      Thank you for notifying us of Mr. REMOVEDcomplaint.  We appreciate this opportunity to respond.  An investigation revealed that an employee mis-keyed a customer's social security number.  To correct this mistake, LoanMax has removed and blocked Mr. REMOVEDSSN from its records.  Second, LoanMax sent a request to remedy the situation to Clarity (a division of Experian).  Please note, the Fair Credit Reporting Act does not permit the removal of all traces of the credit inquiry, but, this is to Mr. REMOVEDbenefit (meaning, a creditor cannot inquire about a persons credit,and then ask the credit reporting company to remove all traces of that inquiry,as such a process could be used to hide credit inquiries from consumers). With that said, Clarity will not remove the inquiry, but will convert the "hard" inquiry to a "soft" inquiry.  Therefore, Mr. REMOVEDwill still see a LoanMax inquiry if he views his own credit report, however, other third-parties reviewing his credit will not see the inquiry.  Further, the soft inquiry will not affect Mr. REMOVEDcredit. Clarity has informed us that the normal turnaround time for these matters is approximately 15 business days.  REMOVEDhas any further questions or concerns, he can contact the company's Assistant General Counsel, REMOVED, at REMOVED.

      I would like to report the company for not replacing my tags or adhering to help fix the damage that was caused to my vehicle upon them repoing it due to non-payment. I take accountability for being in default with my loan but there should still be a level of respect and professionalism that should be held, and accountability should have been taken in regard to my personal belongings that were missing out of my vehicle which was my license plates, my backseat mats, a tennis bracelet, that was a family heirloom, in addition my bumper was messed up due to them towing my car with a AWD tow truck and when I got my car back in my possession, not only did I have to pay to get my tags I also had to pay for my bumper. I paid them the full amount that was due and they still, didn't honor that my loan be paid off. This is definitely unjust and a violation of my privacy rights due to random people sitting outside my job and my residence like I'm a criminal. By all costs this is unfair and unjust. The business needs to take accountability of the damages that they caused instead of trying to rectify the situation at hand they are just looking for monetary payments and at this point I have sought legal counsel due to this. will provide all relevant documents have been given too my attorney and can be available upon request.

      The company operates in strict compliance with state and federal laws and an investigation proved it committed no wrongdoing. 

                  On July 18, 2023, Ms. REMOVEDborrowed $1833.00. As Ms. REMOVEDstated, she did not submit her payments as agreed and had limited communication with the company. After exhausting all available means of working with her, on March REMOVED, the company repossessed its collateral. On March 25, 2025, Ms. REMOVEDsubmitted the minimum amount needed to redeem the vehicle and refinance her contract. Since then, Ms. REMOVEDhas not submitted a payment and her account is in default status. 

                  Even though towing companies are independent contractors and not employees or agents of the company, the company is a customer-focused lender, and for that reason only uses reputable towing companies, conducts ongoing monitoring of its vendor relationships and takes all complaints seriously.  With that said, the company reached out to the towing company and the representative adamantly denied Ms. REMOVEDclaims.  Clearly, the company is confronted with two very different stories and has no reason not to believe the towing companys statements.

                  In closing, the company operates in strict compliance with state and federal laws and has committed no wrongdoing.  The terms, conditions and cost of the loan were fully explained to Ms. REMOVEDby the company personnel, as well as in the loan documents as requirement by the Federal Truth in Lending Act.  Based on the monthly income and expense information that Ms. REMOVEDentered on her application, the loans scheduled monthly payments were within her ability to repay.  At no time did Ms. REMOVEDindicate that she was confused about the terms of her loans. 

                  Notwithstanding the above, the company is a customer focused business and always tries to work with customers.  With that said, in a good faith effort to resolve this matter, the company has postponed repossession activity and is willing to let Ms. REMOVEDher account for the reduced amount of $500.00 and her signature on a settlement agreement.  REMOVEDis interested, she should go to the office where she obtained her loan to sigh the settlement agreement and submit her final payment on or before November 21, 2025.  REMOVEDneeds additional time to take advantage of this offer, she should contact REMOVED, the companys Assistant General Counsel at REMOVED

      Loan max came and repossessed my vehicle and Ive never had a loan with them before I was told that the previous owner had a loan on the car and defaulted on the loan but the thing is I have a new title, registration and insurance to the vehicle so that means the old title is void They have not yet gave me back my vehicle and is telling me that they cannot disclose any information because my name is not on the loan, now Im stuck without my vehicle and no answers No one needs to shop with loan max they are committing fraudulent activity

      I had got a title loan at loan max .so I called and ask what payoff REMOVEDthey told me what it was so send my ex girlfriend of twelve years to pay it off. So she never did i truly thought it was paid off had no idea she spent money at casino. So they said they been calling me and all kind stuff. But my ex girlfriend kept all phones house and all my social security papers birth certificate.she has all my information and doing damage to all my credit .so she told me she was going to make me lose my truck but I never thought any REMOVEDwhile I went to go pick up my step son in el REMOVEDwe were at motel . My wife saw tow truck taking my truck so I stop him.he said my truck up for repo. So I am in el REMOVEDwith my wife and my step son. I no nobody here am in a strange state with nothing. So I am calling I find out she never paid it . I had no idea I called and they say I can pay it there but then I can't so I have to come back to albuquqerque pay it them go back to El paseo to pick it up pay tow fee.       The company committed no wrongdoing.  On March 28, 2025, Mr. REMOVEDborrowed $1,005.  Thereafter, he never submitted a payment.  Therefore, on September 30, 2025, the company repossessed its collateral.  In a good faith effort to assist Mr. REMOVEDthe company has agreed to settle his account for a reduced amount and his signature on a settlement agreement.  A company representative reached out to Mr. REMOVEDand relayed the offer.  Mr. REMOVEDstated he was back in REMOVEDand would take advantage of the offer on or before October 15, 2025.  REMOVEDdoes not submit the settlement payment and sign the agreement by October 15, 2025, the company will proceed with selling the vehicle in a commercially reasonable manner.

      I am being charged a fee for no insurance when I have insurance. My insurance was renewed. REMOVEDsaid they mailed me a document In April telling me I had to submit renewal. I told her I had alert from post office and would check. She then said oh no, we didnt send you anything. Your insurance was supposed to send us renewal and its their fault. They refuse to correct amount although she said its not my fault. She then said its my responsibility to make sure it was sent. Advised instructions they provide doesnt state each renewal I have to make sure and send. I notified my insurance of lien on car and CPI that is on lien. She said it says 6 month & yearly policies are accepted. So I should know that means I have to send renewal. I asked several times for someone higher and she said there is nobody higher. I told her I have logged into account each month and at no time did it say they needed my insurance again. She said I should know what I need to do and they will not fix the additional charge. I will not be escalated to speak with anyone else. I told her the store manager was rude and would not listen. Said those are the rules too bad. The customer inquiry first said it was my fault I had to send, then they let me know in April, to its your insurance fault they should have sent it since lien is still on car, to its my fault instructions tell you, refused to acknowledge when I log into account to pay it does not say insurance needed. She said she will not remove, it will not be escalated and she was done

      I do agree with correcting fee that was incorrectly charged. I had forwarded email to REMOVEDon 9/08/25 where my insurance stated it was sent on 5/3/25. It was not my fault and again when I log into account it also did not say I needed to submit proof. The manager at the REMOVEDlocation was rude and said those are the rules to bad, you have to pay for it. Very bad customer service. Got sane treatment from the resolution department saying it was my fault and I was paying it. Refused to send it higher for review and hung up on me. Which lead for me to file complaint. I do appreciate it being corrected but I want it to reflect insurance was provided timely.

      .i took it a loan for REMOVEDin REMOVEDat loan max. Got repoed and paid in full to get my car back in December 2024. They never gave me my title and Ive called and complained over 20 times. Paid $2600 cash to pay loan off . First the manner said she gave it to my mom when she paid it off, that wasnt true. Then I called a month later the REMOVEDsaid the manager was not there but it was in my file and he couldnt go in it until she comes in. She never called. Tags went out in May, couldnt renew them then my insurance dropped. Got 3 no insurance tickets from pole lights. State suspended me until I can prove I have insurance on my car. Called back to the office they stopped taking my calls. Months pass I call customer service and complain. They said the area manager would get back to me that was May. Never got a call. I started asking for my title or money back and they stopped answering my calls all together until I made the REMOVEDreview. The manager called said that the state still has it in processing and it wasnt their fault. So thats when I found it they actually sent it off even after Id paid in full 6 months ago. May, I wanted to sell my car to get my daughter a graduation car, I called and told them I need my title now and she said shed check and call me back again. No call again. I called corporate back again, they promised the area manager was going to get me taken care of and if she didnt call by 5pm that day they would be calling. Absolutely no one has called again. This loan has altered my entire life and they took my title. Finally found it from REMOVEDshe forgot to sign something she sent to them and she was doing it and she was sorry she didnt know she forgot to sign. Still now its Sept 2025, I still dont have my title, and now my license is suspended, . Nobody cares or will even call me back. This is so wrong. They breached contract because title was not returned after full payment as guaranteed. Almost a year later

      I went to get a title loan from the company when they denied me due to a fraudulent account made using my social security number. I was indeed a minor at the time, the name associated is not me, and the time of the incident I was indeed a minor, no drivers license, permit, and the account was not in my name but someone else's. I'm responsible tor a debt I didn't create nor concent this business to use my social security number to acquire funds or a contract with this business.

                  The company operates in strict compliance with state and federal laws and has committed no wrongdoing. On August 29, 2025, Ms. REMOVEDborrowed $1,015.00.  At that time, Ms. REMOVEDprovided the company with her Virginia State drivers license, her 2005 REMOVEDFocus for inspection, and the REMOVEDs certificate of title listing her as the registered owner.  With that said, the company has no reason to believe Ms. REMOVEDdid not obtain the loan. Nonetheless, if Ms. REMOVEDwould like to discuss her claims further, she can contact the companys Assistant General Counsel, REMOVEDat REMOVED
