I signed up for Fund&Grow's business credit program with the expectation of receiving legitimate, professional assistance in obtaining funding for my small business. Instead, I was advised to submit a credit application using fabricated financials, including a projected $615,000 in annual revenue and $25,000 monthly revenue, which are not representative of my business's actual performance.Additionally, I was told to call the bank directly and present this information as my own, and to avoid mentioning Fund&Grows involvement during the application process. This immediately raised red flags for me, as it appeared to be an attempt to distance themselves from any liability and shift legal responsibility to me despite the fact that they prepared the information and were orchestrating the process. When I questioned these practices and asked for clarification on why they were recommending this approach, I was met with vague responses and no solid justification. After I formally requested to cancel the process and asked for a refund, I was issued one without hesitation or any attempt to retain my business, which further confirmed my concern that they were aware their practices were problematic and possibly ************ filing this complaint because I believe Fund&Grow is misleading consumers into committing potentially fraudulent acts by encouraging them to misrepresent financials to banks. This could expose unsuspecting business owners like myself to legal consequences and financial harm.I request that Fund&Grow be investigated for deceptive business practices and that the BBB takes appropriate steps to protect future customers from entering into agreements under false pretenses.Business Response

Thank you for the opportunity to address Ms. ******** concerns.
We respectfully disagree with the claims made in the complaint. To clarify:
- Ms. ******** complaint claims the disputed amount is $39,997; however, our records confirm her actual payment was $3,997 for our services. She was also charged $100 total for 2 months of a Premium Coaching monthly subscription.
- Fund&Grow does not falsify any client information. As part of our on-boarding process, we request clients to provide projected revenue figures to complete necessary funding applications. These projections are estimates and are not altered or misrepresented by Fund&Grow. Supporting evidence of the lenders request for projected revenue, which demonstrates the standard nature of this request, has been attached for review.
- **************** raised concerns, our team made multiple good-faith attempts to discuss and clarify the information with her. We reached out via phone, text, and email on April 22, 2025, when we were first notified of her dissatisfaction, and again on April 23, 2025. Unfortunately, *************** declined to engage in a constructive conversation and instead alleged that our efforts to resolve the confusion were further evidence of wrongdoing. Please see attached.
- While we typically work with clients to resolve concerns before processing a refund, in this case, given Ms. ******** immediate insistence and unwillingness to discuss the matter, we honored her request and agreed to issue a full refund, despite her being outside of the 60-day money back guarantee and services being rendered.
- At the time the complaint was submitted, her refund was already in process but not yet completed as we were attempting to reach her. As of now, her refund has been completed in full for the $3,997 membership charge and $100 for the Premium Coaching monthly subscription.
Fund&Grow takes client satisfaction seriously and strives to maintain transparency and integrity in all interactions. We regret that Ms. ******** experience did not meet her expectations and wish we had the opportunity to discuss the confusion in a productive way prior to this escalating.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:Thank you for the opportunity to respond.
I strongly stand by my original complaint and would like to clarify a few key points in response to Fund&Grows rebuttal:
Projected Revenue Misrepresentation:
Fund&Grow asked me to submit a credit application to a lender using revenue projections that were completely fabricated and not reflective of my businesss actual performance. While they now frame this as a standard practice, they did not present it to me as an estimate for internal use they instructed me to call the lender directly and represent the figures as my own, without disclosing Fund&Grows involvement. This level of orchestration clearly crosses the line from simply inputting projections to coaching a client into potentially misleading a financial institution.
Avoiding Liability:
The fact that I was explicitly told not to mention Fund&Grows involvement during lender interactions was a red flag and, in my view, a clear attempt to distance themselves from liability should the submission of inflated numbers raise concerns. This is not a transparent business practice it's a tactic designed to offload legal risk onto the customer.
Dismissive Customer Support:
When I raised concerns and asked why this approach was being recommended, I received vague, dismissive answers such as weve been doing this for ****************************************************************************************************** how they were supposed to be justifiable given my real business metrics. Instead of addressing my concerns, I was met with defensiveness.
Refund Behavior Supports My Claims:
Fund&Grows willingness to issue a full refund, with no questions asked and despite being outside of their normal refund window, further supports my concern that they knew the practices in question were problematic and did not want them scrutinized further.
Final Clarification:
I did not decline to engage in conversation I questioned the legality and ethics of what I was being advised to do. I sought transparency, and Fund&Grow could not provide it. This is not a matter of miscommunication; its a matter of business practices that I believe are misleading, ethically questionable, and potentially expose clients to legal consequences.
I continue to urge the BBB to investigate Fund&Grows practices thoroughly, especially their handling of financial information and how they instruct clients to communicate with lenders. Consumers should be protected from being unknowingly placed in legal gray areas under the guise of standard procedures.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
******** *******Business Response

Complaint: 23237141
I am rejecting this response because:Fund&Grows statement does not address the core ethical concern I raised which is not about whether they reviewed their internal processes, but how those processes are presented to clients in practice.
While they claim compliance and transparency, I was instructed to present exaggerated financial projections to lenders as if they were accurate, and to avoid disclosing Fund&Grows role in preparing that information. That is not transparent its misleading. Their refusal to acknowledge the seriousness of that guidance only reinforces my concern that this is standard operating procedure, not an isolated issue.
Fund&Grows repeated emphasis that they regret my experience did not meet expectations is a deflection not a resolution. The concern isnt about customer satisfaction; its about potentially deceptive business practices that could expose consumers to legal consequences.
I again urge the BBB to continue documenting this case and monitoring this business for patterns of behavior that may put other clients at risk. A refund is not accountability and I reject this response as insufficient.Sincerely,

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Fund&Grow, for their failure to meet their promises and deliver the services they assured me during the sales and onboarding process. On 11/22/2022, I engaged Fund&Grow's services with the understanding that they would secure a minimum of $50,000-$250,000 in funding for my financial needs. The cost for their services was upward of $4000.00. I was reassured by their sales team that this investment would yield at least three funding rounds, resulting in a minimum of a LEAST $50,000.However, I am disappointed with the results. Fund&Grow managed to complete only one funding round, which did not come close to the promised minimum amount. Adding to my frustration, Fund&Grow promised to START NEXT ROUND OF FUNDING THEY ALSO PROMISED IT WOULD BE UNDER MY BUSINESS EIN. THEY DID THE APPLICATIONS WITH MY PERSONAL INFORMATION NOT MY BUSINESS SO NOW IT SHOWS ON MY PERSONAL CREDIT REPORT. To make matters worse, they threatened to remove the discount they had offered if the payment was not made within a UPFRONT. This not only felt deceptive but placed undue financial pressure on i feel deceived and misled by Fund&Grow's false promises and unprofessional conduct. i HAVE REACHED OUT BEFORE TO SEE IF THEY COULD MAKE THINGS RIGHT AND ONCE I FOUND OUT THEY USED MY PERSONAL INFORMATION I STOPPED MESSAGING THEM. I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH ISSUES WITH MY CRDIT SINCE ALL THE INQUIRES AND MISLED INFORMATION. They have shown a complete disregard for their client's satisfaction, and their shady sales practices are wholly unacceptable. My goal in filing this complaint is to receive a FULL refund for the program because what was promised was not delivered. I also want to warn others against falling victim to their deceitful marketing strategies and unreliable services. In conclusion, I strongly advise against using Fund&Grow's services. They fail to keep their word, lack transparency, and operate with questionable ethics.THEY RUINED MY PERSONAL CREDITBusiness Response

*********************** signed up with a -$700 discount for $3,297 on 11.29.2021. Prior to enrollment, he was informed he would need to build his personal credit profile to qualify for business funding. We helped form his LLC in *******. After he completed Credit Repair (a service we do not offer), we began funding on 03.10.2022. ****** agreed to us applying for personal credit on his behalf, as it was necessary for his ongoing success in the program. We obtained three approvals; two personal credit lines and one business, as agreed. We extended ******'s membership terms to account for the extra personal credit seasoning. We maintained regular weekly communication with ****** up through October 2022, with several discussions on how our service had actually improved his personal and business credit reports, as well his progress on Inquiry Removal to ensure he was in the most lendable position to proceed with additional business financing. There were multiple efforts to get client started with his next round of funding. Client stopped responding to our calls, text messages, and emails as of October 2022. We proceeded to continue reaching out for 6 months, as is policy, before placing his file on hold. This complaint is the first we have heard of *********************** since his disappearance.
Following this complaint, we have attempted to reengage with ****** (including the new contact information listed) and he has remained unresponsive. We are happy to reactive ******'s membership, as was always the plan, should he actually reconnect with us. The claims made in this complaint are not accurate based on the circumstances. We would appreciate the opportunity to clear up the matter with the client.Initial Complaint

************* is requesting an extension on our deadline to resolve this complaint. Though we are unable to guarantee a specific number of rounds or funding amount, proper accommodations were made to ensure ***** would receive value in his service beyond our contractual requirements. ************* has and will always honor discounts and payment arrangements, and in this case even covered the **************** fees (referenced in the complaint) on behalf of client when the payment extension became due. Neither *****, nor *************, are of the opinion that services have been completed and we have and will continue to honor our prior commitments. This has been a very poor experience. They have delivered $7700 of credit through Amex of which we already have 4 cards with them (I could of and would have done that myself). We attached our bank account and received the credit, they then pretended they diligent worked for that credit. TOTAL LIE. 3 other accounts were denied and zero follow up was proven. So, I paid $4k to receive $7700 in credit? I prefer my $4k cash that I do not have to pay back. What a joke. I have a 770 credit score, extremely low debt, a new LLC, and $75K in the business account. THEY WAY WAY WAY over sold this, and WAY WAY WAY under delivered. I asked for the money back guarantee, ************************* denied it and said I was funded. A total farse.Business Response

I started with ************* in January of this year. They ran a preliminary check of my credit and told me I would be an ideal client. After taking over $1300 dollars from me they told me they could not help me until I took off some inquires from my credit report. I asked them for a refund and they advised that they would work with me after all. For several months to attempted to get me a business credit card which they made me follow up with the banks on my own since my rep ****** was not able to do anything on my behalf. They lied to me the entire process and in the end I did not receive any of the credit lines they promised me. I have been sending emails to their managers and no one is responding. They are a scam, stay away from *************.Business Response

100% scam. they continue to lie to me over and over then as soon as I'm "locked" in they laughed at me over the phone. free for the first year turned into well you no longer qualify and $4,000 is due but don't worry you have 60 days to back out and get refunded if your not satisfied with the results. then 48 days later, I'm not satisfied, I didn't pay $4,000 to get a personal credit card with a limit of $15,000 I could of done that myself. but I was told that I had to activate the card. as soon as I did they told me according to terms and service I no longer can cancel and I lost the $4,000 permanently. this entire process is a person getting you to lose the $4,000 then move on to the next client they provide nothing at any value ever.Business Response

I paid $3,500 to Fundngrow and was led to believe that I could use the funds to acquire real estate as a down payment to wire to escrow. I had a deal under contract and the escrow company told me that they do not accept funds from 3rd party (*******). I went back and for with both ******* and fundngrow to resolve the issue and did not get help. Lost that deal. If ******* won't comply with the wishes of *************** (*******, **) escrow/title companies then Fundngrow should probably discontinue partnering with them. I asked Fundngrow for my initial $3,500 back, but they did not comply. The only reason I was using the credit was to acquire real estate, and I lost out on a deal that I had under contract, very disappointing.Business Response

************* is deceptive with the services they claim they can provide in getting you business credit. I signed up with them and paid $4000 after they stated that they would be able to assist me with obtaining business credit for my business. They never stated that a minimum personal credit score of 700 before they even start to work with you. I did not find that out until months after I had paid the $4000. They also do not tell you all the other requirements necessary to submit business credit applications before taking your $4000. Its seems everytime I call them to inquire about when I could start applying for business credit, there seems to be a new requirement. Also, their credit score never seems to match any of my credits scores that I see. My last call was today 1/11/23 and I was told for the first time that I can not get funding because I have a personal Bankruptcy and it should be at least 5 yrs old. I signed up for ************* around July 2022, My 5 years for the bankruptcy is not up until Dec 2023. Had I known this requirement, I would not have paid $4000 leaving me to wait approx 18 months before they can even start by business loan app. I am fed up with excuse after excuse for why they can help me. Fund and Grown needs to be truth about the requirements needed for them to assist with Business Credit. They take your money first and then disclose all the things that will prevent or delay you getting business credit I would like a full refund due to their deception of being able to get you business credit and not being truth and forthcoming on what will prevent or delay you. I don't see where they practice full disclosure, but instead deliberately hold back information necessary for the consumer to make the right decision regarding their services usefulnessBusiness Response

I was referred to them by a friend that used this service a few years back prior to new ownership. I signed up March 13,2022 paid $3497.00 for their service plus an additional $400 to Keydem credit repair to remove one late pay which Fund&grow referred. They stalled my process, did nothing to help my credit. I spoke to a manager name *********************** whom is the operation manager in reference to my unsatisfactory experience. He assured me he would handle everything personally. Nevertheless he never kept his promises. I called, text & emailed with no response as of yet. Today Im even more disappointed because the program is one year & thus far my partner has only acquired $1200 in funding after 2 rounds, 8 ******************* which positions him far worse than started. As for me I have obtained $13000 whereas Ive been able to establish more without them. This feels very sketchy/fraudulent because prior to my final payment Id get every call returned immediately. When youre charging 4grand for a service I expect better customer service along with expertise on what your providing. Neither has been available. My hopes are that I eventually get what is paid for expeditiously and no one else experiences this. Please help, thanks in advance!Business Response
