      With all the positive reviews out there, I hope people see this one, and really disappointed in their service. I am writing this review after 6-7 months. My eyes are still blurry, and texts appear blurry too. I purchased the "best package," and they said they would cover any adjustments. However, they have not done so! Since my eyes are still blurry, I have seen their doctor twice. They gave me drops for dry eyes which is another $100+ cost, but they did nothing. All they offered me is wait out....To get a correction, you have to spend money out of your own pocket to get an exam with your eye doctor. Afterward, they will "decide" if they will proceed with the correction. They just got back to me, saying there would be a risk. I am pretty sure they don't want to provide the correction. I might have to go back to glasses after all these. ??

      In in 2019, I had gone to the Lasik vision institute in ************** **************. I have paid an out-of-pocket expense of a little over $3000 for corrective eye surgery in both eyes. I was assured that there was a lifetime insurance policy where I would be able to come back if there were any changes to my vision. Now in 2023, I am a ******** resident and called the Lasik vision institute to schedule an appointment to get my eyes reevaluated because my site is deteriorating. I was told that they will not honor my lifetime insurance policy because the Mount Pleasant site had closed. I do not understand how the Lasik vision institute is free of any obligation to correct the vision of a patient that they have on file because an office closed. Regardless of who was fighting the office, it was the Lasik vision institute that I entered into an agreement with, and it is now the Lasik vision institute that is denying to correct my vision.

      I had PRK at a Lasik Vision Institute in *********** in 2014 and paid for the lifetime warranty. The procedure was great but as expected, my vision has slowly started to deteriorate in the last year. I called the company to use my warranty and have a touch up procedure. I was told over the phone that the parent company that owned Lasik Vision Institute filed for bankruptcy in 2020 and my warranty is now void. Other Lasik companies have also filed for bankruptcy, nullifying any warranties that their customers purchased. At the time that I got Lasik, the lifetime warranty was heavily encouraged. The SEC should investigate the misleading lifetime warranty sales that these Lasik companies sell and then nullify when they file bankruptcy on "underperforming locations".

      I had LASIK surgery at the ********** location in 2018. I paid for the lifetime warranty on both eyes. The company has now gone bankrupt, and so of course my warranty is null. Over the last two years, I have reached out repeatedly to other nearby locations (I understand that it was a franchise and each location operated independently) and the phone number/email of the parent company those locations provided in order to get ahold of my medical records. I have recieved no response whatsoever. My LASIK surgery did work well and has improved my life greatly, although my vision is beginning to worsen slowly (I did expect this, but I did not expect to have to pay for corrections down the line) and I now have to start over with another provider. I hope I can find one willing to work with me with what little information on my procedures I was given at the time, and for having been a patient of this shady a** company. Unbelievably disappointing. I want my medical records.
