unfortunately I had a big problem with lawyer Tanya W**** and her assistants, her office has no responsibility or respect for the client. With great difficulty and borrowed money, I had to hire a lawyer to defend myself against an alimony situation. I had at her office twice, one was last year rwhen I hired her, I answered some questions, I stayed there for approximately 10 minutes, she told me she would call me and send me a questionnaire and we would discuss more about my case, she never called me and never I received nothing. The other time was this year to pick up and take a document to be notarized, there was no one in the office to notarize it, even this document had already passed the deadline to be filed, she asked me to try to go to court and file it myself, but as I had a lawyer I had to bring the document back, they managed to resolve it. We met twice for hearings, always 15 minutes before it took place, she started to ask me about my case, opened the computer and started to see the movement of my case, she hadn’t any idea about it, she was always unprepared, she never knew anything about my case. They forgot several times to respond to important documents relating to my case. At the hearing on 01/06/2023, lawyer Tanya W**** asked me to lie under the oath, as she had forgotten to file documents, (the document I referred before), she wanted me to say I did not have $100 to pay a court costs. but they knew it my case at Orange County Court is free. She never asked me anything, she just told me, not to worry and she would sort it out. In fact, what she did was harm me even more with her incompetence and lack of professionalism, I spent $3,300.00 that I didn't have it and my situation is even worse than when I was alone without a lawyer. I never authorized her to do what was done at the last hearing on 07/08/2023 because we never discussed my case, there were several calls and emails with no response. If you look closely at my case, there were 5 documents sent by her, 2 hearings. The agreement would be for her to end with the amount that was paid, I should have removed her from my process a long time ago, as she had several opportunities to negotiate with the other party but never did so, I tried to negotiate myself but since I already had a lawyer I couldn't have done what I did, we had an argument, I asked for my money back, because until that moment she hadn't done anything, she managed to convince me. A few days ago, 09/29/2023, I received an email from this incompetent lawyer informing me that if I didn't pay her another $4,200.00, she would stop my defense. I can't understand how people like that can sleep at night. I would like at least part of my money back, as I am still paying this debt, also for this lawyer and her office to be punished, as they do not have the competence to defend or respond to legal proceedings. I just received a Motion for leave to withdraw with the client Consent, I never sign anything. I would like to make it very clear that I was never informed before that I would be charged anything extra, as in reality she never did anything for the $3,300.0 that was paid. Thanks
