I hired Florida Moving Brand LLC to move my son from Orlando to Lakeland, FL. I spoke to a woman named Lynn. I asked all the right questions for information. I was told it would cost 368.00. Plus a little more depending on time and traffic. She wanted 195.00 deposit non refundable if I cancel. I paid with a credit card. My balance was 173.00. She informed me they would be closed on weekends, as my move was for 1/15/2022. I asked how to pay the balance. She told me I can pay the movers. I asked her, will they take my visa and pay them when they get to storage unit in Lakeland. She said yes. I had to sign a contract by docusign. We were having trouble with that on my phone. It took 45min. to fill the very lengthy form. I had to skim reading it as it was 2:15pm and she was rushing me because she had to have it in by 2:30. I was told movers will arrive between 3 to 5pm on the 15th. Mover called me, was very rude and said he will be arriving at 1:50. I was on the phone with my son when they arrived. When the door was answered one of the 2 movers (Calvin) said Movers, we have documents to sign, you need to pay 525.00 cash. Let's get this going I want to get home. Very rude movers. I informed him I was paying by visa when he gets to Lakeland. He said oh no, we don't take credit cards. Cash only.. I asked to call boss. Boss said no. I said I have no cash. So he tells me boss will do visa for additional 128.00. I told him fine as my son had to be out of apartment. Then my son said to Calvin, you don't have to be so rude. With that being said, Calvin told his partner to get those 6 boxes off the truck and they left. I couldn't believe it. 30 min. Later on my Visa was a 550.00 charge for canceling. I didn't cancel they did. Now I am out 745. 00 total, living on social security. And no move. Please help! How can these people be in business. I saw they have lots of complaints on BBB. THANK YOU
