On March 20, 2024, I went to Take 5 Oil Change, which I understand is franchised by ******************* I went for my oil change as normal and was charged for a oil change. As I was leaving my car started alerted me that the oil pressure was low on my car and to turn off the car immediately. I turned right around and went back to the store. After about an hour, they told me that they had accidentally removed the oil sensor from my car and were unable to replace it right there and then. They gave me a ride back to work and towed my car to a mechanic. From there a received very little comunication about the whereabouts and status of my vehicle. I would only receive information if I reached out to them company. I was informed by the general manager that they would be unable to give me a rental car while my car was being worked on despite the repairs taking more than one day. The general manager did notify me that I would be receiving a full refund for the service (I never got the full refund). The next day I was told my car would be ready but it was not. I once again was told I had to find my own transportation in *** of my car being in the shop. Finally the following day my car was ready. I was told to go to the shop so that they could refund my card. When I arrived after 15 minutes they told me that they didnt know how to refund the card. After leaving, I reached out to the general manager for a refund and reimbursement of my out of pocket expenses but received no response. I then disbuted the charge with my credit card company but the store provided receipts of payment and refused to issue the refund.

I am rejecting this response because the business has been misleading and basically silent. They lied early on and told me to call their corporate office, knowing that they are a franchise. Now, a month later, they are saying they will contact the franchise. This is a stalling tactic which has not resulted in any resolution.

February 18, 2024 I got an oil change at Take 5 Oil Change in ************** ( my teen daughters car). Engine light came on after that. Took car to dealer who found oil cap missing and oil all over under the hood. Had to pay $435 to diagnose, clean the spill and re-do oil change. Mechanic at dealer told me that whoever changed the oil failed to properly replace and tighten the oil cap, which made it pop off and spill oil everywhere on engine.Take 5 refuses to take responsibility for faulty replacement of oil cap and for all the cost they incurred. They keep saying they have video of their guy putting cap back on. He may have, but he failed to tighten it properly. Please help refund me. Enclosed is diagnostics and receipt.
