We hired Level One Law to handle our debt. They are supposedly a debt consolidation company. We paid $1,040 per month to this company and started the program in April of ************************************ May 2023. In a one year span, they took thousands of dollars from us and settled ONE debt. We paid them over $10,000 and they settled ONE debt for $1800.00. The rest of the time, they took fees upon fees and stored a minimal amount in a savings account with **************** Their administration fee was $99.00 and their service fee was $600.00 EVERY MONTH so out of the $1040.00 we paid, they took their fees and put the remaining into savings. We were able to retrieve a monthly statement that showed these charges. After seeing that and noting that they are involved in a lawsuit amongst other debt consolidation companies, we quickly decided to remove ourselves from the program. We want our fees back. They did nothing for us. The settled 2% of our debt within a years time.Initial Complaint

I signed a contract for Level One Law to assist with Debt Negotiation and Resolution in October 2023. Beginning in October 2023, $1046 was debited from my personal checking account and moved into a "holding account" with GCS so that Level One Law could ultimately use those funds to pay creditors. I was supposed to receive a 90 day call to outline strategy, of which I never received. Currently, the ** is several states are filing suit due to fees taken from customers before debts settled. To date, I have not received any calls, no debts have been settled, and Level One Law has yet to respond to 3 emails and several phone calls (where I have sat on hold for several hours). Per the contract it is my right to withdraw from the program at any time however, I have not been able to get in touch with anyone to withdraw from the program. I want all my funds from GCS released and I also want to be reimbursed for all administrative fees, retainers, and program fees. The total amount of funds I expect is $8,368.00.Initial Complaint

Never resolved my debt and took over $2000 from my account. Now they are being sued and Ive been told my debts have not and will not be resolved. I stopped them from being able to take money from my account, but now my accounts are severely delinquent with no communication to my credit card companies.Customer Answer

I received a flyer in the mail for a low interest rate loan. Upon contacting ********************* I was told that debt consolidation was my only option. I entered into an agreement with Strategic/Levelone Law/ Global Holdings in June 2023. Since then I have paid $12,117.82. No debts have been resolved. If fact, upon getting access to a statement for the first time today, 5/8/2024, it shows I only have ******* in my account. The rest of the money they paid themselves for fees, without resolving any issues, and in fact only made things worse. I am now requesting a return of all fees, but I have not received any contact from this company in months. Any request to speak to them or call them goes unanswered. Every call states the office is closed. I was shocked to see that the amount of money they took in fees could have been used to resolve multiple payoffs to credit cards, but instead I am in litigation with no response from the company. Instead, my credit has just gone down to the bottom with no response or plan from the companies.Initial Complaint

October 2023 signed contract with Level One Law and Strategic Consultants to help me settle debt with credit card companies. They withdrew $551.32 bi weekly which was held in escrow with **************** I got an email from Court-Appointed Receiver for Level One Law stating there was a lawsuit filed against them because they were collecting unlawful advance fees. I immediately called *************** asked to close my account and asked for the remaining funds that were in escrow to be transferred to my bank account. I attached the email as proof. The amount transferred to my account was $4047.02. I had $6631.32 in escrow. The difference is $2584.30 which I am seeking to get back since they did not even settle one debt and were illegally taking fees. I call Level One Law and try to talk to a lawyer but I get the run around. Level One Law was supposed to do a debt consolidation for us. They took our money and only paid one of our credit cards off and making ***** a month for 3/4 months. We told them we wanted to stop and asked for our money back. They are telling us there's only a little over ******** in the account they have been putting our money into. They couldn't explain to us where the rest of the money is and told us they didn't know how much money we would get back. They actually have a lawsuit against them for this very reason. I signed up for Level one in March of 23. I was quoted ****** a month and this would make me debt free in 5 years. I had a notary come out to my home and went over all fees and documents with me. They said that there was ****** start up fee after that everything would go towards your debt and paying it off. I was told not answer any phone calls from any creditors. If I receive any mail to upload it to them and they would reach out and take care of it. Over the course of the year I did was I was told. I uploaded everything that I received in the mail. I would call and make sure they received it. They said they are working on it and not to worry. I was served with judgment papers on this same creditor that I was working on with them. I upload all the documents of the summons. Called they said 7 to 10 days they would appoint a lawyer to handle this for me. I reached out again in 10 days to hear they didnt even start the process to assign anyone to this matter. I then have gotten a couple strange emails starting that I need to sign off on a new way of how they do things there. That they cant take there fees until everything is paid off to the creditor. I called and they asked me just to sign it. I asked about the layer for the judgement and they said that I should go to court and ask for and extension. I asked to speak to a supervisor and again was placed on hold. 15 minutes later she told me the same thing. Go to court and get and get extension yourself. We might not have a lawyer for your case. I asked what did you do with the money I sent you for these creditors. She said that there were there fees that applied. I had only 2900 left in my account out of the ****** I have paid them. The only thing she could offer was to cancel my program. Was told I would get my refund but have not seen anything. Level one never reached out to the creditors or even acknowledged that I was there client. I know have 2 summons against me. Thanks Level One for a life ****** learned.Initial Complaint

After closing my account with ********************** due to seemingly shady business practices, i was told there was 5300$ in my escrow account. I received an email today saying "After fees the account is now at 0$" which is impossible because Level One Law had been taking fees out of the monthly payments before anything would hit the escrow account.Initial Complaint
