  Something has gone very wrong with this business. I had been using them for 10 years to make my difficult prescription lenses and they were just outstanding. Now, the workmanship and customer service are abysmal. Also, I have been wearing glasses for 50 years and I have used labs all over the US and abroad. NEVER had an experience like this last one. I sent them frames and they phoned to say that they had ruined them. Their solution, get this--was to scrape all of the paint off the frames, since they had already cut the lenses, and I could wear the frames like that!! OK, that should have been my first clue that management has changed over. Instead of that ridiculous solution, I sent them another pair of frames exactly like the one they just ruined, but in a different color (at my expense). So, the glasses arrive back with correct lenses, but also scratched and scraped up beyond belief. In addition, they did not return the broken frames as they said they would. I emailed to mention that. Their response was simply to look around in the box--they say they did send them back. Not true. I finally wrote an email to complain about the experience. Their solution? After a lengthy email blaming the frames, they would refund my money (for the trouble and presumably the frame expense), but I would have to disassemble the glasses and send them back the lenses. No words to describe how idiotic. I am about a minus 18, so, like you can't really switch back and forth lenses in these prescription ranges and be able to function. I mean, OK, now what? I am back to square one? I expected some level of compensation for the two pairs (not just one) of wrecked frames. Because of this, it has taken me months to fill my glasses prescription. I am having to have another pair of glasses made at another lab--a pair that is not all scratched up that I can wear to work. Bottom line, the personnel has changed over--they are dishonest and, quite frankly, stupid! Use a different lab!

  Excellent experience! I have an odd prescription with high diopter so was told I needed to stay local but gave SimplyEyeGlasses.com a try due to their competitive pricing. Allison worked with me and we got the perfect setup on just the second try after some local shops finally gave up. High recommendation!
