    Moving shield is a fraudulent company scamming people into thinking they are providing legitimate moving insurance when infact its a total scam they take your money and none of the contact Info works. No one answers the phones it goes to mail boxes that are not set up and done work and neither does the e mail they take your money and run.

    On August 6th, 2024 Moving Shield LLC contacted me stating they were an affiliate of Beacon Moving, whom we hired to move our property from ****** to **********. They sold us supplemental insurance at a rate of $483 paid by digital check. We had lost, damaged, and stolen items and, when I attempted to enter a claim, their website was inoperable and the number disconnected. I found out through reviewing their contract they had copied the contract of another company and basically a scam working in conjunction with the moving brokers.

    I am writing on behalf of Moving Shield LLC in response to a complaint filed by **** on August 20, 2024. We would like to address the concerns raised in the complaint and provide clarification.

    Firstly, we want to assure both **** and the BBB that Moving Shield LLC is a legitimate and fully operational business. We provide supplemental moving coverage for customers during their moves, and we are entirely separate entities from any moving carriers, including Beacon Moving and SALA Moving. We have no affiliation with these companies, and never call saying on any moving carriers behalf and our services are independent of any moving services our customers may contract.

    ***** first communication with us occurred on August 19, 2024, at 1:00 PM. We received her email regarding damage and missing items, and we began the process of reviewing her situation. As a functioning company, we strive to respond to all inquiries and claims as promptly as possible. However, given the complexity of the claims process, we must ensure a thorough and fair evaluation, which requires time, more than 24 hours. 

    It is important to note that the email sent to us was directed to ******************************** which is not our claims department. Claims must be submitted via our website or directly to ********************************* to be processed efficiently. We sincerely apologize if there was any confusion regarding the correct procedure for filing a claim.

    Regarding the assertion that our website was inoperable, we are actively investigating this claim with our technical team to ensure there are no barriers to submitting claims. Additionally, the claim that we are operating fraudulently or using contracts from another company is unfounded. We operate with full transparency and integrity, and all our policies and contracts are developed and owned by Moving Shield LLC.

    We have reached out to **** to clarify these issues and assist her with the proper submission of her claim. We are committed to resolving her concerns and ensuring she receives the coverage she purchased.

    We kindly request that this response be included in our file and considered in the resolution of the complaint. Should you require any further information or documentation, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    I am rejecting this response because: their website does not list a claims email address and their phone number was not in service after payment was received. Further, their contract was copied from another insurance company that verified that multiple people have contacted them searching to file a claim with Moving Shield, LLC.

    Thank you for your attention to this matter. We wanted to provide an update on our efforts to resolve the issue raised by ****. Since receiving her complaint, we have actively attempted to contact her via both phone and email to address her concerns and reach a resolution.
    Attached, you will find a screenshot of an email we sent to ****, dated 08/22/24], which clearly explains that we were unable to address her claim within 24 hours of her initial inquiry due to the fact that her submission was only received the day before she contacted the BBB. We expressed our willingness to work together to resolve the matter and requested that she provide further documentation to move the claim forward. Unfortunately, we have yet to receive a response from **** or her associate *****.
    Please understand that Moving Shield has made every effort to engage with **** and address her concerns in good faith. We remain committed to finding a resolution but have been met with no further communication on her end. It is important to emphasize that we have done everything in our capacity, and the delay in resolution is due to a lack of cooperation from the complainant.
    We hope this additional information demonstrates our commitment to resolving this issue. Should you have any further questions or require additional documentation, please do not hesitate to reach out.
