I took my diamond stud earrings to ******** in *********** ** about 6 weeks ago to have the posts changed. ****** and the owner's son both helped me. They suggested I change the posts to a newer style. I agreed and left them my earrings. Two weeks later I was called that my earrings were ready, I went back to the store and saw again ****** and the owners son. They never replaced the earrings with the posts that were suggested. I again left them the earrings. A week later on 3/20/24 I was called the earrings were ready for pick up. When I arrived that day the store is having a Store Closing Out Of Business Sale. I saw the jewelry repair lady this time she gave me the earrings but again it was not what i paid for. This time i took the earrings and left the store. When i got home is when I realized my diamonds were switched out and replaced with other diamonds. The diamonds in these earrings are not mine. These are terrible, the one earing looks cracked in half. The one earring has a black inclusion right across the diamond. My original diamonds had no inclusions that can be seen with the naked eye. I immediately called the store. The repair lady told me that ****** was fired and the owners son was "out of the country", she said my earrings were not repaired by her but sent to the Wellington store and we should go there and speak to the owner, Mr ********* My husband did that on the same day, basically he was told that it is "Our Word Against There's" He didnt even offer to look into it for us, he didnt offer anything. He could care less - Now my beautiful earrings that my husband bought me years ago are gone. There were without a doubt stolen from me. This store is closing 2 locations very abruptly, which only leads me to believe there is a serious problem going on. I am heartbroken to say the least. I have the original paperwork from my original purchase of these diamonds, the owner didn't care about that either. He said go ahead prove it.
