Important information

  • Additional Info:

BBB conducted an investigation based on a recent Scam Tracker report and consumer complaints concerning service issues. Consumers allege the business is not following through with booking reservations as originally priced resulting in increased costs.

"My mother purchased roundtrip airline tickets through TravelOTickets for $210 in May for a flight in August. The day prior to leaving, she did not receive the email with the boarding pass information as promised. She went online to the airline directly to get her boarding pass with her confirmation number only to find out that her flight reservation had been canceled. She called TravelOTickets and was promised a refund for that flight then they booked her a one-way flight for $287 which she paid for and figured out how on her own to get home the following week. She never received her $210 refund after repeated attempts and promises by employees named Remington and Tomas. I contacted the airline directly to ask why the flight had been canceled using the confirmation numbers given (as at one point TravelOTickets sent an updated confirmation number for the flight). I was told these were marked as fraud as they had been paid for using another person's credit card account. I then contacted the company and they said they would give a refund but could only do a partial by credit card and the rest would be paid by check. Then I was told they could not issue a check but would like to have my Vemo account information or a routing number for my bank account to transfer. This is when we ended the conversation. My mom was issued an $87 refund to her credit card but is still out the $200 plus the additional one-way fare she had to purchase to get back home. The employees of this company lie on phone and in emails as they do not do what they say they will other than take your money. They then blame and accuse the innocent of wrongdoing to coerce them into giving out additional personal information to get the issue resolved."
