      I brought two refrigeratora and a **** at Famous Tate in one on 7-2-23 and other on 7-23-24. The one refrigerator was *******. It is 8 months old and this the second time it has broke. It has been two weeks and they it maybe two more weeks before the part comes in. I am a 69 year old handicap person. I have to out to a loader refig. Plus have to go out to get ice. This is for each meal and then take things out after. They want me to deal with this for two more week I have family coming down is a week. I want a NEW refrigerator before then. The person i spoke to at Famous Tate is *********************** in the corp office which his has not called me back in a week. I called ********** and did not much help Wait two more weeks for the part. I need help I brought 2 refrigerators and matress from I brought 2 refrigerator and ****ress. at Famoua **** in Lutz Fl. One on 7/02/23 and the other on 7/23/23. The second purchase was a sise by side refrigerator by ***********. This is only 8 months old and this is the second time it has broke. I have called Famous Tate every day after, they gave me the phone number to corp office spoke to ***********************. and have not gotten much response. Called every day for one week and he has not got with me. Today I called Frigeradra and they are telling that the part is still on back order. lutz fl

      *************, purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator from Famous Tate on 7/232023 from our **** store and it was delivered on 7/25/2023. On April 11/2024 customer call requesting service on her refrigerator as she stated it was not cooling. ************* was covered for the repair under the Frigidaire manufacturer warranty. She was referred to ************************** to set up an appointment with them as required by Frigidaire. Customer called ********************** back stating she was not happy as there was a delay from ************************** to repair her refrigerator. Unfortunately  Famous Tate has no control over the manufacturer on how they schedule their service calls. She asked us to take the refrigerator back or get her service sooner. We explained to her once again there was nothing we could and we transferred ************* back to Frigidaire to schedule.

      Frigidaire went out to the customer and diagnosed that the mother would have to be replaced.  She demanded the refrigerator be exchanged as the part had to be ordered. As a courtesy Famous Tate did deliver a loaner refrigerator so ************* would not be without a refrigerator. We advised her that we understood her request  but she was outside of our 30 days exchange policy. We suggested she contact Frigidaire Consumer Affairs if she was looking for a replacement.

      We received a call from the ************************** that they would not go back to the customers home. They sent pictures of the customers home that showed bug infestation. I personally called the customer as this was not an easy conversation to have with anyone. I explained the problem and that she had to have a professional exterminator come and spray the house before they would come out to service. Had we know about this ahead of time we would have not sent a loaner because of the bug infestation. Unfortunately for Famous Tate we will not be able to take the loaner back and will have to write off the refrigerator as we cannot risk the infestation from spreading to the stores or other customers.

      ************* did send a text that the house was sprayed but no receipt. Unfortunately there is nothing Famous Tate can do for ************* as this is between her and the manufacturer Frigidaire. Famous Tate is NOT denying service to the customer ************************** is the one who is denying the service. ************* has also been advised as well there is nothing Famous Tate can do for her at this time.

      I bought a suite of GE cafe appliances from Famous Tate in June 2023. While working with ******, she showed us a floor sample gas range that was about 2k cheaper than a new one. She assured us, even wrote it on our receipt, that the sole problem with the range was cosmetic (scratches).We were NEVER told it was a used range. I was moving into a brand new renovated home and had already spent a significant amount of money, so we did not enter their store searching for a bargain.Since installation, we have had it serviced 3 times, and provided them with documentation that the oven does not heat properly. I am an avid cook, and because of this many (expensive) dinners have come out raw and improperly cooked. This is unacceptable and the only way Famous Tate will rectify this is by charging us another 2k (at least).We were duped into thinking this issue was cosmetic, when they clearly sold us a used range. We would NEVER in a million years buy a used range, much less install one in a brand new kitchen.A replacement free of charge would be the only way to rectify this situation due to the hassle of service calls and the amount of food waste we have been burdened with.The reason I did not provide documentation is that what I have is video of the problem

      After careful review, Famous Tate has decided to accept a return of the range and service plan that was sold on invoice NTDR4084002, delivered on 6/8/2023. Famous Tate will also waive all restocking fees. The range will be picked up on 4/16/2024. The customer has agreed that the range will be disconnected prior to Famous Tate picking up the range. When the drivers confirmed the range is disconnected and ready for pick up they will call Famous Tate so that we can process a refund to the customer on the credit card they used to make the original purchase. Customer has been advised and has agreed to the terms.

      The famous Tate store failed to meet their contract obligations of not installing the water hook up on my refrigerator. Not doing the installation correctly as per GE by putting a wood piece under my fridge causing it to be tilted even though floor was level, and GE refusing to service the refrigerator due to incorrect installation, refrigerator leaking and making loud noises since time of installation, issues documented from the time of purchase and yet the store would not respond in a timely, thirty-day manner which require them to replace the refrigerator, the manager of the store being absolutely impolite and aggressive with me when explaining my issues with the store. The customer service technician saying that she was referring me to upper management and I have never heard from them because she says she cannot resolve the issues on her own. They booked appointments with me and failed to show up at this so at this point. I have no other recourse but the file complaints to try and get resolution from the store.

      After  careful review, Famous Tate has agreed to replace the customer refrigerator that was purchased on invoice LZ12313009-1 and  was delivered on 1/13/2024. Famous Tate exchanged the refrigerator on Invoice NT03214041 and it was delivered on 3/23/2024. We also provided the customer a full refund on the connection of the waterline to the refrigerator. Customer was advised that the drivers only connect the water line to the refrigerator, they do not cap the waterline off. She was advised she will need to contact a plumber. ******** agreed and would contact a plumber in her neighborhood.

      I selected the self clean option on my Frigidaire range. The oven filled with with a white film after the self cleaning. This film will not wash off. I had a home warranty which **** from Fusehvac diagnosed it as non repairable and needs to be replaced. Their phone: **************. I also spoke to Frigidaire consumer affairs who denied as not warranted. This is not a customer or warranty issue. It is a manufacturer issue.

      The following is our response to ***************  BBB Complaint (BBB Complaint # ********).*************** purchased a Frigidaire Range from Famous Tate on 7/4/2021 at our ******************* store on invoice WC07041008. We delivered her Frigidaire Range on 7/10/2021
      We are sorry to hear about the problem she is having with her Frigidaire Range. Unfortunately she is out of the manufacturer warranty period which is one year parts and labor from date of delivery.  *************** best bet is to look at Home Warranty policy to review the coverage she purchased on her appliances appliances. If for some reason she needs to replace the range, Famous Tate will be more than happy to provide her with a favorable price to help her on the purchase.

      Gift card scam. Bought whole house appliance package on 11/15. This is an E-gift scam. I did not receive my card and was told when I called the card was already issued and used. I am so disappointed in this entire transaction and wish I had gone elsewhere. I expect a company like Famous Tate in business for 69 years to make this right as they:1.Boldly advertised the rebates to draw in customers like me 2.******* sold me the whole house package based on the offering w/ the most rebates 3.have relationship with the vendor Electrolux offering the cards Someone needs to step up and make the customer whole. Its unfair that ****** got paid in full, yet now Im left without a rebate. I bought from the company in good faith not expecting to be scammed by a e-gift card. These are inherently troublesome and consumers need to be told it will be an e-gift card up front. Once again, very poor customer service and unfair business practice. I am expecting either the rebate company or Famous Tate to:Reissue the gift card in full Offer any alternative equitable item ironically I was planning to use the $500 to go to **** and buy a mattress so I will take a mattress in lieu of the $500 Credit the extended warranty I purchased.

      The following is Famous Tates response to Dr. ************* BBB Complaint (BBB Case# ********).************* purchased a 4 piece Frigidaire appliance package which quantified for Frigidaire manufacturer rebate which was funded and paid directly from Frigidaire. She purchased the appliances on 11/12/2023 at our North Tampa store on invoice NT11123041.************** was provided a copy of his order (attached to this response) which clearly states in the additional notes that Famous Tate is not financially responsible for third party manufacturer rebates.

      When the consumer goes to the Frigidaire factory consumer rebate site they are give chance to request a virtual card or a have a card mailed to them. We are sorry to hear that her card was compromised but we want to be clear once again this is a Frigidaire Factory Rebate. Famous Tate responsibility is to offer the rebate to consumers when they purchase Frigidaire appliances that will qualify for the rebate.

      In ****************** complaint she asked that her extended warranties bee cancelled and refunded to her. Famous Tate would have no problem providing a refund of her Extended Warranties. To receive a refund ************** can send an email to her sales person ************************* at ********************************** requesting her extended warranties be cancelled and she would like a refund. Once ************** receives the email from ************** the refund will be processed.

      purchased a kitchenaid refrigerator ,dish washer and a stove..from famous tate also we purchased the extended warranty ,refrigerator,broke 8/30/2023..there warranty company sends out a&e repair service multiple times could not repair,..tell me to call kitchen aid,they send out a kitchen aid certified repair men,he came out twice and cannot repair it. contact famous tate warranty service .to no avail . its been over 2 months no working refrigerator..and no offer for replacement..

The customer has been contacted and the customer was provided full credit of the purchase price of the refrigerator less the sales tax. Customer is very happy and stated he would purchase from Famous Tate again.

      In reviewing our files, we do not have an order for **********************. There is a refrigerator that was purchased at the address provided, but the buyers name and the delivery name are completely different. We would be more than happy to help the customer once we have the correct information. 

      Also, if the customer is under the manufacturer warranty which is one-year parts and labor, they can call the manufacturer for service. This information can be found with a ****** Search.

      Bought kitchen appliances, when contractor opened the microwave box it was infested with Roaches - Dishwasher box also had roaches underneath. The store is refusing to pickup the infested appliances and replace - Who wants to install infested appliances IN their house ????

      The following is Famous Tates response to ****************  BBB Complaint (BBB Case# ******** **************  purchased a complete ******* kitchen appliance package which includes a refrigerator, dishwasher, over the range microwave and range from Famous Tate on 7/6/2023 at our ******************* store on invoice WC07063031.  We delivered ************* ******* refrigerator on 7/10/2023 and his over the range microwave,dishwasher and range were delivered 7/19/2023.
      **************** complaint states the over-the-range microwave (***) and dishwasher were infested with roaches and he wanted the appliances exchanged. The *** and dishwasher were delivered to Famous Tates Distribution Center from ******* on 7/13/2023 and both items are stocked is completely separate areas within our ******* sqft distribution facility. Famous Tate does not and has not had a ***** problem in the distribution center since opening in 2008. Other ******* appliances have been delivered from that shipment and there have been no complaints about ***** infestation.
      The appliances were delivered as stated in the beginning of this response on 7/19/2023. The appliances were delivered to **************** garage. The dishwasher *** are in the original factory sealed boxes. 

      When ************* called he was very abrasive over the phone regarding his problem. I tried to explain to him that Famous Tate does not have roaches and the infestation likely happened in his garage. The appliance sat in the garage from the day they were delivered (7/19/23)until he called us (Approximately 9/07/2023). I explained to him this is ******* and unfortunately most all homes have roaches. He then got very loud and stated he does not have roaches. In addition he stated that he had 3 pest control companies come to his house and they stated the roaches had to come from our warehouse.We find it very to believe that this can be determined by looking at the product and the roaches. In addition he would not provide the name of the 3 companies so we could follow-up with them to determine how they came up with that conclusion. At that point we explained to ************** once again there was not an option to return the infested products to Famous Tate. As a point of reference, ************* also stated in his complaint he wanted a replacement but he told our ************* Manager he threw out the microwave. 
      We then found out on a review post by ************** that he was having problems with the refrigerator he purchased and had multiple (2 documented) service calls with unsatisfactory results. We have no record that called the selling store about this problem for needed assistance however our ************* team immediately escalated the issue with ******* and were able to coordinate an exchange through ******* Consumer Affairs on *************** behalf.
      In closing Famous Tate is very proud of customer service and we work hard to take care of our customers. Even though ************** posted negative reviews on multiple sites about Famous Tate and also stated he is telling his friends how bad we are and not to buy from us, we took care of him in regards to his refrigerator and would do it again if there was a need to do so.

      we bought a washer and dryer. they ordered/delivered the incorrect ones. we called the store spoke to a "manager" who became extremly vulgar and aggressive towards my husband, making threats that he will show up at my house and take the equipment himself etc. we then escalated it to his manager. That manager did not solve this and eventually stopped responding to email communications. my final email to him was that if I don't get a response so we can get this taken care of, my next step is contacting my bank to get my money back as that was not the product I wanted to pay $2400 for. I never heard back and I did as I said, contacted my bank. Famous Tate employees made false/incomplete statements and now my bank will not return my money. currently seeking an attorney to handle this. as Famous Tate refuses to return my original equiptment but demands I pay for equipment I don't want. I have email threads to prove where I was reaching out over and over with no response back and in the thread of emails you will see where I sent the correct items # to him as he requested when he first got in contact with us, but he still can't seem to order us the equipment we want OR GIVE US OUR EQUIPMENT BACK.***** reached out one time after I contacted the bank and pretended to act like he was going to take care of it, but still has not. continuously playing the victim when I was the one that had to take a loss.

      The following is Famous Tates response to ***************  BBB Complaint (BBB Case# ********).For point of reference *************** was not the purchaser of the washer and dryer.The purchaser name on the invoice is *****************************. ******************** purchased a Whirlpool washer and dryer from Famous Tate on 3/18/2023 at our Largo store on invoice LS0313017.He was provided a copy of his order whoic we would like to point out have the Whirlpool factory model numbers so there is no confusion of what our customer purchase if they look at the Whirlpool website. We delivered his Whirlpool Laundry on 3/31/2022
      After the delivery ******************** called and spoke to our Store Manager *********************** about his issues regarding the washer and dryer. ******************** was upset stating that he felt that his salesperson *********************** mislead him and his wife on the purchase of the washer and dryer. They were not the models they wanted to purchase. They had been to Lowes and found the models they were looking to purchase **** advised ******************** that we do not have them in stock but we could order them for them. ******************* stated that his wife looked on our website and it said we had the washer and dryer in stock. For point of reference we have never stocked that model washer and dryer from Whirlpool. The Whirlpool models are so close it is possible to make a mistake and look at the wrong model number. ******************** was upset that we did not have the models numbers they were looking for in stock. He then became irate and started using foul language over the phone. He was asked to calm down and there was no need to us fowl language at him on the phone. ******************** continued his rant using foul language.  ******************** was advised that if this continues the call would be ended. He continue and the call was ended. Famous Tate has a zero tolerance when it comes to customer abusing our team members. They have been trained to ask the customer to stop the foul language and if not the call will be terminated.

      After the call ************** felt there were some inconsistency in their complaint based on reviewing the issues with *****************. They needed a washer and dryer as soon as possible as their current washer and dryer had failed. The steam option was never discussed as a sticking point. ****************** offered them a $210.00 customer satisfaction allowance if they would keep the washer and dryer. ******************** said he would talk to his wife and never called back. As a side note the customer stated that ********************** was priced higher than Lowes. ****************** reviewed the Lowes website at that time and we were $300 less than Lowes on the washer and dryer.
      ******************** then called me and started complaining about his experience and what we were going to do about this problem. After going back and forth I agreed that we would order the correct washer and dryer for them. Since they needed laundry I also agreed to let them use the washer and dryer that was delivered as a loaner. I asked them to please send me the correct mail numbers to make sure we order the correct washer and dryer for them.
      I then felt ****************** frustration as I kept receiving emails from both them back and forth and could not get the correct information from them. Then we received a letter from the credit card company that ******************** was trying to do a reversal on his credit card for the purchase of the washer and dryer. At that point it was time to take a different direction in resolving the issue. The customer had the washer and dryer in their home that they were using, we could get the correct information and now they are trying to reverse the charges.
      We then took action by responding to the reversal of the charges. The credit card company reverse the charges and put the money back in our account based our response. After that was done, I called the customer and emailed that what we would like to do is pick up the washer and dryer and provide the customer a full refund. Their responses on separate emails were that we were harassing them and we hear from their attorney.  
      In closing,back on 9/25/2023 we offered to pick up the washer and dryer and provide the customer a full refund. The offer was valid til 9/30/2023. The customer never responded so the offer is no longer available.

      I am rejecting this response because: this company is a joke. First off ***************************** is my Husband and he bought the washer and dryer FOR OUR HOME WITH MY DEBIT CARD. I read the first few sentences until I got the lie that said they needed a washer and dryer asap because theirs failed Im confused because my washer never failed.Not sure where that information came from..Which is why I made such a big deal about trying to settle this by them taking their overpriced washers back and bring me my equipment back so I can go somewhere that hires people with common sense. 

       

      Bottom line here is these are not the washer or dryer that I wanted and/or wanted to pay for. I tried to get my equipment back. They refused and are forcing me to pay for equipment that I did not want. They did offer to come pick up the incorrect equipment though, and leave me with nothing, again REFUSING to give me my equipment back.

      We purchased a new factory ordered ******** Bespoke, 29 cu ft., 4-door Refrigerator on 3/17/23. We were advised by our salesman, ***************** (***), "It will take about a month for the fridge to arrive once ordered." We replied, "That's OK." The refrigerator arrived and was installed in our home Apr 17, 2023. Unfortunately, 4 of the 6 glass panels ordered for the refrigerator's front doors' face were not included in the delivery so I immediately called *** to make him aware, "The two top charcoal color glass door panels and two lower white color glass panels did not arrive with the delivery." *** apologized admitting it was his error for the four missing glass door *********** would order them immediately, and once again advised us, "It might take a month to get the correct glass door panels in from the factory." I advised him, "That's acceptable." A month passed without any word, so I called *** to determine "What's going on with the order." *** told me he would check with his warehouse and provide us an update." At this point, I asked ***, "Is your Store Manager aware of the problem with the glass panels?" *** answered, "Yes." For the next two+ months I called *** at Famous Tate every couple weeks to determine, "What the **** is going on with our door panel order." I got the same response each time MOL of, "The factory is on backorder, we're working on it." On June 23, 2023, I called ***, again, to determine WHERE our door panels are? I got the same answer as before to wit I responded, "***, I think it's TIME to contact your **************** and get your CEO, **************************** ********************* involved as we're now more than two months past your ordering the four glass panels for our refrigerator and they need to know you've got a Major Problem "brewing" here." It is now well past the 3rd month since the missing glass panels were ordered, still no word on status. Enough is enough!

      The following is our response to **************************** , BBB Complaint (BBB Case# ********). ****************** purchased a ******* Refrigerator from Famous Tate on 3/17/2023 at our Lakeland store on invoice LK03173028. 
      The customer purchased the new Bespoke Refrigerator made by *******. The advantage of purchasing this refrigerator is you can choose the color panels you want for the front of the refrigerator. When the order was written a mistake was made and the wrong model number was written on the order for the top panels. The salesperson explained the mistake to the customer and offered to pick up the refrigerator and deliver it when all the panels come in. The customer stated he would wait for the panels and keep the refrigerator.
      As of today, we are still waiting for one of the top panels for the refrigerator. The customer has been advised but stated he wants all the panels delivered and installed at one time. We understand the customer frustration as he is not the only customer waiting for panels. All ******* retailers are experiencing the same problem in receiving panels from *******. ******* cannot provide an update when the panel will be shipped so all we can do is wait.
      Once the panels come in, we will notify the customer to set up delivery and installation. We are sorry this is happening,but this is currently out of Famous Tates control. Only ******* can resolve the problem for the customer by shipping the panels.
