I was able to stop payment and closed this card. While there response was inadequate, I have resolved this and it seems they did not succeed in receiving payment for the charge.

When checking the amount of cash my wife and I had remaining until payday this week, I opened my bank app and the account was overdrawn, but how? While going through the transactions I seen a charge for $24.99 from a NCOURT neither me nor my wife authorized this fee nor were we aware of it or know where it came from.Business response

I was falsely charged $24.99, and I have no reason why. I have no business with any court systems, no finest or tickets. I've not driven a car in over a year. So could someone please tell me how they got my information and what this charge is for?Business response

I accidentally paid my citation twice. The ncourt fee is $24. I paid the citation $338.75 plus $24 fee for or a total of $362.75. However trying to correct a typo error I hit the back button and was charged twice in the amount of $725.50 two citation amounts and two service fees. I was reimbursed for one citation fee ($338.75)but not the duplicate service fee. I was told by the court magistrate that they dont have anything to do with the service fees that ncourt charges. ncourt emailed me and stated I have to contact the court. Im at a standstill of where to go, so I thought I would give the bbb a shot. This is not right to take advantage of my error when I made a mistake by hitting the back button on my phone. ***************************** made a duplicate payment on 12/14/2023 to Allegheny County, **. The County rejected the second payment due to duplication; however, the fee was not refunded.
A refund has been initiated for the $24.00 service fee on 12/15/2023. Please allow **** business days for the credit to show on your credit card statement.Customer response

Wife paid a traffic ticket via Ncourt for ***** with a 5 dollar service charge in October 2022. 13 months later she was notified she did not pay the full amount of the charge, which is now claimed to be 167 and change. Ncourt's own website says a partial payment is not possible. This means additional charges were later added under false pretense.Business response

This payment is associated with a traffic citation payment made by ********************************* that was processed to the Okaloosa County Circuit Court, ** on 10/13/2022. The payment was submitted on 10/11/2022 at 8:31 am with the amount $95.50 and nCourts processing fee of $5.00. Per our records, it appears that cardholder did not interact with a representative from the merchant but entered the payment online instead. Before a payment can be submitted through our online systems, the payer has to agree to our terms agreement and provide information associated with the card being used. Document with transaction details attached shows an exact AVS match for address and postal code. nCourt has provided services in full.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:The initial payment was for, supposedly, the incorrect amount, which was the amount displayed by Ncourt. Ncourts site says partial payments are not accepted, yet 13 months later an additional 67 dollars and another 5 dollar fee was charged. This also resulted in threat of license suspension by local police department, who claimed that payment was only made in part initially. But, as I pointed out, Ncourt does not accept partial payments.

nCourt works as a payment processor for Brewster County Justice of the Peace JP2 and hasn't passed on my payment to the local government. I paid a month ago and am still not eligible to renew my license because of their payment being in limbo. I'm essentially being held hostage with no recourse and have a line of people who say they can't do anything. Meanwhile my entire life is crippled with no reasonable of economical form of transportation. It's extremely unacceptable.Business response

I received a ticket 10/05/23 and have periodically checked the online portal. Twice within the first week and once each week for a month. Each time seeing a message to wait up to 14 from the date of the citation. I had called someone? (She mumbled her name) Via the number on the site and she had given me vague hope of what I could owe and that it could be up soon(This was after waiting 14 days). All of that to say, someone on ncourts end does in fact have the information about the charge, and yet it doesnt appear on my end to pay OR to tell me that it must be answered in person. Even if I cant pay through the ncourt portal, the fact that I cant be given an answer from the portal or a person is poor practice. Id honestly rather not request a day from work so Ive held off waiting for an update. I dont care if I pay in person or online but my options are obfuscated due to poor practice or processing and Id like to know which. Im not concerned with how much, I just want to know the status, if it is being held up by the county, or if Ive been forgotten about. The reason for the ticket will be addressed well before the date I need to appear.Business response

************************* used nCourts services to make a payment for Property tax with Motor Vehicle (item number ********) at the **************************, SD. The payment was submitted on 7/28/2023 with the total court amount being $333.00 and nCourts service fee of $7.83 to cover the cost of payment. ************** appears to be a willing participant.Municipality uses Drivers License and signature as verification for all in person payments via credit card. ************************* MUST present ID before payment which makes this complaint invalid. nCourt has provided its services in full, and the payment should stand.
