DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. This company will bully you to take the study on a certain timeline and then threaten to charge your card again if you don't comply. Then I didn't ever get the results and they are threatening me with applying the bill to my credit. Its the most insane practice from any company I have ever dealt with,

Like many of the other reviews, it should actually be a zero. My Dr ordered the sleep study. Was notified by text that they received the prescription and that it was sent to the insurance company due to pre-authorization requirements. Received another telling me that the insurance has been verified. One would assume that meant it was covered. I completed the study over 3 night as the first night was interrupted for some reason. Had been awaiting the results of the study but instead I found out that I owe them the entire $329 study cost. I was told they would share the study results after I submitted my payment. So basically holding the results hostage. Received many text messages and phone calls, that I haven't answered. What legitimate company call you with a blocked number, identified as "private number". Once I review further with my insurance company I may elect to make payment, but no matter the results, no chance in the world I'm buying medical equipment from them. In summary, you'll be wise to stay away from the company and inform your physician of the bad reviews (which are many) and see if he can recommend someone else.

I understood that my sleep study was covered under my insurance. Upon being informed that I would have to pay $260 out of pocket, I questioned them why if I have insurance, to which I was told, "That is what we charge for shipping and sending the results to your doctor (which they didn't sent to my doctor) and what you have to pay out of pocket after insurance." I was NEVER told my insurance would not cover. Once I received my paperwork after the sleep study, I noticed it said "self-pay." I called to question them, and they informed me that my insurance would not cover the sleep study, so I had to pay out of pocket. Why was I not told this initially so I could make the choice to move forward with the testing or not? It is very deceptive how they go about conning people into believing they are covered by insurance and the fee is your portion after insurance. I wish I would have read the reviews before going with this company because I would NEVER have used them. Beware of this company and the fees they make you believe are AFTER insurance because they are "self-pay" fees, which is not necessary when there are companies out there that will accept your insurance.

Deceptive billing processes. Their contract states a late fee per day, which is fine. But I called in twice to get an extension which is also in the paperwork. Never received a call back, email, or text. I even told the call center about the zero response. It appears to be some sort individual rep scam setup. Hard to believe my ENT doctor uses them, but they will not again after this feedback.

I had to get a sleep study done in April of 2025. Unfortunately Blackstone was the company that my doctor referred me to. They filed with my insurance but did not do it correctly and my insurance didnt pay. After telling them to resubmit the paperwork to my insurance, which they did!, they were too impatient to wait for payment so they started harassing me through phone calls and emails. They told me that they were going to send my account to collections, if I did not pay immediately. I didnt. They also threatened that my insurance would be canceled, and my credit would be ruined. I just kept telling them to call my insurance and they would explain all that had happened. They still have not done that. This company should be shut down. Especially with all the complaints and its still happening in July of 2025.

This review is about Blackstone Medical regarding a deceptive billing experience related to a home sleep test I completed in May 2025.
On May 14, I received a text from Blackstone stating they had received a sleep test order from my doctor and were verifying my insurance benefits. On May 15, I received two follow-up messages: the first said my plan required pre-authorization, and the second said insurance had been verified and I should expect a call.
That same day, a representative named Juan texted and called me. During our call, he said, “I am happy to inform you that we completed the insurance verification and found out that you met your deductible. Therefore, your out-of-pocket cost will be $10 only.”
Based on that confirmation, I agreed to move forward with the test.
I never received a bill or any request for payment. Then, over a month later, I was contacted by Blackstone’s collections department with a $329 bill, stating the test was a “self-pay” study.
When I pointed to the earlier messages and shared screenshots, I was told that BCBS had “initially said they were in-network but later changed their position.”
This explanation does not make sense. Insurance verification and pre-authorization were completed before the test was shipped. I was never informed of any changes.
I requested written proof of the communication between Blackstone and BCBS verifying this supposed change. They were unable to provide it.
To make matters worse, the test results shared with my doctor directly contradicted my experience. I reported recording 7 hours the first night and only 3 hours the second night due to disconnection. The report reversed this.
After researching the company online, I found many similar complaints describing misleading billing and communication. I am requesting the $329 charge be dismissed. I am facing deceptive business practices.
I wish I could give zero stars, but unfortunately, one star is the minimum allowed.

Horrible company. My husband's doctor ordered a sleep study and the high pressure sales started then. First fast-talker using high pressure to get credit card payment to order the device. The device didn't record the 2nd night so we called and the response made me question the validity of this "study" at all. They said they had enough data. We returned the device. Some time later we get a hateful call indicating that we either need to pay in full or give them insurance information - had no idea who this woman was nor what she needed payment for. Apparently my husband "qualified" for a CPAP - don't want/need it. The high pressure and numerous harassing sales calls have gone on for weeks. Then they switched to "oh you just payed a small amount to get you started and this is what's left..." calls. I repeatedly asked for a mailing address but they only want credit card or bank routing information. We finally just allowed the charge on the card to get rid of them.

Absolutely horrible company. They were recommended by my Dr. They told me that my Insurance would cover the test 200 percent, A complete lie, I had the test and although insurance covered the majority of it they are trying to get 145 Dollars from me, They have sent me threatening texts. I’m very disappointed that my Drs office would ever recommend this company.

If I could give a zero and the worst negative review I would- they lie in order to get or obtain monies that they are not owed. No one complains loud enough to get this company removed! They do not know how to set up the sleep study, they are completely fraudulent and deserve to be disbanded
