On *** *** **** I purchased a mattress , box springs and frame from SEASIDE FURNITURE CO. I was charged $****** for the mattress set and $***** for the frame. Before I purchased it , I stated I did not want a "pillow top" mattress and that I wanted to be able to sit comfortably on it. I am 73 years old and only 5' 4" tall. I found a set that was comfortable but was difficult to sit on (too tall) I was assured that the frame would be lower to the ground and that the mattress was not a pillow top. She was very nice and also was her store so I took her word. When the items were delivered to me the next week, it was pouring rain out. When they came in with my mattress and box spring, they were not covered in plastic. Maybe they opened it in the truck but I thought it was odd since it was raining. I was left with no paperwork or information on the mattress or boxsprings. Also to my disappointment the bed was the same height as when I sat on the "model" in the store. I was under the impression those were floor models and that I would be getting brand new ones from their warehouse. Over the Holidays my son came down to visit me. While he was here, I had some chores for him, one of them was to flip my mattress and to move the box springs so I could vacuum the rug underneath the bed. Well to my surprise , it was then that I realized my mattress was a PILLOW TOP and that the box springs were not new. It appeared to me that they replaced the fabric on the bottom and haphazardly stapled it to the frame. There are even a few screws fastening the material. I have had many box springs in my life , this one that I have now, is not new . If it is new than is is not the quality that I paid for. I did not want or even ask for a USED boxspring. I have pictures but could not upload them from my phone to my computer, but will print them out if you need to see them. The owner appeared to be nice but maybe not. She did not sell me what I had asked for and lied to my face. On my invoice there are no numbers for them, Under Item, it says "mattress" and under box spring it says "bedroom" Also the description of the mattress says "Full Radiance Mattress Set" The mattress and box springs do not look like they go together and the mattress has a tag on it saying "American Bedding" and no other information.
