1 starHolidays Lounge (a Travel Agency) ****************************************** misrepresented themselves during a "Timeshare Style" presentation in July 2023. They misrepresented themselves as being owned because of a merger between ******** ****** ***** and ******** *************. They made the 2 hour presentation seem as if "Holidays Lounge" was the official vacation club program of ******** ****** ***** and ******** *************. We were sold a "5 year membership" for approximately $3,399.00 which included $499 administrative costs. Please be advised that Holidays Lounge is not representing themselves correctly as only being one of the many travel agencies involved with ******** ****** ***** & ******** *************, but rather they are representing themselves as being owned by ******** ****** ***** & ******** ************* company. The contract signed is a very expensive membership access to the ******** World product and to ******** ****** ***** VIP product, however, you do not learn about their true relationship to both ******** and ******** until you call ******** and Interval. Some of this is buried in the contract, but the presentation is a largely based around misrepresentation of what Holidays Lounge is.Review fromLesly sol P

1 starI am writing to report this company and help me so that they do not steal my money anymore. In October 2021, the company painted me as if it was going to travel the world and the truth was they convinced me to join a vacation plan that since I started it buy I have never been able to use a single trip because the dates are not available nor are the destinations in January of this year call to cancel since I have been paying my money for more than 1 year and after a few days they tell me that if I cancel but what I must continue paying, how is it possible that I should continue throwing away my money for a service that they have not provided me? In addition, one of the cancellation policies according to them is that not finding available dates is not a reason for cancellation, it is a total robbery. I am a single mother with 3 children and I do not think it is fair that I continue voting for my money and they also threaten me with damaging my credit I have cared so much please I need help with this robbery. Large companies believe that because they are large they can come to rob people based on deception and threats, since I have not been able to enjoy everything they promised me. 1 starOn my birthday, June 18, 2021, in Miami, I was on a boat cruise with my wife when we learned we had won a raffle. We met with someone at the end of the cruise who talked to us about our possibilities and stated that we would need to attend a 2-hour presentation before we could take advantage of the offer. A few days or so later, we went to the presentation, which turned out to be a 4-hour sales pitch designed to sell us a dream.
At first, everything seemed too nice, but three days later, after returning home and doing some investigation on the company and all of its assertions, we recognized it’s not a worth membership program and is basically a fraud company. Despite this, we kept the membership because we had already made a sizable upfront payment and thought we would use it to some extent. As the years passed, my life sadly took a toll, and I no longer live with my wife, who has left the country. We also considered leaving this membership in our will and giving it to our children, but at this point, it is all but a dream in my life.
We recently made the decision to split up, thus I don't see a future where I could continue to own and use this in any significant capacity. I have been paying for my membership all by myself up until this month, but I no longer want to. Because of this, I contacted the collection's co-manager Marcos De Jess to terminate the membership. I have repeatedly asked him to accept the cancellation request and begged him to comprehend the circumstance. I don't believe that this was done with consumers' best interests in mind. I received no information regarding contract cancellation or termination when the initial contract was signed. In the frenzy of the four-hour presentation and the 100 locations where they asked for our signatures, we might have signed somewhere neither of us knew about. I am adamant that the membership should end. Please assist!Review fromMo L

1 starI participated in presentation hosted by Holiday Lounge in Sunny Isle Miami on Sunday March 26th 2023. The presentation, as part of required travel package, was over 3 hours (contract stated only 2) and the presentation representative was condescending. Buyers beware.Review fromArmelle S

1 starOn February 28th, I emailed Cleevens ******, See exact email below.
Good morning Cleevens,
I hope all is well with you.a
As per our conversation, please do send this to your manager so I can get my refund.
The reason for this email is because I would like to cancel my membership with the holiday lounge. I would like a refund for all the amount i paid this far. Service was not rendered so I will need to be refunded the following .
1. November 9: $1779 initial Payment
2. December 1: $217.78 monthly
3. January 1: $217.78 Monthly
4. February 1: 217.78 Monthly
The membership advertises something they don't offer.
1. I was told they would not ruin my credit and they did not even take my social security number then in January they checked it and added it as a personal loan under the name of "Monterey Financial Servi".
2. You guys advertise 4 stars hotel. I am trying to book a trip and it is only 2 stars . The hotels are old and ugly. I have tried several destinations , but all the hotels are old and 2 star hotels.
3. The information they give me is not the same when I try to book.
4. There is no real discount.
Please refund me all my money. Thank you!
As of Today April 4th , no one has reach out to me . I have no update , Asper ******, it was only supposed to take 2 weeks for them to get back to me.
I just want this to be over so i can move on.Review fromJennifer C

1 starI am very disappointed in this program. I have been a member since July 2022 and haven’t been able to utilize any of the “benefits” yet. I feel I was sold this (vacation club) under false pretense. I really was excited about the last call feature the way it was SOLD to me. Thinking I could get a bang for my buck with this but it is NOT the case. Is it not difference in price from ******* or *********** etc. Not including extra fees that have to be paid to even be able to book. Iv had this membership since July 2022 and till this day I still use ******* to book my vacations because the deals are way better than this membership. I would like to just be done with the whole thing I don’t want a refund I just want to get my membership canceled at this point. Membership # ***** ******.Review fromMaria C

1 starSunset Holiday Lounge has mastered hiding from everyone, we cannot figure out whom to complain to because it is almost impossible to find out who is responsible for this conniving company. So, now we are going to just join the BBB bandwagon and cross our fingers that they even respond. Our exposure to the sham was via a Bridal Expo, where my Fiancé and I were sucked in by the words “free trip”. We ended up on a high-pressure sales presentation, where they rotated salespeople in and out over 5 hours. They kept coming back with lower and lower price points, then threw in another “free week vacation”. We were told multiple times this is not a timeshare, it is 100% a timeshare, and we have the astronomical bills to prove it. Over 300 minutes of listening to “deals”, landed us 15 minutes with a questionable “loan officer”. Before being escorted into their office, we were told that we were going to get asked a series of questions about how the saleswomen treated us and if they went over with us key details such as the loan. We were warned we had to answer in the affirmative, otherwise, it would make the meeting drag and it would take longer (aka we were instructed). At the signing, we were told that the entire closing would be video recorded. The loan officer then starts moving us through the signing at breakneck speed. We were told to sign here…initial there! We had no room to ask questions and any hesitance was met with annoyance. What they ended up doing was not disclosing the interest rate on the down payment, which is flabbergasting. When we got home and went back to review the contract, we also noted that the contract was half in English and half in Spanish which became confusing, and now we are wondering why that happened at all. This was also when I discovered we had 3 days to cancel our membership which was not told to us even when we had asked, had we been notified about it, we absolutely would have canceled. None of this should be legal and probably isn’t.Review fromKristine B

1 starThe entire process has changed, along with the website redesign. We purchased our membership several years ago and had very good experiences until the big change over this fall. Now no one answers emails or phone calls. The website is awful and winds up with error codes on many of the pages. The $350 deal (which used to be $299 when we signed up) doesn't even exist any more. It's cheaper to go on *********** or ****** and find the very same hotels/condos for the same prices. We want out.Review fromDiarlys L

1 starBe careful, do not trust this company neither their workers. Everything they say is a lie. It will be your nightmare. They only collect money from u and when you want to book, there is no availability or the hotels are very low category. The sell you 4 5 stars hotel , but you will never have access to those.Review fromLatrisha C

1 starWorst purchase ever great presentation and pitch. Run Run Run fast if you are thinking about signing up. Been members since 2019 platinum is about $250 month our principle was 12k currently only a little over 1500 has been applied to principle with a total about 10k in payments. What sold us is no blackout dates. The biggest lie ever told. We have paid every single month on time and our credit score was about 715 when we signed up so we didn't receive a horrible interest rate due to credit score. Don't forget this point we have not used this for one trip since being a member. We even booked one trip a year ahead of time and they called and said due to demand for resort we are unable to fulfill your reservation this was about 1 month before our scheduled trip. They say you have to book 45-365days in advance for a trip in the contract. If you go to presentation highly recommend don't sign it take it to an attorney for review for about 250-500 bucks will save u a headache and a ton of money. The free stuff they offer like basketball games are valid and only thing my family did get to use from this horrible experience we are still paying for. -1 star for sure Wish we weren't so dumb and soon as it said only three days to cancel we should have walked away with only the free stuff. They don't give u access to anything for the first couple of days intentionally like it's a malfunction with the system but by day 5 we tried to cancel and been screwed ever since.
