*********************** ************************************************************* ************ ***************** August 2, 2024 Dear *** or Madam: I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Sash and Sill, LLC, located at ************************************************. The contractor license number as indicated on the contract is CGC1528665, the presidents name is *****************. This complains concerns a series of fraudulent practices I have encountered in my dealings with **** and Sill, LLC, in addition to its subcontractors performing the window install for my home, which have resulted in financial loss and considerable distress. My complaint includes the following issues: 1. Delay in service and misleading claims: The windows installation job has not been completed as of August 2, 2024. My last communication attempt with **** and Sill, LLC was on August 1, 2024 with the email to *****************. In response I have received a solicitation offer of assistance from a company named *************************** No response was received from *********************. 2. Egregious business practices and unresponsive customer service: a. I paid the $7,110 deposit (50% of the $14,220 contract co furnish and install 11 impact windows) and signed on a contract with Sash and ******** to complete the work. The second installment payment in the amount of $5,688 was paid as a commencement fee on June 24. b. On July 10, 2024, two weeks after the incomplete installation of my windows on June *****, 2024 and pending a final visit/fix from the company, I received an email from company president ***************** informing customers that he was forced to file for bankruptcy due to unforeseen circumstances. The office was closed, nobody from **** and Sill was available for communication. c. I got a call from *********************** of Gulf Cost Windows and More, **** with whom I had never engaged or been made aware of. This installer led me to believe he was an employee of Sash and Sill, LLC while scheduling a visit to provide the window installation on June *****. The installation was not finished as indicated by the Installation Checklist. I was informed of the upcoming visit by someone to complete the job on July 15, 2024. No one came to my home on that date, and when I called to follow up, I was shocked to learn that *** was not an employee of Sash and Sill, LLC, but another installer managing work crews on the Sash and **** companys behalf. He told me he could complete the job for an additional cost of $250 to engage his services. I was confused and frustrated and declined to welcome a contractor I never met into my home. 3. Fraud: On July 5, I received a letter from Direct Window and Door, the window supplier for Sash and Sill, LLC, containing a Notice to Owner of Construction Lien Law. One week later, on July 12, I received a claim of lien on my home in the amount of $7,628.94. I believe the clock has started with one year to determine what happens next with this lien, and I am devastated by this experience. 4. Emotional distress: I have been a homeowner in the state of ******* since 2013, and in other U.S. states prior for decades. I have never missed a mortgage or credit card payment, let alone have I ever had a lien placed on my home. I am extremely concerned about the possibility of foreclosure, in addition to having windows in my home that literally do not open, on top of the financial loss I have suffered. Specifically, I am requesting, A full refund of the amount paid for the incomplete work. A repeal of the lien placed on my home. An investigation into the business practice of Sash and Sill, LLC; Direct Window and Door, and Gulf Coast Windows and More, **** for deceiving customers about the availability of materials and labor to complete this job. I am ready to provide any and all documentation in support of my complains. I believe that these companies actions constitute fraud and breach of contract, and I am seeking the Better Business Bureaus assistance in resolving this matter. I have been taken advantage of, and I eagerly await your assistance in this matter. Thank you for your time and attention. Please contact me at ************ or ***************** for any further information or clarification. Sincerely, **************************** from *********************** (*****************)

Signed a contract on March 14th, 2024 for one hurricane french door and one hurricane window. Gave the salesperson a check for $5,000. Called in June to check up on my order, but no definite delivery or installation date was given. Called again today, but no answer. Emailed sales **** but no response. Looked on the internet to see if there was an alternate phone number and discovered that the business was going to file for bankruptcy.

In February we contracted with Sash&Sill for an impact window and door due to damage from Hurricane ***. We gave two separate deposits totaling $5607.00 and a timeframe of 3-5 months. On June 11, we called for an update and were told via email that our products would be in around 7/16 and installation would be within a week. On 7/10, we received an email from *****************, the owner of the business, claiming he was filing for bankruptcy. We have emailed, called, and texted asking for a refund. We have learned he never ordered our materials and he did not file for a permit. He is using two different license number; only one is in his name. He has not filed for bankruptcy!

Ordered windows from Sash and Sill March 9. Paid a 50% of $6300. Permit was to be obtained and windows ordered by supplier. Windows were to be installed mid June. Many calls and no response. Have just learned that **** and **** had closed. Many others is same situation since March 2024. Company had excellent reputation and ratings prior to shutting down.

I entered into a contract with Sash and Sill to supply and install 29 new PGT Impact-Rated windows. The contract was signed on 2/15/2024 and a deposit was paid with a personal check in the amount of $25,850 which they deposited on 2/21/2024. I was told that the time frame for delivery of the windows would be ***** weeks. It has been 22 weeks since the contract was signed and payment sent and I still don't have my windows nor any sense of when or if my order will be fulfilled. When I reached out to the sales consultant I placed the order with I am told they still have not received our windows from the manufacturer. When I reached out directly to the window manufacturer today (7/18/24) I was told **** and **** has never placed my window order. I have sent emails, texts and voicemails to the owner of **** and **** and received no response. I am requesting a full refund of my deposit and to cancel the order.

I paid a deposit in the amount of $1725.00 on May 10, 2024, half of the total cost of the installation for my front door. The door was supposed to be installed and the remaining balance paid. However, I received an email from owner ***************** on July 10th stating that the business has closed and is declaring bankruptcy. The owner will not return phone calls, emails and no one is at the office to assist customers. I want a full refund of $1725.00.

I want to express how deeply sorry I am that we were not able to complete all of contracts.  *********** no longer has active employees.  We had a series of difficult unforeseen circumstances that led to financial insolvency.  We are not able to get any material that was made unless we pre-pay for the material.  I simply do not have the funds to make it happen.  I am heartbroken for our customers but at this point, a trustee for the bankruptcy will control how assets will be distributed.  I worked on trying to get another window company to partner with us to finish the projects.
