Similar to many other complaints. This business functions off of shady practices. They have parkmobile signs around the lot which is also the sponsor of their own personal app. The sign has 717 parking next to the park mobile logo. I paid parkmobile for 2 hours of parking a reasonable 5 dollars. I received a ticket for 25 dollars in parking fees and a 40 dollar fee for the attendant to charge me. I visited 717 parking lot 8/22/2023 in *****. I saw they had options to pay by machine, 717 parking app powered by park mobile, or download park mobile app to pay. I have used park mobile app at their parking lot before and found my zone number **** and paid for 2 hour parking from 9:29am-11:29am. I came back from my work meeting before my time was up and found a citation parking notice ********** for unpaid parking $12 and notice fee $40, total amount due $52. I saw email support on the receipt so I emailed them copy of my park mobile receipt for parking and explained situation, they responded back I needed to fill out a dispute form which I did. They emailed me back and said it was denied because the receipt was not from a company they use which was incorrect. I paid the fee online totaling $57 to avoid any legal or towing issues while I work on disputing this in the meantime. I am sure this is incorrect and I paid for my parking the correct way this should have been done. I would like to be refunded for my $57 since I have proof I paid for this parking. I am available to provide additional information regarding to this matter as well. I have attached parking notice and receipts of payment for that day. I am rejecting this response because: I feel like this company has misrepresented their parking app due to the affiliation with park mobile. I have read more complaints online regarding this company and other consumers having the same issues and the company refusing to refund the fee or refund the filing notice. They are not willing to work with any of the consumers. I parked for two hours, paid on my app that I was under the impression I was paying the company, and I am stuck with paying $57 to pay for two hours of parking. That is not right and this should be refunded as a courtesy.

On July 21st 2023 my partner parked our car in a lot (****************************************) witch featured a ParkMoblie app sign with a zone number asking for payment via the app. He paid for over 7 hours of parking (until 6am) via the app in parking zone ****. We have never had an issue parking in this lot and paying via the ParkMobile app in the past, and have done so two other times within the last year. When he returned at around 3 am, the car was gone, so he called the number on a sign nearby indicating unpaid parkers would be towed, and sure enough, the car had been towed. He paid for an Uber to go to the tow lot and then paid to receive the car back into our possession. The towing company said they were called and authorized by 717 parking to tow the car, and we also got a parking notice/fine from 717 which was on the car when it was received back from the tow company. The total cost of the ordeal, including the uber to the tow lot and the actual payment we made for parking was over $300. Losing this money created hardship for us. I called 717 parking and someone in customer service told me to email the complaint with all appropriate documentation to their support email address. On July 26th 2023 I emailed them a description of the unlawful towing, authorized by them or their representative, the invoice from the towing company and the receipt of that invoice's payment, our proof of payment via the app for that day and time and zone, and the fine/notice from them. The automated reply said it could take up to four bossiness days to receive a reply. It has now been 12. Yesterday (August 10th 2023) I tried to call them again since I got no response to my email and could not connect to a person despite multiple tries. It's almost like they put my number on a do not answer list because getting someone on the phone the first time was not difficult. I left a message asking for a call back and have not yet received one. I also sent another email. This company is predatory.Business Response

This valet service inadvertently impacted my parked vehicle within an occupied space and made assurances to compensate for the resultant damages. This incident transpired on April 21, 2023. However, as of the current date, August 8, 2023, no resolution has been achieved. The company mandated that ********* two estimates, a requirement which I duly fulfilled, supplementing them with an independent appraisal to facilitate a comprehensive assessment of diminished value. Regrettably, I find myself subjected to what appears to be undue exploitation, with the aforementioned company displaying reluctance to remunerate me commensurate with the compensation merited. While they initially consented to a settlement based on an estimate, it is notable that my appraisal encompassed structural impairments, a component present in the original estimate agreed upon, yet conspicuously absent in the subsequent estimate for which disbursement is being withheld. A perceived conflict has been cited by the company, warranting a demand for an independent appraisal, an exercise I had already undertaken. Noteworthy is the financial commitment I undertook, expending over $300 for this appraisal, which, regrettably, is met with refusal for reimbursement by the company.Business Response

FRAUD BY DECEPTION!APPEAL TO 717 PARKING:We were a patron of your lot next to ********* Saturday evening. I believe its referred to as the *********** lot. We first parked in your lot, then immediately moved to street. The security guard told us that kiosk was not for street parking but for the lot so we moved back into your lot.Once we parked we proceeded to the only kiosk we saw which was between your lot and the street. We asked the security guard at ********* if this was the correct meter for the lot and he said it was. So we paid for 2 hours. Upon leaving restaurant we found a $54 ticket on our windshield. I returned to security guard and he confirmed that kiosks was for your lot. I am rejecting this response because: I was already fully aware that I paid the ************* (after receiving your violation) - afterall I sent you the copy of the receipt. I have already reached out to your business and was basically told "tough". I'd like to know that you plan to change your signage at that lot. Otherwise, I'm convinced that this is just your plan - to take advantage of consumers and especially out of towners. You are a terrible example of tourism for the *************. Obviously, you know I wasn't trying to skip payment since as you see I did pay the city. It's not like I took a product from you and reduced your inventory. I did not take away any business away from you as the lot wasn't even halfway full. I would like a refund.

It's obvious your attempt is to prey on tourists. I am forwarding all of this information to the ************* because I want them fully aware of the type of company you are. 7/9/2023 2:13pm I parked in the 717 parking lot directly across the street from *********************** and diagonally across the street from *****************. That lot only allows you to pay to park until 6:00pm. There is no opportunity to park for 1 hour or 2 hours - you are forced to pay for an overnight. I did not do that, therefore, I was ticketed for non-payment of the overnight fee and charged an additional $40 for having to ticket me. I have tried to talk with 717 leadership - have emailed and left messaged without success. You have 30 days otherwise I could end up getting a boot or my car towed if I am in the *************.Business Response

This is a private parking lot that tries to make itself look like a public parking lot. I couldn't find a pay booth, so I paid via the phone app ParkMobile that I downloaded just last Saturday and used for the first time. I used my fiance's vehicle and hadn't added mine, didn't even think about that fact. So I paid the lot fee, and we went to the ****************** show at Ybor City. I was shocked to see a ticket on my car, and then when investigating, I realized I hadn't added my own car. So, reasonably, I sent a photo of my own car in the lot, and my paid receipt, in the ParkMobile app and I'm also attaching to you a screenshot where it shows both vehicles on the same app linked to my own credit card. I sent in that information and they said, no, in addition to paying the parking fee, I had to pay a $40 fine, which is not really a city fine, because they are not a public parking lot. They have no right to try to collect the money, when a legitimate payment was made, simply making an honest mistake in not adding my car to the app.But they did not even bother to ask for validating information, which would be the reasonable and honest thing to do, they just said I owed the fine. They need to stop calling it a fine, as it is not a city ordinanced parking violation. I know this because I called the *************. They need to drop this nonsensical charge of $40. I am rejecting this response because: It is not a meaningful response with no action indicated to rectify the situation, therefore disingenuous. They are certainly aware that this was not an opinion submitted but a request for action which they have ignored. I paid the parking fee on the day I parked the vehicle in their lot and they sent it to collection, which if they wanted to correct the situation, they would apologize and withdraw the action. Judging from all the other similar complaints they don't give a rat's a**. What they are counting on in not dismissing the parking fee is that folks will accidentally park in one of their lots in the future and they can sock it to them. I don't think you can downgrade their rating any lower than it is... They represent everything that is wrong with businesses in America, and this is nothing but racketeering. I will never park in any of their lots again and I will make certain to continue to warn people not to use their lots.

I am rejecting this response because: it is only a statement and not any real action. It is taking them a year to get to this point where they say they will escalate it and satisfying me, but they still have not done it. You do not have any other choice besides excepting or rejecting, and of course, I cannot accept an incomplete response. my perspective is that it is a disingenuous insincere offer because after a year, they finally say that theyre going to escalate it but they actually have done nothing. Maybe they are so backed up with complaints that it is actually how long it took to sort it to a resolution pile, and if that is the case, it is very sad. Because of this situation I have had to avoid parking lots owned by 717 corporation and lots that use this application . With municipalities trying to remove more and more labor from their purview, this is becoming more and more frequent and frustrating. To take that step from escalating to resolving is not that far of a distance for a very simple complaint. I am still waiting for resolution.

Reason for Appeal: I parked on Jun 18 2023 and I forgot I have placed a vanity plate on my car since I added it to the app. So my plate was still in the old one as in ODF-550 but the current is now PLIN. I'm being charged now to another full payment for the parking ($12) + $40 fee because I entered the wrong plate. I admit it is my mistake, but I can prove both plates are for the same car so the fee is unnecessary. I received a parking ticket on 6/24/2023 from 717 Parking which included a parking fee and notice fee totaling $65 for 3 hours. Within a couple days I sent 717 Parking two emails explaining that I had downloaded the ********** App, supplied all required information to set up my account and received a confirmation of my email. I then entered all information to pay by credit card but that unbeknownst to me, the transaction did not go through. I only discovered this upon returning to my car 3 hours later finding a ticket. I believed I had paid the flat parking fee for 3 hours and was very upset to find out the payment didnt register. I followed each email with a phone call to 717 Parking requesting that they consider allowing me to pay the parking fee and waive the $40 notice fee as this was an honest mistake but I have yet to receive a response.Customer Answer
