I ordered the free books about the uses of apple cider vinegar. I paid for the postage and handling as instructed, but never received my books. Its been over 3 months now. Id would either like my books OR a refund for the postage ($9.95).Thank you,***************************Initial Complaint

I found a charge on my PayPal account for $10.70 on September 26, 2023. This is a fraudulent charge. Ive never heard of the Alternative Daily and have never ordered anything from them.Business response

In response to Complaint ID ********,
******************* became a customer of ********************** on September 26, 2023 at 8:57:50 PM EST by manually entering her personal information into our online ordering database.
We can track our customers journey through our order processing system. We see that ******************* visited our website using her Iphone by clicking on a link she viewed on ******** or Instagram. We can confirm the ** address matches the city and state where she had the order sent. Also, all customer information matches the personal details provided to the BBB as part of this complaint. We did not previously have any knowledge of ******************* or her address or payment information as these items were provided to us through the ordering process. Attached is confirmation of these facts.
Further, ******************* provided her payment information for a PayPal account that also matches her personal information, including banking information which matched her billing address to her shipping address. Had these details not been consistent, the payment would have been declined per the requirements of our merchant processor. Attached is confirmation of these facts.
Lastly, ******************* was provided a copy of her order receipt and tracking information which was emailed to the address she placed into the order form on 9/26/2023. We can see how long she was on the order page and that she manually typed in her email address to receive her payment receipt. This email address also matches the personal email provided by ******************* to the BBB as part of this complaint. We can also confirm that the book ******************* ordered was successfully delivered to her home on September 30, 2023. Attached is confirmation of these facts.
The Alternative Daily provides the **************** contact email and phone number through many avenues available to ******************* including; the order checkout page, the confirmation email receipt, the packing slip included with her order, and on the BBB website during the complaint process. A search of our contact records confirmed that ******************* never made any attempt to contact us. Had she notified us of her complaint, we would have happily provided this information and options for a complete refund, where applicable.

While reviewing my checking account charges I found a $178.19 charge by Thealtdaily place through PatPal on 8/1/22. After research i found that this is a bookstore. I dont know if this fraudulent charge was made by the person placing the order, PayPal or The Alt Daily. I will be contacting PayPal. I may just be ranting but this is happening on a monthly basis.***********************Initial Complaint

I saw an add for a "free" book, just pay 9.95 for S&h. After entering CC info the site "crashed" which I have screenshots of. Assuming the "order" did NOT go thru I was surprised to see a charge from this fraudulent company, the alternative daily in the amount of 46.95 on my PayPal account. I filed a dispute with PayPal. I received in the mail a small plastic type envelope shipped Media mail with a tracking number. The envelope couldn't possibly contain almost 50.00 worth of books. (which has NOT been opened, as I will be return to sender after dispute is settled. They responded once and have not responded again to the other info I have provided paypal. They simply said that they have tracking that shows it was delivered. This is a fraudulent scam and they should be fined and banned from taking advantage of people and their hard earned money. I have photos of the transaction error. No confirmation email or info was ever received.Business response

This company charged my VISA $9.95 on JUly 5, 2021 for a subscription or something that was never ordered. I do not know how they obtained my credit card #. This is a fraudulent charge, not a mistake on my part.Business response
