    Money was taken out of my account for my daugther to do some modeling. MAR'****** ******* she end up having some other thing come up.. so she hasn't attending anything.. I have called a few time requesting my mo ey back...I am asking for a refund.. she did not do any of the classes or take any head shots.. The letter I sent was returned because the address i was given is wrong.. How can I get my money back..

    On March 7, 2025, you contacted our office to inquire about canceling your enrollment. During that conversation, our team member provided a clear explanation of the cancellation process, including the need to submit a signed letter to the appropriate address, which is listed in both the enrollment paperwork and the refund policy. At the end of the call, you shared wanting to discuss your options further with a family member, and the call ended without a confirmed decision to cancel.

    Because we did not receive a written cancellation from you, your account remained active in accordance with our standard policy. We understand that it can be easy to overlook a step or miss a detail, but we do make every effort to ensure the process is clearly communicatedboth verbally and in writing.

    That said, we are committed to excellent customer service and will use this communication to request a refund on your behalf. If you change your mind in the future and wish to explore opportunities again, your local center would be happy to support you.

    We signed our son up for modeling classes with Barbizon. They were taking ***** every two weeks from my account. Then he was selected for a competition in ************ which we are not able to attend. I paid the full $1200 for the event plus a late fee, it is completely paid but due to health and financial reasons we are not able to attend. I just want a refund!!!! My son has not been able to attend the ongoing classes due to his work schedule now and it is a complete waste of money. We are wasting money while we are now facing eviction, we have to move and we need that money!!!!!

    We understand that unexpected life events can sometimes impact plans, and we truly empathize with the challenges your family is currently facing.


    When originally enrolling your son in the 2025 competition scheduled for June 29 in *********, the registration process included an online agreement outlining our program details, including pricing, cancellation terms, and refund policy. A copy of this agreement was also emailed upon completion. Our team additionally provided event information and made several outreach attempts to ensure all details were received and to offer support.


    On June 18, you informed a team member that your family would be unable to attend the event. At that time, we reviewed the options available and shared that were happy to work with you to find a path forward. To date we have not received a formal cancellation, but we remain committed to helping your son benefit from the opportunity he enrolled in.


    To that end, wed like to offer an option to rollover your contract to a later event, the ***************************** ******* in December 2025 or the 2026 Capitol Competition. As a courtesy, well waive the standard funds transfer fee (a $175 value) and apply your previous payments toward this event. We hope this option allows your son to still take part in a meaningful and exciting experience.

    I was chosen , found out this company is a scam and they have been trying to take the money from me since. I want this to be resolved before they try sending to collections

    We strive to provide transparent, supportive experiences for every family we work with as we understand that the modeling and acting industry can be unfamiliar territory, and we're committed to offering clear information and guidance every step of the way.

    Mrs. ********* enrolled in our program by completing an online registration form on a secure platform, which included an electronic signature process. As part of this process, each sectionincluding our cancellation and refund policyrequired review and acknowledgment through initials and signature to confirm understanding and agreement.

    Our cancellation policy, which is also included in the agreement, states:
    Refund Policy: You may cancel this transaction for a full refund at any time until midnight of the third business day after the Acceptance Date. After 3 business days, the transaction is non-refundable. All cancellations must be made in writing by certified mail.

    Between May 15, 2025 and June 6, 2025 multiple outreaches both via phone and email have been sent to the contact information on file however all of these outreaches received no reply. To date, we have not received a formal written cancellation or any direct communication clearly indicating a desire to withdraw from the event.

    As there was no formal cancellation or follow-up communication, we proceeded in accordance with the terms agreed to during enrollment. However, in an effort of additional customer service, we will close the account and no further communication or billing attempts will be made.

    I am getting unwanted spam calls multiple times every day from this company. I finally answered & told the person I want removed from their call ******** hung up. She continued to call back every few seconds until I answered the phone again & told me that if I want removed from receiving calls, that I would have to be the one to email the company. I asked why I would have to email the company to simply be removed from their call list when I never initiated the calls to begin with. I sent the email telling them to remove me immediately from their call list.

    In Jan my son signed up for the *** program and was accepted to the program. At the time, this was something in he was interested in. When p***aring to pay for the program, we were told that we had to sign up by the next day or he would lose his spot. There was an option for a payment plan and that was the contract that was sent to me. The *** did discuss a discount if paid in full, which was the payment that was taken out of my account in the amount of $3775. I wasn't 100% sure if we were going to be able to participate in the program but I didn't want him to lose his spot, so we went ahead and signed up. The event isn't taking place until July 2025, I informed them in March or April that we would not be able to participate. One because the experience with Barbizon has not been great but mainly because it's not something we can afford at the time. He is starting school in June, and I have to pay for that, and he wouldn't be able to miss a week of classes. I understand a contract was signed, which I feel we were manipulated in to, but this is not something he will be participating in at any point. I've canceled his account, but I would really appreciate a refund for this.

    It is important to note that Ms. ******* was required to fill out an online enrollment agreement and credit card authorization form via a secured online platform within ***************** and payment card industry compliance standards. Upon completion of the online enrollment on January 7, 2025 for Passport to Discovery, a generated copy of the contract of consumer rights as well as refund policy was emailed to Ms. ******** This email is sent both to the client and Barbizon USA offices. When Ms. ******* signed up, she was given the option of a monthly payment plan or a pay in full plan. At this time, she chose to sign up for the pay in full option.

    On February 11, 2025, Ms. ******* attended the online orientation for Passport to Discovery, which went over the event in detail, including schedule, requirements, and more. On March 10, 2025, Ms. ******* left a voicemail to cancel their account for Passport to Discovery. A team member reached out to go over the cancellation policy. Ms. ******* indicated that her son did not want to attend Passport to Discovery anymore and that they had a change of heart. The team member offered some encouragement and let Ms. ******* know that we are here to work with them to make this happen. They left the call mutually accepting to move forward with the event.

    On April 1, 2025, Ms. ******** letter of cancellation was logged as received. On April 7, 2025, Ms. ******* submitted a chargeback through her financial institution claiming fraud. A member of our team reached out to Ms. ******* on April 10, 2025 to let her know we received the cancellation letter and that the funds are eligible to rollover, as per her signed agreement states.

    On May 20, 2025, Ms. ******* emailed a team member requesting a partial refund. The team member reached out via phone to again go over the policy in the signed agreement. They ended the conversation on a positive note.


    Barbizon USA is not in breach of the contract that Ms. ******* completed for her son to attend the 15th Annual Passport to Discovery. During the registration, Ms. ******* and her family were provided with full disclosure including pricing, terms & conditions as well as our cancellation and refund policies. Information regarding cancellation and refund policies are required to be initialed via the online enrollment. Furthermore, a copy of the terms and conditions were provided via email upon completion of the online enrollment, which was sent via email to Ms. ******** Ms. ******* completed an agreement that stated refund and cancellation policy. Refund Policy: You may cancel this transaction for a full refund at any time until midnight of the third business day after the Acceptance Date. After 3 business days, the transaction is non-refundable. All cancellations must be made in writing Initials by certified mail to: BARBIZON COMPETITION DEPARTMENT, ***************** Tampa, FL 33607.


    The fact and true principle of the matter is that we have honored the contractual obligation and have maintained the highest level of professionalism. We are pleased to offer services like Passport to ********* that hosts over 100 agencies and industry professionals worldwide to scout the best and brightest that Barbizon USA has to offer. We would like to offer a chance for Ms. ******** son to compete at our 2025 Southeast Barbizon Competition, in *******, ** this upcoming December **************** an effort of customer service, we will waive the funds transfer fee (a $175.00 value). Wed like to see Amari compete to utilize the funds that have already been paid toward an event, to showcase his skills he learned during the program.

    I am rejecting this response because: Yes, I understand that we did sign a contract but life events don't happen in 3 days. Amari doesn't plan to attend the *** at all. He's not even participating in anything barbizon is offering! He paid for the courses and is not taking advantage of those things either. Almost $4k is not a small amount to just lose for someone in my position. If I say we're not participating, that should be that. I appreciate the fact that the opportunity is open but in the future if he decides he wants to participate, I'm sure you're willing to take his money again. I don't understand why this is even an argument. Our funds shouldn't be used to pay for someone else to participate in this program.

    I keep receiving strange, unwanted phone calls from barbizon repeatedly every day about some opportunity. I did not initiate this. They have my information and name because I did enroll in a modeling class in 2023 under their Southwest Modeling and Talent business. I have not been in contact with them since the class and have not wanted to. They keep calling me from different numbers so its getting to the point where I feel obligated to report this behavior.

    Nov. 08, 2024 Barbizon withdrew $249.50 from my bank account. I am not a customer, I have never requested services from them, and by them taking that money took away my rent and bill money. This is a stressful bind I am put in for no reason. I've tried contacting them with no return phone call or email. I just want my money back with no further withdraws from my account.

    I am rejecting this response because:I have reached out to them in June to cancel any involvement with this company. I am on a fixed income and by them randomly taking MY money from account I couldn't pay rent and now in danger of being evicted. I haven't received any notification that they are taking money from my account like I said it has been 5 months of no contact. I need my money back in my account I have 2 children and can't afford to be homeless due to BARBIZON. I don't have money to throw away.

    Hi *******, We understand your frustration and are sorry to hear about your circumstances. We do want to help get you to a resolution to cancel your account. It appears that on November 8 a manager connected with you via phone to do an in-depth review of the account you created earlier this year. It appears that you both were able to discuss conversations with your director about the distance of classes from your home during the initial sign up as well as opportunities to rejoin at a later time if you wish. She was able to review the cancellation policy with you and has also made a note that once your letter of cancellation has been received by their office a refund should be processed.

    I am rejecting this response because: I have sent them two letters to cancel one in June 2024 and the second was Nov 9th 2024 to the address that they provided and the letter came back saying that was the wrong address. ******** is NOT in that location. So how can anyone send a letter if the address they provide is incorrect? I regret putting my account information on the application for the interview because it has caused so much stress in my life by taking my rent money. The person at the address that they have provided is ******* Apple not an associate with Barbizon. It is no way for me to send mail to Barbizon at all, it is a SCAM to get people money. They need to be stopped ASAP!!!!

    We are sorry to hear your letter of cancellation was returned to you. We are attaching your online enrollment agreement as well as the refund policy for your review. These documents, which you were provided with during enrollment, include a copy of the correct business mailing address which correspondence should be sent to. We would always recommend checking these documents or reaching out to your local center to confirm any contact information before using ****** as it appears the letter you mailed was sent to an incorrect address. In an effort of additional customer service, we have asked your local center to use this correspondence in lieu of a postmarked letter. Unfortunately, they recently received notification of a chargeback process with the financial institution which you provided during enrollment. We are unable to provide a refund while a chargeback investigation is underway. As previously stated, we are willing to provide you a refund when your chargeback claim is denied by the bank because there is a contract in place and cancellation policy. At that time, please reach out to your local center directly at ************** and ask to speak with the admissions manager who had been helping you and she will be able to assist.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    I just want my money back. There's no need for me to contact Barbizon i've done that multiple times with no results. They knew back in June that we wouldn't continue they shouldn't have waited til November to take my money out. I have no letter from them stating missed payments from June through October. They do what they want without consequence because people allow them to do so. This is not fair and put so much stress on me and my family. I sent the notice in June and another in  November it's not my fault if they keep changing their address. I don't have the money to keep send certified mail to wrong addresses. They have been notified several times I pray they get themselves right because this is not professional at all. Thank you for your help but I still reject this claim. Barbizon know they are in the wrong and should give my money back.

    On 7/2/2024 my daughter was accepted into Barbizon Modeling School. I spoke with her Talent Director ** on 7/3/2024 regarding her enrollment. Initially I paid $50 to hold her spot & $137 was due when her first class started on Aug 31st. Unfortunately, I had a scheduling conflict beyond my control. I notified ** on 8/18/2024 of the conflict, she expressed that Paris could miss her first class. Her next agreed upon class would be 10/5/2024. During this time Barbizon attempted to debit my account multiple times with various amounts not the $137. agreed amount. The amounts were as follows:Aug. 29- $187 Sep 4-$217 Sep 4-$200 Sep 9th- $217 Sep 9th -$200 None of these transactions were authorized or went through , these attempts were unsettling . I received a text from ** on Sep. 10th stating my account was past due and when can I submit a payment. I asked why payment was needed if she hadnt started and was told it was needed for her to make up the first class which was never mentioned in our email conversation on Aug. 18th and 19th. Around this time there were a lot of personal issues transpiring In addition to this company seeming more interested in the money. I decided to terminate my daughters position. I contacted Barbizon to cancel and was told to send a certified letter to request cancellation, I expected a full refund as outlined on the contract. On 10/4/2024 I received a call from a ******** who I felt called in an effort to get ***** to stay in the school. I declined & simply asked that I be sent my refund. ******** stated that I was not entitled to a refund, stating their company had to spend money for make-up etc; this didnt make sense as the director ** was informed way before the start date of August 31st that she would not be in attendance. The agreement I signed stipulates that I am entitled to a full refund of $137.00 for a class my daughter never attended.I respectfully request your assistance in recovering my refund.
