On September 2, I purchased a new Chevrolet Silverado **** from this dealership. I paid $45k cash plus trade. When I went to leave the lot, the air conditioner stopped working. They said they didnt have techs available over the holiday weekend and would fix the problem on Tuesday of the following week. Between 9/2 and 9/15, I had more than two dozen conversations with numerous people in sales and service regarding the vehicle. I finally picked the vehicle up on 9/15, brought it home, and two hours later the sales manager called to see if anyone had disclosed to me that the vehicle had previously been in an accident. Despite Georgia law requiring disclosure, no one told us the vehicle had been in an accident at the time of sale or during the two weeks they held it making repairs which were due to a parts issue. They refused to replace with an equivalent vehicle at the same price and instead offered to sell us a vehicle for 7k more. We ultimately returned the truck on 9/29. We requested interest on our payment which was held for nearly one month as well as compensation for the hours spent at the dealership and remotely with their staff. They refused. Their dealings with us were unethical and illegal and they should be held accountable. The preferred solution would have been for them to honor the sales agreement and replace the damaged vehicle with a new vehicle as described at time of purchase. Alternately we should have received compensation for their holding of our payment and compensation for our time.
