      I am very disappointed. I don't know how I got signed up with ap&g but the last while our electric was crazy high. But living on a dairy farm we use lots of fans in the summer to cool the cows. When my bill went from the crazy high of $3444 in June to $6000 in July I knew we had a problem! **** said the reason our bill is so high is because we are with AP&G and that what we are being charge is 0.18 kwh and **** charges 0.07kwh. I spent at least 5 hrs on the phone with AP&G. The person I talked to to cancel my plan was so rude, he argued with me that the $2000 rebate on my appliances breaking down was worth overpaying $8000 or more a year for?! And that 0.01 kwh more than **** was a good deal because I get rewards! I put 800 reward points (3 yrs worth of points) into gift card drawing that day and didn't win a thing! I finally had to hang up on him because he wouldn't help me. Calling back again I finally got someone who could give me a rebate on my $6000 electric bill. $544 hardly feels like a help in paying that big of a bill! Switching back to just **** they quoted our bill to be around $1100. Big savings to $6000! But I still have to pay this bill!!! I feel very cheated when an employee says they can charge whatever I just need to watch my bill to make sure there price is in range! So much for respect and honesty

      Took the first time customer rate and did not receive updates and got hit with astronomical rates and try to contact them several times and got rerouted and ended up going no where and call back is a joke. Only way out was to switch power supply carrier. DO NOT engage with American Power as they jack up the rates 3-4 times!

      Berated me to sign up with them saying they were the cheapest, decided to give them a try and now all of the sudden overnight they had a huge increase... in which they stated they do not send out notices for increases no matter the jump... and my bill that has never been a dollar over $300 is now $520.27!!!!!! Thankfully I just moved and cancelled them and went back with *** because they are scammers. They said its all over the news and I shouldve found out about the increase there... absolutely not okay. After being transferred several times and them begging me to stay with their ridiculous rates they agreed on refunding me $130 via Zelle and it will be sent on either Tuesday or Thursday at 5 pm EST... Still no credit so now here I am calling again. DO NOT SWITCH!!! You will have 1 good year to then be completely screwed over with no excuse other than they can increase any time they would like!!!!!

      This is a scam. Their sales team will offer an attractive variable rate, but within a month or 2 the rate will dramatically increase. There is no warning that the rate changed and you'll only find out once you receive the bill and get stuck paying it. For example, my bill went from $834 in June to $1516 in July.When you call to cancel you will get a pitch to keep the service and they will even give you a bit of a rebate in check form. I fell for it and agreed to stay on board with my business account (but removed my home account, thankfully). Again, the rate was good but 2 months later it went to ******** when my local provider's price to compare is ******. I called to cancel for good, and after another sales pitch with my insisting I'm no longer interested in keeping American Power & Gas as my supplier, I was told they would send the cancellation request to PECO and then abruptly hung up on ****** disappointed in myself for falling for this bait and switch scam, twice. Live and learn and hopefully others reading this won't fall into the trap.

      I enrolled two different times through www.papowerswitch.com. Once in 2024 and once in 2025. Both times I chose "Fixed Rate" as well as multiple other filters, including: No Cancellation Fee No Enrollment Fee No Monthly Fee Not an Introductory Price. Both times after I received the "Customer Disclosure Statement" from American Power & Gas, I had been enrolled in Variable Rate & Introductory Rate. What you choose on the PaPowerswitch site and then the program you are enrolled in through American Power & Gas, are two different programs. When I called to let the A. P. & G. know that I had not chosen a variable rate the customer service rep. argued with me and continued speaking over me. When I tried to explain that there was a discrepancy between the two sites, the woman would not allow me to speak. I finally had to hang up because she would not lower her voice and continued to be very disrespectful.

      Awful company to deal with. Their rate went from 11 cents per kilowatt in June to 17 in July. I got hit with an electric bill of over $360. I understand incremental increases on a variable rate, but 6 cents overnight is a joke. No other provider incurred an increase either, so there's no excuse. When I called to cancel, one of their salesmen berated me on the phone and kept trying to argue with me over canceling the service. He was rude, nasty, and I can't believe the company condones that kind of behavior. It's been almost a week, and they still haven't removed me from their service as I requested, so I'm getting charged by the day at a rate I did not agree to. Never again will I do business with this company. CROOKS!
