    On 1/13/22 my father (*****************************) bought a brand new car from Greenway Kia West Palm Beach. In Aug. 2023, my rear right signal light went out. Thinking it was a simple fix, I took it to the dealership and they were unable to identify the issue without a diagnostic test. Unable to afford the diagnostic at the time, I went back on 2/3/24, where they did a deeper inspection of the car. During this, the service mechanic uncovered that the wires for the signal looked like they had been replaced as they were not the ones made by the manufacturer. On top of the wires, it was also discovered that the trunk was missing the *** number and the rear end looked like it had been in a car accident previously and was replaced. As there was severe rear-end damage. The dealership has stated that because it looks like the car was in an accident, the maintenance would not be covered under warranty and would have to be paid out of pocket. However, this vehicle has experienced no accidents since being under my care and the original ownership insurance is still in effect to this day upon taking ownership of the vehicle. When talking with a manager from the dealership it was said that the car was delivered to them from the manufacturer on 1/10/22, and thus they would not have time to do a full inspection of the car. The dealership has made no attempts to fix the problem as they state the fault is my own and theres nothing they can do. With this new revelation, I am concerned that there may be additional damage to the car that has yet to be discovered and could become a potential danger to myself and others while the vehicle is on the road. To date, $16,700 in car payments with a $2,000 down payment has been paid for what was supposed to be a new car. This does not include other fees paid to keep the car well maintained and in good condition (approx. ~ $600). ***************** case #************: 2022 Kia ***** LXS; *** *****************.

    On February 1, ****, I had my car towed to this dealership due to I had an appointment set up due to a recall that needed to be rectified. The reason for having my car towed was because there was a noise that my son and I heard therefore we were afraid to drive the car. The service advisor was told of our concerns and the service advisor stated that there was a recall on the engine for this particular year. My car is a 2020 Kia ***** The service advisor stated that a diagnostic would need to be done to determine the problem but also she would have to open a ticket for replacement of the engine for my 2020 Kia ***** I called the service back the following day to find out the results and the service advisor told me that the results were not back yet but it appeared a ticket would have to be open regarding replacement of the engine. On Monday, 2/5/24, the service advisor called me back and told me that I had to replace a gasket. At that time, there was no mention about my engine was bad. Meanwhile, the service technicians had driven my car at least 2 times off the lot that I am aware of. On February 9, I received a call back from the service advisor stating I needed a new engine all of a sudden. She also said that I would not have to pay for anything that was done on my car within the week that they had my car. She never stated that the no charge excl;uded them doing the diagnostic. I went to the dealership on February 10, **** and was told in order to replace the engine it would be $8032 which includes the labor, and in order to be put in a new car, I would have to put $15,000 down which is insane. I refused to listen to anything else at that point so I asked for the key for my car so I can have it towed back to my home and that is when I was told that I had to pay $200 for a check out fee. I feel as though this total experience was misleading. I wouldn't recommend anyone buying from them. No one shows they care about the consumer. Bad Business.
