Approximately 2 months ago I purchased a car from this dealership. Things were okay with the car for a while. On 3/6/2023 my car overheated while driving on the expressway. I called my roadside assistance, they came and made a temporary fix to allow me to get to my home. On 3/7/2023 I took it back to the original dealer. Upon inspection they told me it was the thermostat. They told me it would be ready the same day. When I didn't get a call, I called them and they told me it wouldn't be ready until the following day. Not good, but understandable. The following day they said the car was repaired and ready to go. I picked up the car to only get 20 minutes away and it again overheated. I called them, they were closing. The man who answered said he may not have purged the system after replacing the thermostat. This could and would lead to further damage. I took the car back. Instead of offering me a loaner car, since clearly the car wasn't repaired properly, I was forced to get a rental to get back and forth from work. Now they are trying to charge me additional fees to fix the damage claiming that there was new leak. A leak that wasn't noticed prior to the car overheating a second time, and after they gave the all clear for the car being repaired. Clearly the leak was never properly fixed or was caused by the 2nd overheating due to it not being purged. Regardless I have already paid to fix the car originally, and ****** for a rental. I should not be charged again and the car should be repaired at no additional cost to me because of the circumstances and lack of diligence by the dealership.
