  If I could give this car rental place a 0 star I would .. I had reservation thru Priceline . I traveled to Tampa had to take their shuttle to the off site rental. When I got there they said they cancelled our reservation because I was a hour late . Priceline said I had up to 2 hours . I was stuck at this place with 10 pieces of luggage and a newborn baby. I was basically scammed to buy another rental for 5 times the amount my original reservation was for and also had to pay a extra 100 for not using their insurance… this place is a total scam and I wish I read their reviews before

  I made a reservation with enough anticipation, through a third part called Priceline.I arrived in to Airport with my 11 years old boy. After a research we learned that they are not in the Airport but send a shuttle to grab their clients. The shuttle spent more than an hour to pick us up. Once in that place, a man incredible rude asked me for my documents and told me that my reservation was canceled because I arrived later than they expected, so they had another vehicle $400 over the price initially booked. He also grab my personal phone when I was trying to get my proof of auto insurance, and then he said that I should purchase their insurance because mine did not work. The price was increased $600 over the booking. I told him Ithat I didn’t have that amount of money, and then he said “cross the street and get another one”, while pointing at another business next to a 7eleven store. He was rude and didn’t care that I was with a child. After talking to relatives, we decided to go back to the shuttle, but it arrived half an hour later. The shuttle’s driver informed us that he would get a drink, and then my son and I were waiting for him for other 20’ under a 92 degrees outside. This “business should not be allowed to get people from the Airport. I was treated as a piece of garbage after coming to visit and spend money in this state (Florida) Thesr men has lack of consideration to women and children.

  Horrible! Unworthy of '1' star! False advertising! NOT ON AIRPORT. Have to take their shuttle Poor service. First hint: line out the door. Web site vs. 'house rules' inaccurate! I needed my insurance Declaration; had to contact insurance company! Rude to customers! They tried to have me buy their 'insurance' to pay the tolls; I paid less than $2! only had 1 toll road. Attitudes! NEVER coming back! Don't waste your time and money!

  They canceled our reservation. But said we could get you a car up selling, costing additional money. Wouldn't recommend this car rental agency. Stay away people

  We had a horrendous experience in Tampa Last weekend. Most of my issues were at check in. The first agent, Alex was rude and vindictive as he told me he was cancelling my reservation after asking for a manager in reference to why they were hitting me for .75/mile after the 50 mile a day allowance even though I live out of state. He then sent me back in line to get help from another representative. It took over 1.5 hours to finally get the car. Apparently hidden in the fine print is requiring a 0 deductible on insurance or there will be a $15/day waiver fee. I was also not able to use my own Sun Pass. Which of course then incurred a 14.99/day toll fee. He said there would be a $2500 hold on my credit card as a deposit. The return shuttle driver who took us back to the airport after we returned the car was yelling at me and threatening me. 2 families had to take Ubers because the driver went back to a car and vanished for so long, they were risking missing their flights. The racism, personal threats, and aggression was unjustified and unnecessary let alone having my wife and 7 year old there. They need to be investigated for unscrupulous business practices.

  This company is awful. They do not disclose that there are insurance companies they do not accept as proof of your own insurance and make you pay an extra fee for their liability on the rental.

  Like the others said here, bait and switch. I booked a little earlier before I landed to ensure they'd have the car. Nope, after an hour (we were only 1hr20min) they cancel the reservation completely. And magically the car they were supposed to have reserved is gone! I locked in my rate at $150 for 5 days. Woman goes back and says, "Okay, one of the other agencies has ONE car left... But it'll be $500." Not a CHANCE.What's worse? It happened to the people RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! You'd think this problem was this common they'd change they're practices. Nope. The scam seems to keep working. Ended up going to Enterprise a little further away from the airport for $215. Forget this place!

  Horrible service. First of we didn't know they weren't located at the **********' Airport so we had to wait for a shuttle to pick us up. There was actually a group of 4 total waiting for their shuttle. By the time we got to the rental place we found out they closed on 10 min and would not be accommodating us. All but one party had to get an Uber and figure out what to do. Will never use this company again.

  Mex Rent A Car made us lose a great deal by not accepting payment. If there were ZERO Stars, I would rate them that!
