I received a Michael ******************* Orchid canister for my bridal shower several months ago, among many other Michael Aram products in the Black Orchid series. I hadn't opened or used these until I moved into my home on November 1, 2023. When I opened all of my Michael Aram canisters one of the lids was defective. The seal was missing from the lid and the cover had a coloring defect beneath the black orchid there was shading that was clearly a production error. I contacted Michael Aram's customer service to have the lid replaced. I was told since I had no receipt and it was purchased several months ago there was nothing they could do. I even expressed I would purchase the lid again I was told there wasn't anything they could do they do not sell lids separately. I received a minimum of 15 Michael Aram high end, high priced products for my bridal shower all of which were in pristine condition except for this one lid that is defective. The fact that Michael Aram does not stand behind a product that left their warehouse in a less than exceptable condition is unfathomable, and ridiculous. I do not have a receipt since it was a gift at my bridal shower and my shower was several months ago, however, when looking at the product you can immediately see that this defect occurred at production and NOT from use. This item is brand new and Michael Aram should be able to either replace the lid or replace the whole canister no questions asked. When I spoke with a customer service representative I was told there was nothing they can do for me, and made me feel like I was looking to get something for free, Considering the cost of these product I should not be nickeled and dimed to get what was paid for and have it in pristine condition when opened. I would like to have the lid replaced or the whole canister replaced.
