My family and I have been loyal Toyota customers since 2000. My mothers first vehicle was a 2001 Toyota Corolla LE. Several years later, my mother purchased a 2014 Corolla LE and passed down her 2001 Corolla to me. In 2016, I was able to purchase my first vehicle and the vehicle of my dreams, a 2016 Tundra SR5 Double Cab. Not only was it my first time owning my own vehicle, it was also my first time in a pick-up truck, which was an otherworldly experience for me. I put about *******, stress-free and minimal maintenance miles on that beautiful truck before I traded it in for a 2022 Corolla. Later last year, my stepfather purchased a new Camry. I had the opportunity to return to ******* from ******* in December, and I needed to get back into a pickup again, so I headed to Autonation Toyota to trade in my 2022 Corolla. Mind you, all of these vehicles (apart from my mothers 2001 Corolla) were purchased at Autonation Toyota in Winter Park, so we had established good rapport with this location. I went back to Autonation Toyota in December 2023 and traded in my 2022 Corolla for a 2022 Tundra, and this is where I felt extremely betrayed by Autonation. The finance department forced me to sign a contract, an illegal contract, as I was under extreme psychological and financial duress. I was forced to finance my 2022 Tundra at a 19% interest rate, which is illegal in ******* as it violates ******** usury laws. I also felt as if I were being held ****** to pay for a *************** Contract, which I repeatedly told the finance manager that I DID NOT WANT. How could Autonation betray me and my family like this? I was so frustrated and upset at how I was treated that I had to write to you guys to see what can be done to remedy this injustice. I am tempted to seek legal counsel, but I wanted to reach out to you first. Dont let Autonation Toyota Winter Park get away with destroying my financial future at 19% for 72 months. Its pure evil. Bought my truck in 2020, along with the extended warranty. Fast forward to 1/3/2024, my check engine light came on. daughter brought it to the shop and was told it was a bad mixture of fuel and air in cylinder #5. They did the work and we got the truck back about 3 weeks later. It was running horribly! I brought it in to find out what was wrong. After 6 hours of waiting, I was told it was bad gas. They removed the bad gasand said it was fine. It wasnt! Still running very rough, mpg going down down down! Loud on shut off! Just not right! Daughter brought it back again and was told, Its only running rough because you have the A/C on! NO! Its not right!! She brought it back a THIRD time, only to be told nothing is wrong! So, I called Toyota and they gave me a case number and said someone would be returning my call. Crickets! I called back each day for a couple of days and was finally told to get a second opinion from another shop. Daughter brought the truck to Toyota of *******.they found the problem. AUTONATION WP put the motor back into the truck, but DID NOT secure it onto the motor mounts!! Being that I was afraid to drive it without the motor being secured, AND AUTONATION WP had THREE extra opportunities to repair the truck properly, and DIDNT, I had Toyota of ******* put it together. It cost me over $2,000 to have this work done. AUTONATION WP has admitted they made a mistake, but doesnt want to reimburse me for what I spent to fix it. Service manager said I shouldve brought it to them to fix! I DID!! THREE TIMES!! They couldnt even figure out what was wrong! I have lost my trust in this service department! How do you NOT secure an engine??? Am I wrong on this?? at AutoNation Toyota Winter Park.
