hours for a series of unfortunate events to occur. Earlier that day there was 4 hour delay before getting on board. After we boarded, we literally sat in the plane for hours. Waiting for takeoff, I would like to note that we literally had left the gate, for the captain to return to a gate of which at that time was none open, and announce that he had gone over his safety hours legally allowed to work and a replacement was on the way. Waiting for hours for the new pilots to show, the flight attendants announce the flight was cancelled and rebooked for the next day. Prior to the flight cancellation announcement at midnight, yes 12 am, my original flight departure for that day was expected to be at 3:54 pm.

D.E.L.T.A = Doesn't Ever Leave The Airport.(And definitely doesn't care once they strand you.)We paid over $5,000 for 4 Delta flights to ***** -- a dream trip 5 years in the making. Here's what we got:* A connecting flight delayed four times for "mechanical issues"... then CANCELLED 10 hours later once no other flights were available.* A $12 food voucher that didn't even cover one airport meal * A ************* hotel with no shuttle -- apparently it died of mechanical issues too * Back and forth trips hauling luggage to get transportation to said moldy hotel * Another long wait to get Delta to secure a Lyft that didn't fit our luggage or will to live * Two days of our vacation gone * Hundreds of $ lost in nonrefundable hotel, bullet train, and tour deposits * Rebooked on another airline because even Delta didn't trust Delta * Rude flight attendants on the way home yelling at other passengers like it was boot camp * And after 4 weeks of "reviewing our case"? They offered us an insulting $100 voucher. For more Delta.I wouldn't fly Delta again if it were free, came with a foot massage, and personally apologized by skywriting over my house. Canceled my Delta AmEx and booking literally anyone else from now on... except Frontier.According to my extensive, peer-reviewed study conducted across group chats, late-night rants, and passive-aggressive Yelp scrolls, Delta currently boasts a flight fail rate of approximately 80%, with a confidence interval of 0% because literally everyone I know has a story. At this point, I'm convinced Delta is less an airline and more a psychological experiment testing the limits of human patience, circadian rhythm collapse, and the physics of airport rage.

Began in *** to *** with an 45 minute delay in the terminal. Once on the plane, the pilot announced a 45 minute wait on the place before we could take off. 7 minutes before takeoff the pilot announced that 1 customer wanted to get off because he was afraid he'd miss his connection. We went back to the terminal and 10 others decided to deplane causing them to deplane the entire aircraft - wait 30 minutes to refuel and refill the airplane. Because it was evening, by the time we reached ATL, every customer missed their connection. It took Delta 45 minutes to send vouchers for food and hotels. An entire plane was stranded because Delta honored 1 nervous flyer over every other ticket paying customer. Had the issue been medical or family emergency it would be understandable. Who's running this nuthouse?

I am filing a formal complaint regarding my experience with Delta Airlines on June 10, involving Flight DL24 from ******* to ****, ******. I paid $1,300 for a ticket from ************** to ****, but upon arriving at my connecting gate in ************ running from my previous Delta flightI was denied boarding and told by the gate agent, Sorry, you will need to be rerouted on a different flight because the flight is full, even though it was still 30 minutes before departure. I booked this itinerary entirely through Delta and should not have been penalized for a mismanaged connection. My seat should not have been given away when Delta knew I was en route from another Delta flight. This caused a six-hour delay to my travel, and per ********************************* regulations, I am entitled to compensation for involuntary denial of boarding due to overbooking. Despite filing my claim twice, Delta has refused to honor this compensation and only offered ****** SkyMiles, which is unacceptable. To make matters worse, I confirmed with the gate agent that my checked bag would follow my new route, but it remained in ******* and took nine days to reach me. I spent my entire vacationincluding a weddingwithout my belongings and lost my only full day in ****. Delta has not taken accountability for this situation, and I am requesting the compensation I am owed under DOT policy.
