Byte tag doesnt scan. The company claim this is due to Apple hardware/ software and take no responsibility for incompatibility even though they sent me a link to an article written in ******* initial request was for a refund as I couldnt get the tag to work with any device and couldnt take the risk of my dog being lost and someone not being able to retrieve my contact information.Business Response

I purchased Beach Silicone Byte Tag for dog on June 19th. I have not received it. I was charged 17 dollars on June 20th. I reached out to customer service multiple times with no reply, my next e-mail will be about demanding a refund.Customer Answer

I purchased a custom bytetag on September 21st 2023 for $28.07. The reason I chose them was because I could put my pets name on the tag with the ** code. This is the sole reason. I did not receive any correspondence for >1 month from them. After about a month, I contacted them and they said they would ship another one to me. I waited another 6 weeks. I contacted them again and they said they no longer make custom tags and offered me a non custom tag. I said no, I would rather just have my money back and I could send them the receipt. I did not receive any response from them. I emailed a week later and asked for an update on the refund. They said they would only give me a generic tag. I responded with I would like 2 tags since I paid $28 and they were on sale for half that price. I again received no response. Every time I email them and ask for a refund or something of equal value for my purchase they just flat out don't respond. I still have received nothing from this company.. I truly just want my money back. Bottom line, this company is dishonest and their customer service is pretty much mon existent. I let everyone I know with a pet know how dirty that company is.Business Response

I ordered a dog tag from this company on Sunday Jan 28 and it has yet to ship. Ive email them several times and no response I even message on social media and nothing. Ive read that other customers have had this same issue. I just want a refund. I dont care for the product anymore if this is how they treat their customers. I ordered 1 bytetag on 1/11. I got am email that it shipped on 1/14. The tracking number is 92001903332000300079727500.The last update states Pre-Shipment Shipping Label ************* Awaiting Item *************, ** ***** January 14, ****, 9:01 am I checked the tracking number dialy and there was no update so I reached out to them on the the 23rd. I got a response from a representative on the 28th stating "our fulfillment software glitched and stopped tracking our inventory. This caused us to continue selling out of stock inventory for a couple of days without realizing it.Unfortunately, it appears that your order was affected by this, so we had to set aside your shipping label to wait for new inventory arrive. It shouldn't be much longer before we have the inventory to ship your order." I replied on the 30th asking when they expect an inventory shipment and have not heard back. I also sent a separate email and not a reply on the 30th asking for a refund as I saw multiple social media posts that the same thing happend months ago and they never received it and that the company is a scam. I did contact them through their site as well requesting a refund. The product had not been shipped as they confirmed but yet I was provided a tracking number. I work for a sales site and you only get a tracking number once a shipping label has been scanned and item picked up.I have not heard back from them nor have I been returned for order ****** for the amount of $15.47 USD.Customer Answer

I placed an order with Bytetag when they were having a sale. The order was confirmed and a few weeks later and I received a shipping confirmation. The tracking information says that the tracking number was created but has never been picked up. It has been weeks now with no update. I have reached out via email and on their website and have heard nothing back. At point I just want to refund, I don't even need their product since it seems like this is a common occurrence for the company and I don't want to support them.Initial Complaint

Made a purchase 1/16. Was marked "awaiting pickup by ***** on 1/18. It's been stuck in that state since. I've emailed 3 times (email is the only contact method available). No response.
