I cannot say anything bad about JL Midas Breathe Kleen Aire. They are awesome. From the time ****** came out to the time *** and his guys left today, I cannot say anything bad. ****** was ever so polite and told us everything that they would do and could be out Monday (today). Another company we had contacted said it would cost about $4,000 MORE to do the job and it would be cheaper if we did it in October. They showed us pictures of the before and after and even I, an untrained eye, could see the difference. They were here around 9 this morning and left just about 4 this afternoon after they cleaned up all the mess they made. I cannot recommend them more highly. If I need anything else, I sure will call them again. :)

I had JL Midas clean out my upper register vents on my double wide house in Barefoot Bay. They conned me into inspecting my underneath duct work . 2 young workers found a "tear" and gave me a $3300 estimate. I had another outfit check out the duct work and "tear" and told me it could have not been an animal but a fresh cut . I believe JL Midas did it. Can I prove it ? No. But no other outfit was under there for years . I believe this outfit scams seniors. Buyer beware !

**************.  We were quite surprised to see your review since it is now April and we were out to your home in November.  We were also a bit astounded that we did not receive one single phone call from you with this concern.  It is not our practice to sabotage our customers homes to make a sale.  Accusing a company of something to this magnitude, in a review, based on comments from another contractor...who just so happens to be our competition, is not fair.   Frankly it is quite unprofessional of the other company to insinuate that we sliced your duct. We take before and after photos of all of our work, which includes photos from under your home.  Upon reading your review, we pulled your photos to inspect them according to your accusation.  We found the following:  The duct with the "tear" is so aged that it is grey in color.  *** mobile home flex is black ducting.  Due to the age of the duct it split and split naturally. We can absolutely guarantee this for 2 reasons.  1.) There are still fibers connecting the two sides where the duct split.  Had the duct been sliced, those fibers would have been cut as well. 2.) The insulation is flush.  The insulation would have been cut or shown signs of a slice based on your scenario.  Our photos also show that your vapor barrier is falling down and in need of attention.  We would be more than happy to share these photos to anyone interested in seeing them.

************We are new owners (Less than a year) of a house in Barefoot Bay. Contracted JL Midas to investigate musty/mildewy odor in November 2023. Friendly & professional technician determined that we had a mold problem which was validated by pictures. Contracted with them to remove/replace all crawlspace insulation/vapor barrier. Upon removal of same, JL Midas work team leader provided more pictures of exposed areas showing a more extensive mold problem. It was suggested, and agreed to, that an ozone treatment of the affected crawlspace area be conducted prior to installation of new insulation and vapor barrier. Upon completion of the ozone treatment, new insulation and new vapor barrier were installed. Throughout the whole process, from initial contact through final install, all members of the JL Midas Breathe Kleen Aire team were complete professionals in their interaction with us and in their work. The owner, in ************ hunting at the time, was on the phone daily (2-3 times) with us to explain the how, what and why's of the whole process. We feel that we made an excellent choice in choosing JL Midas and would highly recommend them to anyone needing similar work performed.

***** & ***** were personal friends of ours. So if they will screw us over they will definitely screw you over.Pictures below are from finished work. Horrible service. Holes in brand new duct work we had them do. We also paid to have them insulate entire house. They half ass did the insulation. Had to get them out 5 different times. Also it’s not a drug free workplace. If I need to show time stamped and dated pictures. I can. I also have nasty text messages from Lauri. I’ve waited 3 months to post this review so I could cool off and post an honest review

I call JL Midas Breathe Kleen Aire because I saw something black in A Large duck area when the technician came out he said it was mold. And it has traveled up to the main duck area. I agreed to have the whole house re-duck. but the technician said he will need to go through the Roof to reach and re-insulate the large duck area. I agreed to the technician going through the roof. But when the technician got here to do the work. he said there was Another way to get the mold out besides going through the roof. I asked him how. He said they will hand clean the mold out and use this stuff call Airseal. I asked him will the price be the same he said yes and tried to explain why. next question was when the ** come on will that stuff/airseal blow out of the ** he said no it will get hard. It did but Every time the ** come on that stuff/airseal is blowing out of all the vents over the whole house. the technician came back after putting me on hold for months for one reason after another. And did A duck cleaning with A regular vacuum that did not work. that stuff/Airseal is still coming out over my whole house I call for weeks the owner would never speak to me. I left messages kept talking with the receptionist for weeks. until the receptionist finally told me the owner said there was nothing else they can do. You didn't do anything. And the work is still under warranty. THAT IS SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND UN**CEPTABLE.

On October 25, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. per your request, we came out for a free on-site estimate to inspect the ductwork in your attic.  Our technician did a full inspection, as we agreed to do, and provided you with options to correct the problem.  On the estimate our technician listed all options available, and you chose the second option to have approximately 8' x 4' of duct board to be cleaned and resealed.  This includes cutting access into the original roof (you have two roofs on your house) to allow us to reach all areas.  You chose a date and time that worked for you, signed the contract and paid your 50% down.  On October 29, 2022, the date you scheduled the work with us, we performed all work agreed to, and spoke to you about the need to replace four (4) of the ducts that were not repairable after we got into the job and were able to see more after cutting the access hole.  There were three (3) drops and the main trunk line.  We replaced with R-6 Flex duct and installed one (1) new large distribution box, new collars, hung and sealed all new ducts.  The work order was signed, and you paid us in full.  On November 7th, 2-4 p.m. you requested we come back out to check airflow.  We came out, checked it with our meter and all airflow was as it should be.  On November 14th, 3-4 p.m. you requested we come back to inspect again.  Our technicians did a thorough inspection of the work done previously and everything is sealed and attached as it should be.  On March 18th, **** p.m. you requested another inspection, and we came back out.  We explained to you the first time you were there, it would be best to replace the entire duct system as we cannot warranty or guarantee a partially replaced duct system.  It is all connected so what might be left in the ducts can go anywhere throughout the entire system.  The only time we warranty a duct system is a complete replacement.  We noted this on the estimate from 10-25-22, which you signed.  I have these documents showing that the 5 year warranty was on replacement of the entire system.  We have been more than generous coming out each time you asked, no charge.  The last time you called for us to look at it again, we had to let you know that our work was completed and there is nothing more that can be done unless you want to replace the entire duct system, which would solve the issues of dust still coming out. That dust could be in any of the ducts not replaced and in your AC system which is connected to the duct system.  Giving us a bad review because of your choice to only do pieces of the duct system, when we gave you the best option and you chose not to do it, is not a fair review.  We will be happy to provide the documents referred to in this response to the BBB or any consumer wishing to see that we did exactly what ****************** chose AND the statement as to what has a warranty and what does not.

*** **** ****** ** *********, ** ***** I contracted with JL Midas in Sebastian, FL to install attic insulation and 2 solar panels
with 2 attic fans. Way OVER priced!! My BIG mistake. I'm convinced the lead installer has no training or experience on QuietCool products or solar panel standards. On site arrival he told me that I MUST HIRE an electrician to install 2 AC outlets for the AC fan inverters. Does he do this with all contract customers?
The solar panels were mounted on the south facing outside wall. WHY? Solar panels should ALWAYS be mounted on a south facing rooftop. The fans quit working as soon as the high April sun came. NO....he never came back to correct the panel location that he promised he would. The office took 3 messages but I got no response.
I also had a phone experience with the owner of JL Midas. He is lacking ANY customer skills training. Totally out of control. It is my best advice that you avoid this company.
This company is not a certified solar installer.

During our initial estimate with Mr. *****, he was informed that we cannot touch his roof to install his fans on his rooftop.  We are not a licensed roofing contractor.  Our technician discussed the option of using attic fans to circulate the air. Mr. ***** hired our company to install 2 attic fans that he originally wanted to run as solar only.  Mr. ***** decided on the placement of the fans, and was advised by the technician that his chosen spot would be a problem.  Mr. ***** insisted on the placement in his chosen spot so the technician installed as directed.  After the fans were installed, Mr. ***** changed his mind about powering the fans and inquired about hard wiring into the electric.  Our technician informed him that he would have to hire a licensed electrician for this phase.  Mr. ***** then inquired about plugging in the fans.  Our technician informed him that he would still need to hire a licensed electrician to install the outlets.  We are not a licensed electric contractor.  Our part of the install was complete at this point.  Our technician informed Mr. ***** that we would return to run the plug to the electric switch once it was installed.  Mr. ***** payed for the install by check, but contacted his bank several days later and cancelled payment on the check.  The owner of the company contacted Mr. ***** to explain that the work we were contracted to do was complete and that his changing his mind about the power source had no bearing upon the scope of work listed on the contract.  The owner further stated that he would not return to run the plug to the power source until another check was issued to cover the install.  A few months later, our company was contacted by Mr. ***** to move the solar panels.  Since placement of the panels went against our recommendations during the install, we informed Mr. ***** that there would be a charge to move the panels.  Mr. ***** did not want to pay for this service.  Several conversations took place between our technician and Mr. ***** regarding the fee to move the panels.  The owner of the company ultimately decided to refuse any further work being done for Mr. ***** as he is a high risk for cancelling checks after the work is complete.
